This was a great tour and a good way to see Mindo if you can only do a day trip. Our guide Ximena (?) was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and funny providing lots of information throughout the day. The itinerary of the tour was able to be flexed to our interests. We did the waterfall walk, hummingbirds, Zipline and butteryfly garden. We also added on an additional hummingbird visit at the end after mentioning we had yet to see a toucan on our travels, luckily at this site we were able to see two different species! Ximena knew lots about the different bird and plant species we saw.We would throughly recommend this tour!

Diana, our guide was exceptional. She had an incredible knowledge not only of Quito and the history of Ecuador, but her passion for nature and preservation was to be admired. She tailored our trip perfectly to meet our needs and was extremely professional at all times and an excellent driver. I would 100% recommend this trip and ask for Diana as your guide.

This was such a good experience. The tour of the market was so interesting and we got to try several local fruits. The food in the class was amazing. They made sure to explain the steps so you can prepare everything again on your own. I would book early during your stay since you will learn about a lot of local foods you will later find in restaurants.

Wonderful Experience
We had an amazing afternoon with Margola, Sylvia and Andres as they shared their love and knowledge of local foods, customs and culture. We enjoyed the visit to the central market and learning about and tasting native fruits. The cooking class was amazing. We learned so much about local dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques. The dishes we learned to make were delicious and they were able to accommodate for one of our group who is vegan. We would definitely recommend this experience!

10/10 experience. My friend and I really enjoyed visiting the market, trying some different fruits. Then the cooking portion was so much fun! They gave us recipes I will absolutely be recreating for my family when I return home. The food was amazing and we got to take home what we didn't finish. Absolutely recommend!

Definitely ride the bicycle on the zip line. Feeding the humming birds was awesome. A lot of scenic views in the beautiful mountains. With lots of driving. Xemina ( probably spelled wrong.) Was an amazing tour guide? I highly recommend her. She's very knowledgeable and knows the area very well. She gave us a very personal experience. Based on our needs and our abilities.

Ivan was a wonderful...
Ivan was a wonderful guide. We liked the flexibility of choosing what activities we did to tailor the trip to our wants. Two of our group were able to ride the cable car both ways while the other two were able to do the hike to the waterfall and ride the cable car back which was very nice. Ivan was informative and easy to understand. And we had the best driver, Angel, who drove expertly on the narrow, bumpy road to the cable car.

Miriam was an excellent tour guide. Very personable; very knowledgeable; great communicator. This is a long day’s trip, but well worthwhile. Mindo is a fascinating town; and the hike to the waterfalls wasa great way to appreciate the biodiversity of the area. The hike back up to the cable car was a bit of an altitude challenge. Hummingbirds were spectacular, and the stop at the chocolate factory was educational and fun.
