We really enjoyed this tour. The pace was just right so I got to stop and take lots of pictures. Our guide was full of stories and history which we love. The people we encountered in Rye were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this before exploring on your own

Helen did an excellent job creating a day of wine tasting for me! I was traveling solo and wanted to try British wines. She organized a variety of tastings at 3 wineries that were all unique in their offerings! I got a great example of all the types of wine produced here and had a great vineyard tour from a winery owner. I was coming from London and she helped direct me where and when to meet her in Ashford. Her communication was very appreciated! Can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience and highly recommend her! She can also create other trips, like seeing local castles or marshy areas, depending on what is requested! I hope to return and use her services again!

Nice streets to wander around. Plenty of interesting and varied buildings to see up cobbled roads. Climb the church tower for a good view. Plenty of coffee shops etc

Can't say enough good about this excursion. Tanya met us at train, took us to Battle of Britton museum, Battle memorial, a delightful spot for lunch, and the Dover Cliffs from above and below. She was very informative, knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Wonderful time with Tanya who was both knowledgeable and personable. A great lesson in history and reminder to pay our respects and deepest gratitude the hero’s who gave so much to us all.

Spent 5 days with the family, staying in a large house. Loved roaming around, sun rise over the wetlands, croissants from the bakery, lunch at the abundant cafes, lovely shops, dinner at the many choices of pubs, wandering the streets after the tourists had gone,every building is special. Pick up the local handsaws street map and meander down the backstreets so you don’t miss a thing. Only issue is parking…lots of small car parks down the bottom. Time limited so you end up going up and down to redo the parking. Odd few spaces up in the town if you’re lucky. Avoid Thursday market day, parking nightmare unless you get there early. You could easily spend the whole day here if the parking wasn’t such an issue. NOTE: Bit boring for kids and the cobbles a complete ‘mare for disabled.

Wonderful outing, very historic and quaint village south of London. It has definitely been discovered, though - the train nearly empties at the little station. But it's worth the trip, absolutely authentic. Plenty of centuries-old pubs to choose from, perfect for a day trip for shopping, drinking or foodies. Enjoy!

Fabulous day out at 3 incredible wine estates in Rye area of Sussex. Thanks to Helen for all her organising - we discovered great English wines at 3 very different estates!

We were given this wine tour as a wedding present, and I have to admit that I wasn't expecting anything special. And, boy was I surprised by the variety of wines and the care taken over the wines, but most of all by Helen and her hospitality and knowledge of the area and the history. Having her drive us around, really made the tour as we could have driven ourselves to the vineyards but having Helen do all the heavy lifting aka organising was a bonus. We were able to sit back and just enjoy the experience - and not worry about how much we could drink or how to get around.The day began with Helen picking us up at 10am from our hotel. She then drove us to our first stop, a lovely old vineyard which produces organic and bio dynamic wines, which was followed by another tour and tasting with a tasty lunch. I won't spoil the surprise by naming the vineyards, but Helen had curated a day of wine tasting and an education in viticulture that tapped into the new way of producing wines and also the traditional - with a lot of english fizz on offer. What a wonderful way to spend a day!I left with a new appreciation of English wines, viticulture, and a greater understanding of local history. As well as a new friend. Thank you Helen.

Tanya is great at sharing stories and history. Her knowledge and her pleasant, professional manner made for a memorable day. The pace of a private tour is so much more comfortable than dealing with a tour group.

We wanted to learn about English (sparking) wine and were a little overwhelmed by all the wineries one could visit. Hence we decided call upon the help of a local to show us around. We could not have hopped for a better guide than Helen. She was the absolute perfect guide, who even took us to a coffee roaster before heading to the first tasting. It was the perfect day and wouldn't want to chance it one bit.

What a great way to see 3 vineyards in a day whilst staying in Rye, it's definitely the only way to do it. Helen was a lovely host and driver and had the right balance of being friendly and not obtrusive. My friend and I travelled in a very comfortable car and Helen had arranged for us to visit 3 contrasting vineyards in the East Sussex area. We had 2 tours & tastings and one tasting plus a quick trip to look at Bodiam Castle. Everything was very well organised from arranging pick up in Rye to arriving on time for the tours. A very stunning part of the UK too and we struck lucky with the very sunny weather. We would definitely book Helen again for another tour. Thank you.

Helen was the perfect host, who ensured that we had a really special day. This was a well organised experience at two lovely vineyards and a microbrewery. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings of some good quality wines and beers. The Carr Taylor tour was excellent, in all its rusticity, and the wines were delicious.

Helen was excellent! It was just my husband and I but it was more personal. We stopped at 3 vineyards and wasn’t rushed at all. As a bonus on the way back to our train she stopped at a local brewery. We had a great time and the places were beautiful. Helen is a wonderful person and we enjoyed our time with her as well. Highly recommend!

We had a great day on this tour as a group of 4. Helen was really helpful and thorough, very easy to contact and was flexible with pickup and drop off locations. We had an extra coffee stop and then went to 3 vineyards. Lovely to see the beautiful countryside and hear some of the history of the villages on our way around as well.
