It was our first time trying skiing and we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor - we were very lucky to have Phil all to ourselves 😆 As a couple learning later in life, Phil was very patient, encouraging, and knowledgable as well as being a very interesting and fun guy to talk to in between all the falling over! He knew exactly when we needed to just try on our own and when we needed a little extra help (or pep talk) that made it all a truly enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend Phil enough. We had booked the rental and pass as well, and everyone we spoke to from Hunters was incredibly friendly - they really made us feel welcome as beginners to the sport from start to finish. Our only regret is that we only had 2 days! Thank you for making our first ski experience an awesome one - we can’t wait for next winter to try again! 🎿🥰

We had Phil & Danny as our instructors who were both amazingly patient & extremely helpful in making g us feel at ease but also challenging us enough to get the most out of our trip. We had a fantastic experience with Twins Ski School in Bansko. Our instructor, Rado, provided private family lessons, including for our 5-year-old who was skiing for the first time. He was incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging throughout.After just two days, our daughter was already skiing confidently — which says everything about the quality of Rado’s teaching. The customer service from the school was also excellent: responsive, flexible, and very accommodating when our plans changed.I genuinely doubt there is a better ski instructor than Rado in Bansko. Highly recommended.

We booked private lessons for our family and hired equipment with Twins Ski. We were so happy with our instructor Radoslav. He was very patient with our 5 year old daughter and extremely accommodating and helpful. We felt like we were really looked after. The staff at the store took the time to find good fit for us. I would definitely recommend them!

Meeting musical lyrical artists who renovated an old house to create their own charming events venue, in a cool artists neighborhood, made me fall in love with Veliko Ternovo. I left feeling like a had made friends, and wanting to return. The presentation about Bulgarian Poets was interesting and thoughtful, and fun, important really. Tea and a Bulgarian cognac was an unexpected bonus. Meeting these young people and seeing their work, left a great impression, very impressive. They were very generous with their time.

Cool Ski are the best! The equipment was new and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for the kind and friendly staff who all spoke perfect English. I tried on a variety of boots and helmets until I found the perfect fit for ski that also matched my outfit - perfect for lovely photos! The shop opens early and closes at 6pm so there was plenty of time to return and collect the equipment that was clean and dry every day. The shop location, opposite the gondola, was just perfect!I had private lessons with Denis from Cool Ski. He is the kindest and most patient instructor - he is great fun with a fantastic sense of humour too! At the beginning of the week I was extremely nervous and did not even want to look down the slope but by the end of the week he had taught me how to be fully in control and and ski confidently. He took lots of videos and photos so I have evidence of progress and memoirs to treasure.The pricing was on their website and there were no hidden extras. Their communication is excellent with questions answered in the very timely manner.I really had the best week and will be back! Thank you Denis and Cool SkiIf you want first class friendly service, equipment and lessons at very good prices then look no further than Cool Ski in Bansko👌🥰🫶🤩

Excellent, encouraging, positive, professional
I had a private lesson with Victoria last minute on Saturday 22nd February as I’d lost all my confidence due to a bad fall on slope 5. She was incredible. Initially asked me my skill and then tested my turns as I said I’d skied before. We then went on one of the baby slopes and she said we could go on the blue. She watched me and told me the reason I wasn’t doing so well. I followed everything she said until I was feeling better. She then took me onto the same slope I’d crashed on to reduce my fear and after that we did some reds very slowly. Victoria pushed me but not so much that I was scared. She was incredibly encouraging and positive. I learned so much and improved so my in an hour and a half. My technique really improved with her to the point that after my lesson I (slowly) skied from the top of the mountain all the way back down to the gondola. Highly recommend this school whether you’re a beginner or like me need a refresher.

Super fun and knowledgeable snowboarding instructor.
If you are going to Bansko and you need a ski/ snowboard instructor. Try the Cool ski school. I was learning to snowboard. My instructor's name was DENNIS he was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He put my small group of six at ease. We had two hours with him. The lesson was really good, I learnt a lot in those two hours. Thanks Dennis! I will definitely be back.

One of the highlights of our trip!!!!
We cannot say enough great things about this experience – it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!!!We were so fortunate to have Baba Yana as our main grannie – she is so full of life and so much fun! She chatted away in Bulgarian to us the whole time like we could understand her, laughing at her own jokes. I am smiling and chuckling to myself thinking about her while writing this review.Her lessons on the food prep and us helping with the food prep was so great. And THE FOOD – the food was spectacular!!! THE BEST Bulgarian food we had our entire 11-night stay in Bulgaria! And SO MUCH food – no way we could eat it all! Oh, and the Rakia was good, too. ;)Then we were dressed up in traditional Bulgarian clothing, and the grannies played the accordion and sang to us.It was such a special and heart-warming experience – we didn’t want to leave, and wanted to take Baba Yana home with us!!

We were thinking for quite some time to attend the rose festival but we wanted all to be taken care of. From start to finish this activity was impeccable. We took some many included activities in Damascene and Kazanlak and we were the whole day occupied. Wonderful!
