Bordeaux Food Tour – A Full French Meal by Do Eat Better

A great food tour
What an enjoyable food tour. Our guide Antoine Guillaume was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. He gave us a tour of the various historical sites of Bordeaux with stops for delicious Bordeaux food and wine. The food were delicious and substantial. Antoine even gave us tips on where to eat and what other places to see in Bordeaux and surrounding area. Over all this is an amazing introduction to Bordeaux and the food of the Bordeaux area . This is a must for first time visitor to Bordeaux.

Thumbs Up!
We truly enjoyed our tour of Bordeaux. Our guide, Caz, provided us with a wealth of information about the history of the city. He also had a great sense of humor. We had some free time to tour the city on our own which was a nice feature. The bus transportation from the port to the city was comfortable and we enjoyed the French countryside. Lots of vineyards! We would recommend the tour if you are in the area.

Bordeaux Médoc Region Private Wine Lovers Tour with Chateau Visits & Tastings
Stephanie28970, Jun 2026
Engaging guide and tour
Nicolle was an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging tour guide of the Médoc region. She provided an itinerary and options based on initial input from me and what my husband and I were looking for in a tour, and then we were able to refine that. She was very easy to work with. The 3 wineries we visited were family-owned and somewhat smaller (which is what we wanted), and the hosts welcoming us at all 3 were lovely. Nicolle did a great job of ensuring that at each tour/tasting we learned or tried something different.

Fantastic Day in the Medoc with Nicolle

Fantastic Day in the Medoc with Nicolle
Nicolle provided us an incredible experience in the Medoc. It was a magical day that she provided for us. I selected her based on her profile and her experience with wine in addition to the fact that this was the area we wanted to tour. And I am so glad I did because she is excellent. This is an all day experience. We visited three chateaus. At the first two we had tours and tasted. At the third, we had lunch and a tasting. Our last stop was at a very small family producer where we toured the facility and tasted. All the wines we tasted were gorgeous and we ended up shipping home 4 cases. Nicolle is not only a lovely person who is very organized, she has an incredible wealth of knowledge of the region, of the history of the region, and of wines. Bill and I love wine but are mere amateurs. We learned so much from Nicolle and had a truly memorable day. This may cost a bit more than some other offers but I highly recommend her as your tour guide for the Medoc as the day is so much more extensive and provides a personal opportunity to learn and enjoy.

Private Tour in Saint-Emilion: Underground Monuments and Grands Crus Tasting
Shawn M, Apr 2026
Perfect day of wine tasting. Excellent walking tour of Bordeaux. Memorable.
Our touring consisted of an hour and half walking tour of Bordeaux followed the next day by full day wine tasting at three chateau’s.I debated about going with a less expensive, small group wine tasting but in the end opted for the private tour Alessia proposed. It was a big birthday for my wife and I wanted something special and personalized tours appealed to me. I chose wisely.Alessia was unavailable and directed us to her colleague, Guillaume. He is a Fantastic guide who grew up in the area. He is very knowledgeable of the city and wine production from farming to distribution. He is easy to converse with and find common ground. Wonderful sense of humor. The walking tour was excellent and something I would recommend to all Bordeaux visitors as the city is larger than we anticipated and has so much history. There are also many pockets of sites and gorgeous squares that are easy to miss. The following day we started our day of wine tasting with a visit to the monolithic church in St Emilion. Wow! So glad we did this. Most visitors are not aware this exists and fail to get in on the limited visiting. Our wine tasting consisted of visiting three chateaus in the St Emilion and Pomerol areas. Chateau’s Beauregard, Le Chatelet and Beau-Sejour Becot. All had their differences and one highlight was visiting the extensive caves of Chateau Becot.During the day we were able to visit the town of St Emilion for an hour. Great medieval town with light crowds. Would love to visit again and allocate 4 hours to wander and experience a couple of the 20+ wine tastings, bistro’s and wine caves. All in all a perfect day. Memorable and a top travel experience.

Bordeaux on your own
Travel was fine. Would have been nice to have been given a city map as we did not have internet access to use Google maps. Bus was nice with a bathroom since the travel Time was 2 hours each way. Much more affordable than the ship wanted for the same tour. Bordeaux was very walkable!

Thanks again to Roman and Alessia , Taste & Travel for a wonderful day!
We had the chance to discover the Grand Crus du Médoc route with Taste & Travel and it was an exceptional experience. The day was perfectly organized, with visits to magnificent castles and remarkable wine tastings. Our guide was passionate, very professional and knew how to share the history and secrets of the Médoc wines in an accessible and interesting way. The landscapes between vineyards and prestigious estates are superb, and the program allows you to really enjoy every step without rushing. A beautiful immersion in the world of great Bordeaux wines. We highly recommend this experience to all wine lovers and those who wish to discover the Médoc in the best conditions. Thanks again to Roman and Alessia , Taste & Travel for a wonderful day! Julien

Many thanks to the Taste & Travel team for a great day!
We booked a private tour in Saint-Émilion with Taste & Travel during our family stay, and the experience was absolutely perfect. The organization was smooth from start to finish, and our guide was passionate, very professional and above all very pleasant with the whole family. We discovered magnificent wineries, learned a lot about the history of Saint-Émilion and tasted excellent wines in a friendly atmosphere. The pace of the day was ideal, neither too busy nor too fast, which allowed us to fully enjoy the scenery and this beautiful village. An authentic and very well organized experience that we recommend without hesitation to all those who wish to discover the area differently. Many thanks to the Taste & Travel team for a great day! Two Days in Bordeaux
If you choose Malgosia, your search for an excellent tour guide is complete! We spent two full days with her in St. Emilion/Pomerol and the Medoc on a father/son trip. With detailed conversations weeks before the visit, Malgosia created a custom itinerary that exceeded our expectations. She has an extensive knowledge of the wine industry in general and the Bordeaux region specifically, and she enjoys sharing her knowledge enthusiastically in an easy to understand manner. Having lived in the US, Malgosia speaks excellent English. Malgosia takes care of all the details: -Transportation. Don’t even think about driving yourself if it’s your first visit to the area. -Scheduling tours and tastings at the best places. She can open doors that otherwise are not well-known or available. -Chosing local dining establishments for lunch.Again, book your tour with Malgosia, relax, and enjoy the best Bordeaux has to offer.

Highly recommended!
My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of taking a tour in the Bordeaux region, and we can't stop talking about how incredible it was! Amine was nothing short of exceptional—deeply knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and incredibly communicative. His passion for the region and genuine interest in making our experience special elevated the entire tour to a level we never expected.Every moment felt thoughtfully curated, with unique touches that made the experience truly one-of-a-kind. We learned so much, laughed often, and felt completely immersed in the beauty and richness of Bordeaux thanks to his expert guidance. If you're looking for a tour that goes beyond the ordinary and becomes something truly memorable, this is it. Highly recommended! We also appreciate Amines recommendation for La Bar a Vin. Thank you!
