Top Uluru Volunteer Tours

We had a really lovely and deep experience with our Anangu guide Sasha and her Mum Evelyn. They were very adaptable to our needs and the needs of my grandkids. They really made Uluru come alive for us and we gained a much deeper understanding of the Anangu understanding of the formation of Uluru and all the stories which go with it. It was really special to walk the Mala walk and the Kuniya walk and see the various markings from the stories pointed out to us. Sasha was also really encouraging of questions, so all those things we had been wondering, we had the opportunity to ask.

Marseille was a wonderful guide, bringing alive Uluru, its significance to the aboriginal people and culture. His knowledge was outstanding and his care and attention to its flora and fauna was really appreciated. It was challenging and slightly overwhelming to select a tour when visiting Uluru resort. I am so glad we decided to go with this private tour which only added to the ‘once in a lifetime experience’ that is Uluru.

The guide was very respectful and knowledgeable. Having local mob attend on the tour was invaluable. Having Sarah and William from the community tell us their own stories was magical and powerful. We are so honored to of been able to see this country and hear local Language spoken.

Miles did an excellent job and we were very happy to have Sarah with us to explain and tell us about the aboriginal stories .

Rick was just a great tour guide and Phillip was and exceptional story teller. Rick was so flexible (we traveled with a 9 month old) and made it such an easy time. We would probably not have visited the cultural center at Uluru if he had not suggested it we did not have a car. And it was a very informative experience Might have even spent more time there if we had been able to

Unique, amazing ! The sites are memorable. Our Guide was Rick. knowledgeable, cordial, a great Aussie, I highly recommend this tour.

Our driver Leroy was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He helped us understand our local guide, Elwyn. As the group was just my husband and myself we were able to take our time, ask questions and travel to less frequented sites.

Rick was an awesome guide - very patient and very knowledgeable about the area, fauna, and cultural history, etc…We also had a cultural Anangu guide join us, who was very good!Highly recommended!

My family and I (group of 7, including an older family member) had two days with Leroy, Phillip and Miles and I cannot speak more highly of their knowledge and respect for Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa. Phillip (our Aṉangu guide) was amazing in sharing his knowledge of Uluru. Leroy and Miles clearly have great passion for the area and the people. They also showed such care for our family of varying physical abilities and interests.I spent a lot of time looking at tour options in the area and feel we hit the jackpot. If you are looking for a tour with genuine passion, knowledge and good humour, this is it.

Great job great tour with Sasha and Phillip. Very educational and friendly. A very magical place. Their knowledge of the area and traditions were beyond expectations.

Experience was great. Felt like Leroy was an amazing guide. He is a force of nature in the area. He seems to know everyone and those that he doesn’t know he strikes up a conversation to get to know them. Great conversation and learned lots about the history and stories that you don’t hear from most sources. He made the experience memorable. My only regret was that I didn’t have enough funds in Australian dollars to give him a proper tip worthy of his service. Thanks Leroy.

I had such a special and memorable time with Iris and Evelyn, the Anangu guide, at Uluru. I felt so privileged to hear Evelyn speak and sing and dance sections of her story, and Iris' way of interpreting and guiding us in appropriate ways to respect Evelyn and her culture was beautiful. It was clear that there was a deep and genuine connection between them, and this made the stories that Evelyn told so much richer.

Iris was a fantastic tour guide. We found it very interesting to meet Evelyn and have her teach us some of her culture and stories. We appreciated Iris knowledge and sharing of language

We had a lovely time, hearing about the culture and language of the First Nations and guardians of this sacred place. Highly recommended

We worked with Australian Private Tours to organise a personalised experience for our family of 5. We were greeted by Iris our guide for the day at our hotel, and travelled out to Kata Tjuta, then experienced Uluru with a local Anangu (Aboriginal) guide in the afternoon. Iris our guide was so knowledgeable, passionate and authentic across the whole experience. She shared the history, stories and spoke to us in a way that engaged the whole family. Rita, our Anangu guide, joined us and told us some local stories while we were at Uluru and even allowed the kids to go into some small caves off the track to explain how young boys were taught how to hunt. We couldn’t have imagined our trip without the experience you provided us. We would highly recommend Australian Private Tours to anyone planning on coming to Uluru.

Superb! Terrifically well guided tour. Learned a ton about the area and the wonderful culture. Just the right amount of time and length
