Had a fantastic stay here and everything felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless, spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. Staff were genuinely friendly and always happy to help whenever we needed anything. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices, and the hotel itself was quiet at night.

We had an excellent experience with this bike tour company. The bikes were in great condition, the route was well planned, and the scenery was beautiful throughout the tour. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable, sharing interesting facts about the area while keeping a relaxed and enjoyable pace. The whole experience was well organized from start to finish, and it was a fantastic way to explore places we might not have discovered on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, active, and memorable experience.

The tour was individual designed for a group of 8 people, luggage transfer during the tour, hotels, restaurants, winery tour, full service package. We were 2 couples traveling throught Portugal following a Douro River Cruise. Andre met us at the ship in Porto and treated us to a fabulous day in the city. The following day we traveled to Lisbon, stopping in beautiful stops along the way. The next 3 days were spent in Lisbon, Sintra, and other areas around central Portugal. Andre addressed the mobility issues of one our couples with care and compassion - always adjusting our walking plans, etc...To say that our expectations were exceeded is the largest understatment imaginable. Andre is knowledgable, professional, funny, and so enjoyable to be with. By the end of the 5 days we felt like we had a new close friend!My husband and I have traveled extensively and had many private tour guides - Andre is exceptional!

I recently booked the “Secrets of Porto and Douro Valley with River Cruise” with Portugal Travel Center, and honestly, everything went really well.The whole trip was super smooth and well organized, so I could just relax and enjoy Porto and the Douro Valley without worrying about anything. The views, the experience, everything was just great.What I liked the most was how available they were — anytime I had a question, they were there to help, literally 24/7. That made a big difference.Overall, everything was perfect. Definitely a 5-star agency, and I’d 100% recommend them.

Self-Guided Adventure in a Quiet Month
In September when I did a search of cycle touring companies running a self-guided tour in southern Europe over Christmas and New Year, only Authentic Trails came up. Thank goodness it did! Starting in September, Teresa answered all my questions, booked us extra days in Lisboa and Porto, switched some hotels to suit my requests, booked transfers, and took care of all the details. We chose e-bikes because my 72-year-old fitness level and potentially stormy head winds could have left us on the road til after dark. From a special New Year's Eve dinner, seven comfortable hotels, a touristy fun boat ride in Aveiro, two welcome transfers en route, helpful route details, ferry times, restaurant suggestions, and the relief of being picked up after long flights from Vancouver, Canada, the trip was all arranged for us so we could just enjoy our adventure. When we needed a farmacia that was open on a New Year's Day, Teresa ably sent us a link and solved our little glitch. She was always speedily responsive and graciously helpful. The bikes worked ably without glitches, each hotel kindly helped us store them safely, and even helped remove the heavy batteries when we had trouble. I had expected to receive the route details earlier than the morning we set off. Many companies do that with bike fitting the night before. Some companies send the link to the route app days in advance. This would have helped us prep for the first day, and been primed to ask clarifying questions. We didn't know that not one but TWO transfers were actually built into our route if we wanted to avoid long boring mileage through sandy scrublands. Our lovely driver Rui told us that he was at our disposal for a shuttle, if needed, not just on the 89 km day we had been told about. Last, we needed the recommendation to bring phone holders with us: we wasted an hour in Gaia trying to buy one, to no avail. The Ride with GPS app is fabulous (we've used it with other companies). A phone holder is key to ease and safety of phone use. This lack of a holder came up in another review so it's not just me. Book a self-guided cycle tour with Authentic Trails and know that you are in good hands! And enjoy the wonderful people of Portugal!

Wonderful and Relaxing Trip
The whole trip was an unforgettable experience. Starting from the views on the train going to Pinhao, the boat ride and the beautiful hotel in the wonderful village of Favios, everything was storybook perfect. Next day was even better! The wine tastings, the authentic dinners and lunches and the warm hospitality of the people makes this trip worth the price and much more. The making of the Moscatel wine was very informative, as was the history of the bread making. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to relax and soak in the ambience of the Douro Valley and learn its history.

First, you have to find the point of contact at the station. (a gentleman in a black “Douro Best” T-shirt once this man is located... the journey begins, wait to be amazed, a “typical Portuguese” train ride to Pinhão where you will be met by your driver, he will take you to a Rabello for an hour-long cruise on the Douro (what a wonder). Then your driver will take you to your hotel up a hill where nothing seems to exist until the village of Favaios (another wonder) the hotel is 5 star style... a welcome cocktail will be offered and a gourmet dinner in the evening, animated by Mr. George (ultra friendly). After a night in one of the most comfortable hotels I had the pleasure of visiting, a wood guide will take you around Favaios, its splendor, the beautiful grape fields... then a visit to a local mescatel Co-op (they will explain) followed by a tasting, visit the warehouse with the oak barrels... then a gourmet dinner in a local Quinta overlooking the vineyards... then back to port by car (Mercedes van air conditioned). Although we suffered from a lack of specific information at first, we tamed the let go and let ourselves be taken care of... we did not regret it in any way... did ABSOLUTELY!. It's all well worth it

I had a delightful time on this tour. Each day a different Guide/Driver would collect my cousin and I from our hotel lobby. They were always on time. They were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Their English was very good and we had no problems communicating. I highly recommend The Portugese Travel Centre and in particular Rui who planned our trip for us.

My family and I had an amazing time in Portugal! We travelled for Christmas and New Year and Carlos made the trip unforgettable. He was such a great host and was so knowledgable; we were blessed to have a great travel companion. Carlos did such a phenomenal job with the country that we are seriously considering retiring to Portugal! We will definitely use Carlos and Andre when we inevitably visit again. If you're on the fence about booking with Nomadinspitation, like they say at Nike, "Just Do It!"

I must recommend the Port wine cellars with the premium wine tasting and, as well, the Francesinha dish. Visit Porto as soon as you can is now one of my favourites city in all Europe.

Panoramic location, family atmosphere , cozy, you feel at home, especially when there is a fireplace on. The restaurant 7 Camini is a small reservoir of authentic flavors of the local culinary tradition, starting with oil, warm and fragrant bread, sincere wine. Tasty appetizers, a dozen samples ..... beans, chicory, bruschetta, tripe, coratella (not always), omelette, ham, loin, mozzarella and other delicacies. Worth mentioning fettuccine as you like, with artichokes... super, gnocchi....... pork chops, cut, Florentine, loin, escalopes , preferably with a side dish of artichokes, with equally tasty variations. Like your mother cooked. That is the greatest merit. It's trust well placed.
