This was a fantastic cooking course. Lorena is extremely welcoming and her cooking space is lovely and well set up. Lorena paced instructions really well and took the time to explain ingredients, techniques and tips. It was also great to walk through the market and visit local specialty stores. The recipes were easy to follow and the end results were delicious. Highly recommend!

We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who comes to CDMX!! Aremi and Itzel were wonderful hosts, so warm and generous and fun to spend time with for the afternoon! The food was very delicious and they were very inclusive of different food tastes and needs. We would do it again!

From the moment Margarita welcomed my wife and me into her beautiful home, we felt less like customers attending a class and more like honored guests visiting an old friend.Margarita’s warmth, generosity, and passion for Mexican cuisine made the entire experience incredibly special. Rather than simply watching her cook, we worked alongside her, learning the techniques, ingredients, and traditions behind each authentic dish. Everything we prepared was absolutely delicious, and sharing the finished meal together—accompanied by wonderful wine and lively conversation—made the afternoon feel intimate, personal, and completely unforgettable.What sets this experience apart is Margarita herself. She is gracious, knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely interested in the people she welcomes into her home. She created an atmosphere where we could relax, laugh, learn, and connect with Mexican culture in a way that no restaurant or conventional cooking class could possibly replicate.My wife and I left with full stomachs, wonderful memories, and a much deeper appreciation for the food and hospitality of Mexico. Awesome experience, Jose was amazing! Go hungry, there’s no shortage of food, you’ll leave stuffed! Jose takes the time to personalize the meal to each person’s preferences and was held in a very cool century-old apartment building!Weird booking glitch, nothing to do with Jose. Kept getting notifications from Cool Destinations that booking had been cancelled while at the same time receiving reminders from Cool Destinations when and where to meet. We showed up anyway hoping Cool Destinations was wrong and glad we did!

We met at a market, which was super easy to find. Then Veronica give me a little tour and show me how to pick the best produce. A short walk later we were at her house making the most delicious salsas and tortillas I have ever had.Vero was the best host I could’ve asked for. We talked about food. We talked about life. Her recipes were so tasty. She was super knowledgeable about everything. We need more experiences like this in the world.. I would definitely take this class again and again.

We got quite lucky with booking this experience during the quiet day of the week, and we essentially had a private salsa making lesson with Veronica.This tour is great if you like learning the fundamentals of salsa making. It was an educational experience. From the market visit, to our walk to the kitchen -- we felt immersed in a small part of Mexican culinary culture. We highly recommend this experience for all levels of home cooking experience, and we cannot wait to apply what we learned when we get back home to Australia.

We met Ho and went to the market with him and he did an amazing job not just showing us the market, giving us history of some of the foods and their connection to Mexico. He was very helpful with other vendors when we wanted to purchase certain items. Back at the house we met Valeria and she was equally as amazing. Both of them were very engaging. The kitchen was big enough for everybody not to be bumping into one another, the music was great and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this tour to anybody traveling to Mexico City. In addition it wasn’t too long of a tour so we were still able to do other things during the day. Thank you so much.
