We first did Dan’s tour of Cheddar and Wells a few years ago, and had such a lovely experience that when we came back to the area, we knew we wanted to book him again. This time, we asked Dan to take us from Bristol to the Birds of Prey Project, and once again, he made the whole day feel really special.Dan is always on time, super friendly, easy-going and genuinely lovely to spend time with. He also has an incredible amount of knowledge about the area and seems to know everyone everywhere we go! One of the things we love most about his tours is that it never feels like you’re simply being driven from one place to another. He’ll make little surprise stops along the way, point out things you would never notice yourself, and introduce you to people he knows. It makes the whole experience feel personal and relaxed, rather than like a standard organised tour.Dan also arranged lunch for us at the farm shop on site, which was absolutely wonderful. There was so much lovely local produce to look around, and the food was fantastic. He was also really thoughtful about our dietary requirements and made sure we had options that worked for everyone, which we really appreciated.And then there was the owl flying! It had been my mum’s dream to do this, so seeing how happy she was when it actually happened made the experience even more special. We got to meet Kofi, Ghost and Eddie, and each one was absolutely gorgeous. The whole experience at the Birds of Prey Project was fantastic, the team were wonderful, everything was organised so smoothly, and having a private flying experience was absolutely worth it.What I really appreciate about Dan is that he doesn’t just take you somewhere and show you around, he genuinely cares about making sure you have a great day and that you get to experience the best of the places you visit. We had such a wonderful time, and it was lovely to have Dan showing us around again after a few years.We wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again and would recommend him to anyone visiting the area. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Dan is the best!

really amazing tour. guide was super informative and friendly. he did lots of accents which were fun to listen to since we were in the car a while and had some good music choices. admission fees for cathedral or abbey not included but plenty of time to get if you want them. lots of time in salisbury to see cathedral, streets, and the national trust building if you want. jurassic coast we had lots of time! guide recommended not walking down to beach at durdle door due to length of time but if you are reasonably active you can make it down and back before meeting time. wish were were in glastonbury slightly earlier than we were since a lot of the shops were closed by the time we got there but really it was cool to look at what was open and available. guide was super friendly and dropped off some of my tour group early if they requested. he had some great information as we drove and also for things to do in bath.bus was a little uncomfortable with the seats being really hard and kinda tight but really not a big deal or bother.highly recommend going on this tour!

We did the Stonehenge Unearthed Private, Half Day Tour and were picked up and dropped off at out hotel. Max our tour guide was brilliant! Brian & Michelle

Roland was waiting with his van right outside the cruise ship. He is a history teacher! What a perfect tour guide! He taught us so much about the English countryside and Stonehenge. We had an awesome time hearing his stories and historical facts. I highly recommend using In and Beyond Bath for your tour of the English countryside.

We had such a great experience on this tour! We loved seeing the beautiful countryside, Daniel is so knowledgable about the cathedral in Wells (he is so knowledgable about every part of the tour for that matter!) - we gleaned so much more than we ever would have going on our own. We went on a Wednesday and were able to go to the market in Wells as well. Our lunch was lovely, we enjoyed our tour of the cheese factory, and we were able to hike up to the viewpoint in the gorge which was so picturesque. He has put together this day so well and you get a feel for a part of England that would be so hard to do on your own or with public transportation! We had our 3-year old with us and Daniel was so engaging and patient with him as well. Would highly recommend this tour and if we find ourselves in the area again, we will be booking another tour!

The points which we were taken to both view and learn about the City were amazing. Dan was fantastic, not only knowledgeable but personable with personalized information. The Bird flying experience was also something no one in our family would ever forget. Would highly recommend the entire experience.

We had an amazing day with Simon Whittaker as our guide. We not only saw Stonehenge, but the West Kennett Long Borrow, Silbury Hill, Avebury Stone Circles and Lacock village! And 2 chalk White Horses. Simon was so informative and amusing. A complete fount of information! The van was comfortable for our group of seven. Plenty of stops for food and "relief". Just a great day!

So pleased with this tour! Daniel picked us up first to start the morning with a pretty country hike through Cheddar Gorge. We were humbled by the presence of serene wild goats and delicate wildflowers. Daniel was excellent at spotting and sharing insights about the flora and fauna we encountered. He made sure we were safe and comfortable every step of the way, and it really enhanced our experience to have such keen eyes on our side! From there, Daniel connected us to a bespoke cheddar cheese tour where we learned about the process of cheddar cheese. We were thrilled to take part and contribute to the community in this way, testing and sampling the cheese and acquiring knowledge about this industry and the skilled cheesemakers employed there. Daniel went the extra mile to help organize this tour-within-a-tour, and acted as a soundboard for all my thoughts and worries in the planning stages of our trip and beyond. Daniel's professionalism and those of the team at the Cheddar Cheese Company helped make a special birthday a precious delight and made us feel so treasured. I have never been so impressed by the friendly collaboration and effort, and that kindness has now become the standard of excellence for all our future trips. We then finished our tour with a visit to Wells Cathedral. It's hard to comprehend Wells Cathedral from just one take, but it's not just for the proud or the wealthy. Importantly, it doesn't rise higher than the welcome it continues to maintain, so it continues to shine with light-filled interiors and sinuous archways many years after its creation. Daniel was wonderful at pointing out its specific twinkling treasures, such as the Jesse stained glass window, and the characterful clock that still captivates. He led us to other areas beyond the Cathedral that added completeness and made the perfect capstone to our trip, which was drawing to a close. Thank you Daniel! If you want the exquisite, take this tour.

My family have been to Bath before so I thought we'd switch it up and use Cluecation this time around and we were NOT disappointed! The scavenger hunt was SO much fun, we explored places I didn't even know existed. The app was simple to use and had a lot of cool elements like quizzes, facts and prizes to win. The adults enjoyed it as much as the kids. Would highly recommend :)

We really enjoyed travelling with this App. We discovered amazing places across Somerset that we wouldn't have found without it. The Scavenger Hunt is really good fun, and we'd recommend it for anyone wanting to get off the beaten path a little.

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Tom, had SOOO much knowledge of history and the area, and was so fun to listen to. We learned so much along the way, and it helped pass the time on the drive so well. The weather wasn't perfect, but he adjusted the tour around that to help provide options where we could stay a bit dryer if we wished. Would happily go on this experience again! Alex and Iggy made this tour such a blast with their humor and knowledge. As an historian myself, I was super impressed with how in-depth the facts were (I learned so much!) and how they truly knew a lot about everything and anything, really. Along the way to each location, they provided us with a balance of great music and stories to make the drive enjoyable. Each stop was lovely— easily navigable, lots to see, and plenty of food/drink choices. This tour shows you such a beautiful side of England and I highly encourage using this company to view it!
