Great day in the countryside
We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in the English countryside. Ample time was provided at each stop to explore the site, but if you lunch in Avebury keep it short as the stones are spread out over a large area. Our guide/driver, Matt, was very entertaining and informative. Enjoyed his jokes, puns, and stories. Nice that he gave us a heads-up when there was something interesting to see around the next curve. He clearly had great knowledge of the history and current happenings in the region. Matt also has a great sound track to fill in between the talking!

Very easy booking and great communication from tour company. The bus picked us up in front of our hotel (The Abbey Hotel) and the ride to Stonehenge was smooth and quick. The bus driver pointed out many sites along the way and we had two hours at Stonehenge which was plenty of time. Every tour I have booked through Cool Destinations has always worked out well.

Stonehenge and more - loved every minute!
Seb gave us in-depth historical information on every place we went on our tour. He had knowledge I would not have expected (why there are not many trees in the area), and was honest the few times he did not have an answer. We learned much more about Stonehenge than we expected, and I so appreciated Seb’s enthusiasm for the history of the area. Loved walking around the Avebury Circle; with Seb’s help, we were able to understand what it would have looked like thousands of years ago. Seb pointed out many other unique views on our trip: a chalk horse, Old Sarum, and even where Sting lives! He took us to a great farm restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Our last stop was the Salisbury Cathedral. Seb was not able to accompany us into the church, but he had already given us plenty of information about its history. We wanted to do an individual tour so that we could learn more about all these sites, and Seb truly delivered! I’d highly recommend his tours.

I went on the Rock & Roll tour in Bath yesterday, and honestly, I had the most fabulous time. From the moment I met my guide, John, he was completely engaging. He didn’t just show us around Bath — he took us on a journey through music, stories, history and his own incredible experiences. We heard fascinating stories about Muse, Glastonbury, Van Morrison, Tears for Fears, The Beatles and so much more. There were moments that left me thinking, “Wait… I need to look that up when I get home!” — including a particular Beatles photograph that is now firmly on my research list! But what really made the experience special was John’s passion for music. Hearing about his own musical journey, his connection with Tears for Fears, his time in The Graduate, and being able to ask him questions along the way made this feel so much more than a walking tour. I would recommend this to anyone who loves music. You don’t need to be a superfan of any particular artist. If you love discovering stories, celebrating music, having real conversations and experiencing a city in a more unique and memorable way, this is absolutely for you. A real gem of a tour!
We would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you’re new to Bath. Not only is it great for beer lovers, but it’s also a brilliant introduction to the city and its surrounding streets. My wife and I met up with Gez on Sunday afternoon, and he greeted us straight away with the first beer of the day! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer our endless questions (sorry, Gez!). We visited several great spots and got lucky finding tables at each one. Gez effortlessly paired local historic insight with genuine, first-hand brewing expertise. He even threw in some fun multiple-choice quiz questions along the way, though my guessing left a lot to be desired! The walking pace was very relaxed, with plenty of breaks and stops. Gez even brought along a cooler bag of beers to sample while sharing stories about the spots we were standing in. The time flew by, and we enjoyed every minute. A real gem of a tour. We will definitely book again next time we’re in the area. Thanks, Gez!

As Belgians and Luxembourgers, we realized that we know our British neighbors' history very, very poorly! Thanks to you, we discovered a rich part of it, all the more so because we understood your English perfectly well, perhaps because, being of Italian origin, you make it a point to speak it calmly and without an accent that is too pronounced like the local guides. We hope that we will be able to benefit from your extensive knowledge again during our return to Southampton in September 2027!

We had such a lovely experience with Dan during our photo shoot in Bath! I really wanted to visit some of the Bridgerton filming locations, and Dan was incredibly accommodating and adapted the shoot to exactly what I had in mind. He is such a nice, friendly and fun person, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. He also did a fantastic job with the photos and captured some really beautiful memories of our time in Bath. We absolutely loved the experience and the final photos. I would definitely recommend Dan if you want a fun, professional and personalised photo shoot in Bath!
