Inverness Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Tour was great! Beautiful weather, nice boat, and very informative. Only downside was the people next to us who were talking loudly which made it hard to hear. Not the tour company’s fault at all. Definitely would recommend and do this again. Great gift shop also. Staff was extremely friendly

An excellent way to learn more about the area, see the beautiful lake and land around the lake, and enjoy being in Scotland! Absolutely recommend - especially if you are short on time.

Very entertaining host- saw a lot of Skye- enjoyed breaks, missed fairy falls but skillfully navigated car obstacles

This was an adventure beyond anything I had expected! From hiking the side of a mountain to the fairy pools, to splashing in a river that (supposedly) gives you beauty, I truly could not have wished for a better journey through the highlands. One thing I loved was the bus was smaller, so a smaller tour group felt more personalized. Emily is an absolutely iconic tour guide. Her stories (for which she has the most soothing voice!), her kindness, and especially her amazing music taste made everything so fun and atmospheric. If I come back to Inverness for another tour, I need to get one with her!

Had a fantastic tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle! Our bus drive Atis was an absolute blast, his narration was a highlight of the tour. Provided more insight about the Inverness area than Google ever could 😊 And now I know what the real ‘Rolling Stones’ are however you’ll have to go with Atis to find out for yourself,,,,

What a WOW experience, superb from start to finish. Great boat, great friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a jaw droppingly majestic setting. Couldn’t possibly recommend this higher, get it booked 💙

Great trip! Our bus driver was very friendly and informative . Our boat trip on the Lochness was beautiful , the commentator was very funny, we did not find Nessie, but maybe next time .., also loved the castle

Rafal was a wonderful guide. Lots of interesting stories and information. He was kind and patient with us. Customizing the tour to our needs. The car is immaculate. He thought of everything. He had extra ponchos, umbrellas and water and snacks. Bonus he also takes great group photos :) Thanks!

Had a great ride with Donald. He was friendly, professional and asked how we were doing along the journey (ensuring we continued to feel good/safe on the bikes). He had lots of knowledge/history to share about the various places we stopped. Although it did mist and rain much of the time, the ebikes felt sturdy. Be sure to have waterproof rain jacket (and pants/leggings you don’t mind getting splattered with mud from all the puddles which sometimes cannot be avoided). Some of us also had gloves that helped keep us warm/dry). I highly recommend this ebike adventure with Donald.

Tim our tour guide was fantastic! He had great insight to the area we visited and he gave us plenty of time to walk around the different sites. Tim was very personable and professional.

This was a great tour and our guide, Tony, was the best. It was a private tour, just 3 of us, so he was able to make the tour personal. He showed us places that the big buses can't go. He treated us to Scottish treats, even a homemade one made by his mother! We all said this was our favorite tour because of Tony! Now we are hoping to go back someday and will definitely use Tony to show us other parts of beautiful Scotland!

Very personable and very knowledgeable guide. Tony can explain historical facts and details you usually don’t get.
