Punta Sam Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

It was as expected though the weather was quite choppy & I’m not huge on swimming so skipped that. They did provide drinks and snacks, plenty of time on island, great views, so crowded on island though since it’s touristy.

We went to Chichén Itzá with Juam, Kevin, and Carlos! It was one of the coolest experiences my husband and I have been on! Completely worth the money! From the educational and engaging tour to the fresh water swim to one of the 7 wonders of the world. There is not a single thing we could think of to improve our time! Kevin and Juam we extremely engaging and provided a lot of information we did not previously know!

Pastor and Jorge were fabulous. We went to 3 different locations Chichen Itza, Cenote & Valladolid. The Mayan lands were absolutely breathtaking and having Pastor share his history made the experience even better. The cost was reasonable for everything you got. This is a long day however it is worth the time. September was the perfect time to go because the weather was great and wasn't crowded. ❤️

Awesome experience, guided tour of Chichen itza was d standout feature, the bus was v.comfortable, pickup was right on time and the Chichikan cenote was picturesque and refreshing. One small recommendation: it would be best if the tour started with chichen itza, then valladoid and then Cenote instead of the reverse

We had an amazing day with Miguel, Manuel, and Frank. We opted for the 5am start and that was the best decision! We arrived at Chichen Iza before the crowds, and before the midday sun! The bus ride was great, and the guides, Manuel and Frank, were funny, interesting and very knowledgable. The whole day was timed well – they were quite stern about sticking to times. I was a bit stressed about this beforehand (getting my kids to listen etc!) but actually it was necessary to make sure the day ran smoothly and we got enough time at each stop. It was absolutely fine in the end and we enjoyed the three stops: Chichen Iza, the Chichikan cenote (very beautiful to look at, though there were lots of fish, which freaked some of my kids out – though the others loved it!), and the small town Valladolid. Absolutely recommend!!!

Ana Rosaldo from Nexus tours at Riu Latino booked our trip to Isla Mujeres for us. The pickup was on time and smooth. The trip itself was fantastic. The beach was amazing. The crew from Cancun Adventures was great as well. Ana was true to her words. She was not pushy. She was friendly and very accommodating. My daughter and I had a great time!

A wonderful time, even in the humidity! Gato was very knowledgeable and it was fun to learn from him. The admission fee was fair for a half-day tour. The atmosphere was great; we had several other travelers from our country to talk to! The crowd was kind of large. We had to keep sidestepping other tour groups and it was hard to take pictures. To finalize, Gato was great and we had an awesome time!

Ana was amazing she was full of energy and made this experience so much better than expected she is so knowledgeable!

Angel was the best guide ever! If your scared to do something he will be right by your side to make sure you get the full experience. This being my family’s first vacation I wanted to make sure they were comfortable with everything and this excursion was a little out their comfort level but with Angel he made it very smooth sailing so they could enjoy themselves

It was a very nice tour. Out guide, Frank, had so much knowledge about the Maya as he even is a Maya himself. He explained everything about rituals, sacrifices, games and the gods. At every place there was enough greeting planned after a quick tour by Frank. I can definitely recommend him and the driver José, as the ride was very smooth. The only thing I have to admit is, that in the end it was almost 200€ per person for us, which was definitely too expensive in our opinion. Nevertheless was the tour and each spot wonderful to look at!

Great choice to experience multiple activities. We got to experience horseback riding, cenote, zip line and ATV. I really enjoyed it plus the shots!!

This trip really was wonderful! Getting to see the culture of Mexico, the Mayan way of living and the UNESCO Chichen Itza was really a great opportunity. Cannot forget the tequila tasting session! Myself and my partner had a brilliant day out, being able to live new experiences that we would not get elsewhere!All of this could not have been possible without our driver and guides along the way. Kevin and Juam took us through the culture and heritage throughout the day - helping us to understand the importance of these artefacts and being so welcoming and interactive along the way. We did the cenote and lagoon tour on our honeymoon. It was around $180.00 for two of us. They do try to get you with a $40 per person photo fee. You can take photos at the lagoon but not the cenote. It was very enjoyable. Pickup was right on time and explained very thoroughly in the email. It was a smooth process. The van was comfortable and spacious. Fernando was sweet and a great driver. We picked up other passengers along the way. There was around 14 of us I believe. We ended up getting to Yal Ku. JJ was a wonderful tour guide explaining natural history and explaining the process of how to snorkel. He helped us spot a sting ray, eel, and many other creatures. We then went to the cenote, which was gorgeous. JJ made sure to explain everything and added humor throughout. It was overall a great experience. Recommend.

The experience on this trip was amazing our tour guide was Ricardo and driver, Carlos. We have heard a lot about visiting Chichén Itza. It’s one of the 7 wonders of the world. I definitely don’t think you should do it on your own, and you definitely need to be with the right tour guide. Ricardo is very friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. He went over the history of the Mayas and the ruins and explained it a way that felt like you were there. His English is great also. By the end of the trip it felt bittersweet because it felt like we really made a connection and now we had to go. I would 110% recommend booking with Cancun Adventures and requesting for Ricardo and Carlos as your guides.

We had a blast on this excusion! So much fun riding the 4 wheelers and the airboats were a new activity for us! The staff was helpful and made our day a ton of fun! We had a great ride on the ATVs and on the airboats, we saw Pink Flamingoes and stopped at a stunning beach area - highly recommend!!!!! Also the photos offered were great and reasonable!!!!!!!
