Edinburgh Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This walking tour allowed us to have a glimpse of some of the important events in Scotland and a background about the Royal Mile and surrounding buildings. Our tour guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable. He’s quite funny and he made the whole experience enjoyable. The castle was magnificent and the view was worthwhile! Cheers from Paul and family (Canada).

Ben was great! Informative, engaging, and funny. Wonderful way to learn more about Edinburgh.

Excellent tour led by the very knowledgeable and enthusiastic Rocky! There was a lot of informative but Rocky kept it light and fun. The tastings at the end were great, and the views from the top amazing. I would thoroughly recommend

A wonderful tour, planned to perfection. There was plenty of time at every stop, and the whole journey didn't feel long or tiring, thanks to our amazing guide Phil. He was just fantastic, everything he said was interesting and entertaining. He was perfectly prepared and chose music that matched the scenery beautifully. Thank you Phil, for such a wonderful day. I would happily go on another tour if you were my guide.

Gavin was the best guide extremely engaging and informative. Loved our experience would highly recommend Gavin.

Gavin was great with lots of interesting stories

Informative tour led by a fantastic guide who clearly communicated the passion the business has for its work.

Our attendant Ali was exceptional…best whiskey experience I’ve ever had…Ali, is why I will return and tell others!

Great workshop! Had great picking out my bat and tartan lid to create my own handbag. The workshop leaders were quite helpful to ensure the crews for the bag were in place tightly.Received so many compliments on my handbag when sporting it.. make sure to tighten your screws regularly to be sure nothing comes loose as they suggested!

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide, Leon. Communication from GetYourGuide was very clear about departure time and expectations on where to meet ect.It is a long time on a bus as the tour does take over 12hours, but there are some wonderful spots along the way. We were on a very new bus that had usb and usb-c ports in the seats so take a charger. Leon had an excellent spotify playlist and was great in sharing his knowledge. For someone who wants to see a lot of the highlands in a day, this was great.

Alex was fun and informative worth while

This was a really fun day. We saw the kelpies horses and spent a great afternoon at the Stirling Castle. I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful day, despite the rain. The Kelpies were beautiful and we got to see some Hairy coos (the highlight for me). Loch Lomond was beautiful, even in the rain. Stirling Castle was a bit tricky with all the rain, but amazing all the same. Our guide. Gregor, was very interesting and informative. Our driver, Jamie, got us everywhere we needed to go safely with good humour. Highly recommend this tour.

Alisdair gave us a wonderful tour of Edinburgh castle. He is self employed and is brilliant at what he does. Super well organised, contacts you with precise details of time and place to join him. He has an incredible knowledge of the castle and it's history, which he tells clearly and with a great sense of humour, and he looks out for everyone on his tour. I could not recommend him more highly. Book this tour with Alisdair and you will not be disappointed. You get so much more out of your visit to the castle than you will wandering around aimlessly by yourself. We travelled from Wales to tour Scotland and Alisdair's tour was definitely a key highlight of our three weeks in Scotland. Thank you Alisdair, you were brilliant!! Highly recommended!

Harry gave us a very interesting and informative tour of the bunker. A great experience
