Chattanooga Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

My husband and I toured the cavern with Terrance as our guide. The caves themselves are spectacular, but Terrance was the highlight. He is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, kind and thoughtful. He genuinely loves his job, and it shows in his presentation. He made certain every one on our group got to see every formation and answered every question thoroughly. He was particularly kind to the children in the group, for which he earns bonus points from me. He also added the details that he personally found fascinating for each formation. The caverns are lovely, active and well worth seeing. The only thing I can think of that would make it better would be a zip line where the gondola/chair lift once was. If you have a couple hours to spare, this is a great way to spend them.

It was an amazing experience at a crystal cave! Breathtaking ! The tour leader Terence did a good job!👍🏻

Seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. The rafting was so much fun, our guide John Hall is what really made the experience top notch. Incredible control of the raft, super fun dude, made us feel really safe while also giving us a crazy wild ride. 10000% will be rafting again with him.

Fun day. The trolley gives an overview of the area and the train gives you a step back in time.

It was a wonderful experience, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area going all the way back to the Native tribes who lived here before Chattanooga was Chattanooga. I would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.

Felt very safe, tour guides were knowledgeable and very friendly! Highly recommend going during a full moon because it made for a gorgeous view of the moon rising over the mountains.

Outstanding presentation throughout.

We did the white water rafting 9-26-2026 and it was amazing. While most of us were terrified we had a guide that took care of us. Highly recommend doing this. Ask for Caveman for your guide he took very good care of us and is very knowledgeable. This was experience we will never forget.

My husband and I LOVED the Cocktails and Conversations class. The drinks themselves were creative and delicious. But Bri made the whole experience excellent. She is funny, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and kind. I’d hang out with her any day, and that’s what she made the class feel like: a group of friends hanging out and making some really great drinks in the side. The concept is unique. The setting (a train car at the Choo Choo) makes it even more so. Then you get Bri on top of all that? Pure excellence. Go do the class. You’ll go back to do it again, I promise you. We are!

Jason was very engaging and entertaining. We enjoyed the history as well as the ghost stories. Also appreciated the opportunity to sit down along the way. Thanks from Andrew, John and Hannah

The directions were very clear and the stories and history were interesting and well done. We thought it was great.

Super cool experience! Good info about the area, and the guides were awesome. It was my husband and I in a tandem kayak, and our daughter (9) and son (23) also in a tandem. It was awesome for all ages. Loved this experience

My 14-year-old son and I had an absolute blast! Jake was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, experienced, and focused on keeping everyone safe while making the trip fun. The entire team was friendly and professional. We had an excellent experience and would 100% recommend them!

Critter and Grease Monkey did an amazing job! Insightful history even being from the area and laughing hysterically. Honestly worth the experience. I've heard the Christmas light tour is awesome and I plan on going on that one.

We didn’t have any trouble finding the place however, others did regardless of clear instructions to go to the back of the building. Don’t know how it can be better on that front (no pun intended). Great experience, very informative and our tour guide was enthusiastic and entertaining!

It was a fun experience. Tour guide was awesome and very friendly and funny. We will definitely be doing that again.
