You are not actually at the vineyard. The tour is of their original facility that processes the wine. It truly is fascinating! You will also see the largest wooden barrel I’ve ever seen. No longer used, it held 100,000Litres. The wines and pairings are superb! Definitely worth a visit!

This venue has beautiful views, a charming host, delicious food and well selected wine pairings. Besides being a winery, they also grow olives, make their own olive oil and provide farm to table vegetables. The experience is never rushed, five courses, and a family feel of hosting. It is honestly so much for the price and without a single fault. I definitely recommend.

This beautifully incredible winery is high in the mountains, has breathtaking views, an impressive way of making wine and a robust flavor profile for many of their wines. When I first booked this experience, I didn't know what to expect. I haven't seen wine being made before and wasn't aware that Castorani wines was using cement tanks for making wines, when so often you hear about big metal tanks or barrels much like in a brewery. Their methods are so unique and it comes out in their flavorful wines. We had such a great host and very knowledgeable about the history, the process, what makes it different. We were not a big group at all, but I was welcome with open arms and treated just like family. While the winery was far from my hotel, I did spend quite a bit getting to the winery, but because the winemaker and I were going to same place, he offered me a ride for which I was so grateful for. Learning about the life of a winemaker makes me realize that with the changing times we may be in, or may feel we are in, things like wine are not to be treated like vices, but more like tradition and community and what to brings people together. Wine has been a part of society for over 2 millennia and the importance of community, environment, people seen through this winery made me buy a lot of wine to share the name and express the importance of Castorani wine.

Excellent wine, the winemakers are available and friendly

Marino and his family were simply the best hosts for our pasta making class. We learned so much and we felt so welcomed. The instructions were easy to follow and everyone was so nice. The family farm is quite a sight to see and we enjoyed seeing all of the gardening, animals, and being shown around. We very much appreciated the option for a flour that wasn't near nuts for an allergy we had in the group and that they could accommodate the protein allergies in the group.Meeting his nonna and mom were top highlights. We learned about olive oil, the regional dishes there like the dish we made and arrosticini. This experience is well worth the money paid. This was hands down the favorite experience we had while in Italy and the group voted. We hope we can introduce new friends to this experience next year. This pasta making class was everything I wanted and more.

Pleasant and interesting experience!! Aperitif in the cool of the olive trees, with high-quality local products. Recommended if you want to spend an evening different from the usual!!

It was a great experience! We were a group of 6 who lived in Silvi for a week and wanted an experience that would really give us that intimate, italian crafmanship- vibe, and this tour really gave us that experience! In the beginning it was a bit difficult to find the correct location since google maps puts the location too far away from the entrance, but our Italian taxi chauffour could help us find the right place after I came in contact with the tourguide.Then after we arrived the guide, who is also the ower of the winery ttok us to the testing. Unfortunately we didnt get a tour of the wineyard as it wasnt in bloom just yet (we were ther in the beginning of june). However we added the tasting menu to the drinks and it really elevated the experience! Everyone love testing the wines and listening to the guide explain how they make the wines and whats interesting and different about them. We all had a great time and bought some bottles to bring us home!Since our visit was of high-tourist-season it was also only us (6) during the testing, which felt really personal and exclusive :)Would really recomment this wine tasting in abruzzo!

Upon our arrival, Stefania greeted us with the warmest welcome. She took care in explaining not only how a dish was made, but the significance, flavor profiles, and even some of chemical reactions resulting in specific tastes. Her culinary expertise and sincere care for both people and food shined. With Stefania’s support and clear instructions, we prepared fried pizza, eggplant Parmesan, gnocchis, and tiramisu — you will not leave with an empty stomach! Everything was well-organized and thoughtfully planned, making the experience that much more fun. Her husband, Marcello, joined us for dinner, his wine expertise complementing our food. There was never a dull moment, as we walked in as strangers but left as friends. Your visit to Pescara will not feel complete without an exquisite cooling experience and class with Stefania!

We visited in mid-November, when the season is winding down and everything is peaceful. The tour was fantastic — we were welcomed warmly, and the whole story was truly captivating, from the winemaking process to the museum downstairs. We tasted five excellent wines paired with local snacks. Couldn’t recommend it more — we’d happily come back!

Our family of four spent 6 days with Marino Cardelli of "Experience Bella Vita". It was our first visit to Italy and we went to Sulmona, the town where my husband's grandparents had lived. We choose Marino because he offered personalized tours as well as genealogy research. It was an amazing trip that included seeing the house where my husband's grandmother was born, viewing their birth registrations from 1890, and meeting distant relatives. Marino did the genealogy research and then by sharing his knowledge and love of Abruzzo, he helped our understanding of the history and culture of this region. We went truffle hunting, did olive oil tasting, and visited nearby medieval towns, as well as visiting the Gran Sasso national park and the trabocchi coast. We were able to do and see things that would not have been possible for us without Marino's deep knowledge of the area. Marino is an excellent communicator. He did several video calls with us to gather and share information prior to the trip, and he had wonderful recommendations for where to stay and eat in Sulmona. The meals we had in Abruzzo were some of the best I've ever had (including the truffle meal with his uncle's family). It was a long-held dream of my husband to see where his grandparents had lived and we are so grateful for Marino's help in making this dream come true.

This is such a special and intimate taste of Abruzzo and terroir of this region. Umberto was so patient and welcoming. We had a little trouble finding the place (the entrance was down a dirt road so we were a little hesitant at first) and he patiently helped us figure out where to go. He’s incredibly knowledgeable not just about the wines he produces but about Italian wines as a whole. We loved all of the wines we tested and hearing about his techniques and path to opening his own winery. He served bread with his olive oil and the most incredible figs from his fig tree, and another couple enjoying the tasting had booked lunch as well, prepared by Umberto’s mother. While we didn’t book lunch, I loved seeing the presentation of the plates, which could compete in any 5-star restaurant - they were gorgeous plates of food and true celebrations of regional cooking. The views from the vineyard are unmatched, and it was so special tasting wines that are un-tampered with - just grapes no chemicals. One of the most special experiences on our trip to Italy so far.
