Nepal 2026 Calendar of Events

This was one of the highlights of our time in Kathmandu. We started early in the morning and reached Nagarkot in time to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the mountains. After that, the hike through the countryside, small villages, terraced fields, and local trails was a great way to experience a different side of Nepal. The walk to Changu Narayan was scenic and relaxed, with plenty of opportunities to stop, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings.The admission fees that were included in our package made everything very convenient. We didn't have to worry about arranging the main entrance tickets separately.The whole experience took most of the morning and was well worth the time. We never felt rushed, and there was enough time to enjoy the sunrise, hike, explore Changu Narayan, and take breaks along the way.The atmosphere was peaceful, especially during the early morning. Being away from the busy streets of Kathmandu and walking through the villages made the experience feel much more authentic. The mountain views and fresh morning air were definitely a bonus.We really appreciated that this was a private experience rather than being part of a large group. It made the hike much more comfortable and allowed us to go at our own pace. Nagarkot can get busy around sunrise, but starting early helped us enjoy the viewpoint before it became too crowded.A special mention goes to our guide, Shishir. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. He shared interesting information about Nepalese culture, history, villages, nature, and the places we passed along the trail. He also made sure we were comfortable and never rushed us. Shishir really made the experience feel personal rather than like just another organized tour.The team at Himalayan Planet Adventures also deserves credit for the smooth organization, communication, pickup, and overall coordination. Everything went according to plan.I would recommend this experience to couples, solo travelers, families, and anyone who wants to see the Himalayan landscape without committing to a multi-day trek. It is especially good for people who want a combination of sunrise views, hiking, nature, local villages, and culture in one day.Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and having Shishir as our guide made it even more memorable. We would happily choose Himalayan Planet Adventures again on a future visit to Nepal.

This is a most efficient way of seeing some World Heritage Sites. On our own, we may not have made it to Patan Durbar Square, which is amazingly beautiful.The tour does not include the Kathmandu Durbar Square, but that is in the heart of the city and easy to visit.Punam is a great guide and good company.A snack box is provided as part of the deal. Have lunch at one of the restaurants around Boudhnath Stupa. That is another surprising and most pleasant place: a huge stupa, surrounded by a ring of old houses with shops, cafes, and restaurants.

It was really good, nice guides and very tasty food Different options in menu We booked 10 minutes prior and they were ready for us on a short notice which was amazing. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful scenic flight with breathtaking views and a really friendly and professional crew. They explained so much along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable and special. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.A special thank you also goes to the local travel agency, who provided excellent service throughout. They were always very quick to respond and extremely helpful whenever we had a question or needed assistance.We truly enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend this tour! ❤️✈️

If you love Tibetan foods, a place to be when in Pokhara

My guide, Punam and our driver were delightful and knowledgeable. The tour covered the four key monuments listed in the guide books - Swayambhu, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. I learned much about the history and significance of Buddhist/Hindu practices plus a nice overview of local cuisine and crafts like Thanka painting. The ride to each site was an adventure! Highly recommended, you’ll truly appreciate the Nepali.

Had wonderful trek up to Poon Hill. I was with my Guide Bk, he is funny and helpful. The weather was rainy but worthy. Greenery, rain, water fall and less crowed make more peace and positive. The views of Himalaya was not clear but still enjoyed lots. Happy to recommended to Guide Bk and Eco Holidays Nepal.

I had an amazing day with Shishir. We started very early to see the Himalayas and then spent hours hiking through the mountains, villages and countryside, all the way to Changu Narayan. He took me to places I would never have discovered on my own and gave me a much better understanding of Nepal along the way.Shishir has an extensive knowledge of the country, the mountains, Nepalese culture and Buddhism, and was always happy to answer my endless questions. He was also very flexible and adapted the day to what I wanted to do, which made the experience feel personal rather than like a standard tour.Above all, he is a genuinely nice, trustworthy and interesting person to spend the day with. I really enjoyed both the hiking and our conversations.If I return to Nepal, I would definitely contact Shishir again. I recommend him without hesitation to anyone visiting Kathmandu who wants to discover the real Nepal beyond the usual tourist circuit.

Shree was a wonderful guide very knowledgeable about the history of the country and the temple's and gods. Had a awesome time would book with him again for a tour.. well worth the cost Felt safe walking though the city and markets

I had the best experience over the course of 3 days with Bikram. I got to see stunning views and try incredible food. I would 100% do it again!

I joined the class solo but I enjoyed it a lot! The teachers spoke perfect English and they helped me cooking as well. The dishes were great and decent amount I think. Thank you!
