Monument Valley Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Our guide was from the area and was very knowledgeable. We were a small group and had plenty of time to ask questions and listen to stories. Seeing the arches and dwellings was an amazing opportunity for us. Highly recommend!!

This is a great tour that explorers a good part of the monument valley. Advisable to have and wear a bandanna or face mask because the road is rough and dusty. the lunch was excellent. The Guide did not rush us and spent a lot of time explaining and pointing out the Rock formations and the history of the area.

The trip was great. BUT I strongly dispute Cool Destinations's policy of providing NO DIRECT CONTACT INFORMATION for either Cool Destinations itself or the trip provider at the time we made our reservation. For reasons beyond our control we had to amend our plans on short notice, & I had to Google both Cool Destinations & the contracted tour provider to get phone #s. Once we called Cool Destinations Mohamed provided excellent assistance. For reasons unknown, I never received emails sent by Cool Destinations & the contractual tour provider. While I would strongly recommend hiring a guide to see Monument Valley - & this specific contractor - I would strongly advise people not to do so through Cool Destinations.

Great smaller company with a very local guide and operation . We were very happy to not be with one of the bigger companies with more people ! Very personalized tour .Amery was very good at giving us history and local color . Thank you!

Beautiful tour of Navajo Tribal Park. Guide Leander was so fun and informative. The scenery was amazing.

The best way to explore and connect to the land is through the person, that grew up on it.. Levander is the one. The tour was not just a tour but a Time Machine to get back to an unthinkable time when the first settlers came to the valley, how they lived and how their legacy is being preserved by their descendants, including Levander and many others. Thank you very much.

An amazing and beautiful tour. Our guide was excellent and everyone was so nice. I definitely recommend this tour.

It takes forever to get there. The is a line to git into the park. $10 per person, card only. It is also on Mountain Daylight Time. But don't worry. The will send you out as soon as they have a full vehicle. Out driver, Larry, was informative and helpful. The park was better the the pictures and movies. It was well worth the trip.

Fantastic experience at Monument Valley. Our driver Levander took us to discover beautiful places that would otherwise be inaccessible. He told us about his history and let us go inside one of their homes. It was undoubtedly the experience that made our visit to Monument Valley unique, enriching it with enormous value. Absolutely recommended for seeing both the most famous spots and the other fabulous places that you will only see when accompanied by local Navajos.

This is the third time I've used Monument Valley Safari for a night photography tour, and every one has been excellent. They know where to take you for the best night sky scenes based on the time of year and weather.
