We had such a lovely time on this food tour of Kalamata. Maria was a fantastic guide - warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, and it was clear throughout the tour how passionate she is about Greek food, culture and her home country.We got to try a great variety of delicious local foods, many of which we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own, while also learning about the history and character of Kalamata as we explored the city. Maria brought everything to life with her stories and enthusiasm.My boyfriend and I both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and came away feeling like we had experienced a much more authentic side of Kalamata. We’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city - especially if you love good food and want to learn more about Greece from someone who genuinely loves sharing it.

Maria is an incredible woman and has put together a lovely tour filled with knowledge of Greece and Kalamata’s history and culture. Throughout the tour, you get to try many delicious Greek foods from small, local businesses and learn about olive oil from an expert. As a solo, female traveler, I definitely recommend Mama’s Flavors!

We’ve had such a fabulous 4 night charter with the hardworking and lovely skipper Tasos who grew up in the area and knows all the best places to visit and our cook and hostess Sandie who makes the most delicious food from fresh, local ingredients- one of our daughters is extremely fussy and she ate everything Sandie prepared! We highly recommend Messina yachts to everyone considering this sort of holiday. Thank you also to Dimitris and Dimitra for their attention to detail with planning our trip and executing everything with the highest quality. It will be a family holiday we will always remember and we hope to repeat this trip for a full 7 nights next time!

Dimitri and the skipper Ilia are both really nice, easy to talk, very friendly and organised our day trip the way we wanted and hoped. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable, and informative, making the whole tour really enjoyable. We rode along the beautiful coastal path, passing through Agios Nikolaos, a charming fishing village that's definitely worth a visit. Riding back as the sun was setting was the perfect ending to the evening, with absolutely stunning views all the way. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was a unique, enjoyable tour. Our family had been traveling in Greece for almost two weeks so we were getting tired. This experience rejuvenated me. We got to paddle out to an island and snorkle. Then, we kept paddling and visited a cave. We paddled on to a beach where we snorkled again and played some games. We also had a traditional Greek lunch. The fish, cave, and scenery were amazing. Our guide, Kostas, was very patient and shared a lot of information about the area and things to do. I'm a science teacher so I enjoyed learning about the geology of Greece. He also recommended we go to the market and old town in Kalamata. We did that the next day and it was a great experience. It was a full day and we got to see Kardamyli from a different perspective

Kostas, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable of the area and local history, genuinely friendly and accommodating. He thoroughly explained the proper paddling techniques which made the tour all the more enjoyable. Stopping to snorkel and paddling in the caves made for great memories. Kostas went beyond the booking by offering us a list of additional recommendations of places to visit. And he is a great photographer! Highly recommended!

We were a group of women motorcycle riders on a day off. Dimitris made sure that we caught the best weather opening for our group in our limited time there. He was a great host. All of us had a great time. I highly recommend.

The guides were amazing and true professionals. It was our first time rafting and we felt completely comfortable and safe. The place is magical, and the experience is definitely worth it. We will definitely do it again!

A wonderful day trip along the Mani peninsula visiting various villages ( Kardimali, Stoupa, Limeni, Aeropolis) and the infamous Diros Caves. The tour was guided by Telia, a qualified historian whose roots are from Mani. Telia”s knowledge and presentation of Mani”s history was educational, captivating and entertaining. We were chauffeured in her company’s luxurious Mercedes mini van, and visited the Diros Caves ( best to get there early at 9am to avoid cues) then taken for a walking tour to Aeropolis ( beautiful medieval village) followed by lunch at a restaurant in Stoupa for one of the best meals I have had in Greece, and swim in Stoupas beautiful beach (absolutely amazing!). Truly a wonderful day had by all! Thank you Telia for making this a truly unforgettable day for us xxx

We enjoyed our food tour with Maria of Mama’s Kitchen so much that we didn’t hesitate to book this second experience. This time, Maria took us to a charming village near Pylos, where we were welcomed into the garden of Stephanie and her husband, nestled in their beautiful olive grove. Together, we baked traditional bread and prepared a classic village meal, all cooked in an outdoor wood-fired oven. It was more than just a cooking class, it felt like an evening with friends with local wine and treats. If you're looking to step off the beaten path and experience a taste of Greek village life with hospitality, delicious food and good company this experience is not to be missed.

My family and I (daughter is 11) spent a fantastic morning on this private boat trip to Kitries. We booked it through Get Your Guide and the entire process was really easy.The team gave us a friendly welcome when we arrived and after getting our snorkeling gear and loading the boat we were off without any delay.This is family business and we felt a real personal service throughout. There was good selection of soft drinks and a lovely fruit platter provided for us which was very welcome after our various swims through the morning.Our Captain for the morning (Anastasia) was very friendly, patient and provided lots of interesting information about the areas we visited.Through the morning we stops at a number of beautiful spots for swimming and snorkeling, many of which we would not have been able to find without a boat.We were able to swim in crystal clear waters and say a wide variety of fish life each time. At no time did we ever feel rushed. It was completely relaxing. We also stopped off at the small village of Kitries and had look around (there is an option in this tour to stay longer for lunch - the fish restaurants looked great).From start to finish a great experience. Great value for money. Highly recommend if you are staying in or around Kalamata.

Wonderful country, turn for chariots magnificent. Well maintained and renovated. The church of Santa Sofia beautiful. Nice to sleep within the walls. Put on comfortable shoes! No slippers!!! Slippery pebbles
