Our guide gave us a great overview of the cote de nuits and the two vineyards in particular. Very informative with lots of background information

The hostess and wine shop owner was so lovely. She was so charming and entertaining. We learned a lot about the wines and the region. The wines were amazing. It was an absolutely wonderful evening!

Our two day tour through Burgundy with Thomas was spectacular. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as we toured 6 exceptional wineries in Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune. This tour was an investment worth making since we were able to visit smaller, family run wineries and taste a wide variety of Burgundian wines. We would return to Burgundy to tour with Thomas again in a heartbeat.

We found the tour very interesting. The flexibility of the tour with your own schedule was super practical, although information about opening hours, e.g., of the market hall, in advance (in the tour intro) would be helpful for planning your own tour. The tour is highly recommended.

It was great tour beautiful wineries and tour the lady I forgot her name I am so bad at remembering names.. she was great for everything. Highly recommended this tour.

The tour was absolutely amazing, our guide Valentine was incredible, he was extremely informative, polite, thoughtful and made the day very special, Burgundy are very lucky to have him! The 3 wineries were excellent, each different from the other and lunch in Beaune was a perfect location to refuel and explore the town. On tour we met two very warm and friendly Americans, an uncle and niece who made the day even more memorable and enjoyable. Last but not least, the wines were all fantastic, I highly recommend Valentine and the tour. Book it in!

Valentin was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining! We were a small group - me and my two adult sons (USA) and a wonderful woman from Saudi Arabia. We drove to two different Wineries where we were welcomed like family. It was very educational and informative but relaxed at the same time. I highly recommend Valentin and this wine tour! If I’m fortunate enough to go back to Dijon - I would do it again!

Wine Compass was one of the highlights of our time in Dijon. The tasting was fun, highly informative, and exceptionally well done. Matthieu is charming, engaging, and remarkably knowledgeable, not only about Dijon and Burgundy but also about wines from Spain, Italy, and other regions around the world. He also has a great sense of humor, which kept the session lively and approachable even as we covered some fairly complex subjects. We began with an excellent introduction to the geology of Burgundy and why it matters so much to the wines produced here. Mathieu explained Burgundy’s classification system, including village wines, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru, and then helped us understand how to approach a wine through its aromas, structure, and complexity. The tasting itself consisted of six wines, all served blind: two Chardonnays and four Pinot Noirs. Tasting them without seeing the labels made the experience particularly valuable. Rather than being influenced by a producer or appellation, we had to concentrate on what was actually in the glass. I came away with a much better understanding of just how important the nose is when evaluating wine and how aromas can reveal the complexity and character of Burgundy wines. I learned a great deal without ever feeling as though I was sitting through a lecture. If you are visiting Dijon and want to understand Burgundy wine rather than simply drink it, I highly recommend Wine Compass and Matthieu. An excellent experience from beginning to end.

Matthieu was very cool! The wine tasting was in his little wine cellar, the ambiance was super. The event was funny and interesting and we tasted really good wines. I can only recommend!

To say that my wife and I enjoyed our tours would be a disservice to Stephen. We were amateurs when it comes to Burgundy wines. Our goal was to learn and taste wines from the region. Stephen's knowledge and choices of wineries was fantastic.

Once you understand how it works on the phone, you just have to listen to the commentary for each location and follow the map to get to the next place. The commentary is very interesting, neither too long nor too short.

Our guide was really lovely and informative. She offered many suggestions for restaurants, bars and gave us a rich history of the town. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. We really appreciated learning more about Burgundy wines in general and the estate wines. The wine tasting made the concept of climats very concrete, and we tasted excellent Pommard wines from different vintages and parcels.
