Bamberg 2026 Calendar of Events

We had an amazing experience with Rich on September 8th 2026. He met my husband and I at the Bamberg train station. We then took a bus to our farthest point so we could hike back. The hike was amazing and the breweries we went to even better. I highly recommend one of his tours. His communication prior to, during and after the tour was excellent. He even took several pictures and emailed them to us. Enjoy!! Prost

We really enjoyed it. We had a lovely tour through Bamberg and saw and learned a lot. The navigation was excellent; apparently, the city maps have been revised when reading the old reviews. One could choose between Google Maps with navigation function and another online city map, which worked out great. In between, we took small breaks, which was not a problem at all. The story was well done and supposedly mostly real, which added a bit more excitement to the whole experience. It doesn't bother us that there is a bit more text; after all, it is about Bamberg and the true story, which interested us a lot.

We had a lovely day in Bamberg, saw a lot, and learned quite a bit about the witch trials. It was entertaining. Everything went well for us. It was worth it. Thank you.

A decent walking tour, very Informative, relaxed, and well paced.

Great little tour. Allowed me to see things I wouldn’t have seen and learn some new stuff. Definitely great for the price. Only issue was the path to the last stop was closed for some reason (gate was locked). Could have gotten there another way but would have added 20 minutes on and didn’t have the time. Other than that it was great.At the church, the recording was reading special characters when describing the 6 statues outside the entrance. “Less-than, greater-than, blah blah blah”

The only negative thing … so much food … so much beer. Perfect way to sample Bamberg’s beer. Do some research first. Locals were so nice and offered great suggestions. Be sure you pace yourself. Beautiful walkable city. One of the best stops and tours on our itinerary. Have fun!

My son and I spent a day with Rich in the Bamberg countryside and it was more fun than we imagined. We were supposed to go to 5 breweries, but ended up going to ten! Three meals 17 kilometers, and 14 hours later we arrived at our hotel. We drank 15 beers and I was sober, which was shocking. We laughed the entire time and were amazed at the quality and taste of the beer. Now I know why Germans like to hike! If you want to have a once in a lifetime experience, with someone who loves what they do, then hire this wonderful man, who will throw back liters with you and order great food. The scenery is stunning as well.

We went on our own from bamberg after we did our research. There is a bus every hour and a nice village short walk away. This is so much better to visit. Entry is 5 euros, which includes a tour in German. We were given the English translations. Just before the tour starts, we are treated to 8 minutes of the beautiful fountain cascades. Once inside the palace we are able to take photos, look and see other rooms and appreciate the contents and atmosphere far better than the Schloss Weissenstein palace. More over most plaques had English translation.

Must visit to travel to Germany, its Dom and old town are extraordinary, cross the unforgettable river, you can eat in any restaurant in the center without getting fattened prices for being a tourist, I would not mind coming back with more time

The tour guide was very knowledge and responsive to all questions asked. We had previously seen some of the tour stops and so she worked with us to incorporate other stops. Would highly recommend.
