We had a great tour. We had a very informative and engaging guide who took us to 5 different food places and, along the way, gave us a history of Brooklyn and showed us parts of it we would never otherwise have seen. And the food at each place was great. I would highly recommend this food tour.

Alison was a great host and the food was delicious! It was a very fun experience and I learned some new, authentic Chinese dishes.

Alison’s passion for cooking authentic food from her home really shines through in the dishes she guides you through. I first met her on her Flushing food tour, where she introduced me to incredible local spots—and this class felt like a perfect continuation of that experience.I was surprised by how many fresh herbs go into Yunnan dishes—and even more impressed that so many came from her own garden. It added a depth and brightness to the food that made each dish stand out.Everything we cooked was unbelievably tasty—I kept eating long after I was full. I brought home leftovers, but the noodle soup didn’t last. I finished it that same night because it was just too good!

I bought my wife this experience to celebrate her birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. We learnt so much about Southwest Chinese culture and can now confidently navigate a Chinese supermarket to buy all of the produce we need to recreate the dishes at home. We didn't know what to expect walking into a stranger's home, but Alison was welcoming, chatty and an absolute delight to spend time with. Will be recommending to all of our friends!

This was a great way to see more of Brooklyn, learn about the history and culture, and taste some great food along the way. All the food choices were good, but the stand outs were the super-fresh falafel and pizza. Benoit was a great guide and good company. Definitely recommended.

This was a fun tour of Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo with great views of the Manhattan Skyline and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Ben was a fun tour guide and we got to sample a variety of different foods along the way.

My guide, Benoit, was so informative and took me to some excellent food joints, the kind of places I wouldn't have thought to go to, left to my own devices. When visiting a foreign city it's important to make the right food choices, and this food tour truly delivered: excellent pizza, tasty bagels (and I'm not even a bagel person); and delicious soup dumplings.

We had the best time with Gabby one Sunday afternoon showing us all the history of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO areas! We ate our way through by tasting the best foods of the city! From Pizza to tacos and the big surprise, the best falafel we had ever tasted! Gabby was so easy to talk to and kept the adventure going into the sweet treats near the end of the tour. I highly recommend this tour as it's just real. Just real NYC. One perk about being in Brooklyn was the fabulous views of the NYC skyline and Stature of LIberty. It's a must-do if visiting!

This was my third tour with funky tours in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The food was all absolutely excellent. The experience was excellent. The communication was great. Everything went smoothly. Gabbi is always a delightful guide. She brings a wealth of knowledge and is graded answering questions and being entertaining without being so boisterous that it draws a crowd and it can be distracting, which sometimes is the case with overzealous tour guides. All three tours have felt very intimate and connected, and even in incredibly loud crowded spaces, we always could hear one another end prioritize, the best sites and foods.

I lucked out that the other group that should have been at the tour couldn’t attend so I got an amazing solo food tour from Gabby! She showed me around DUMBO and gave good facts about the architecture and bridges. All 5 food spots were great! Would recommend especially with this guide!
