Top Avignon Cooking Classes

My husband and I truly enjoyed our cooking class at Les Halles with Chef Jonathan. The walk around the market before the class was such a nice touch. Chef Jonathan sources many of his ingredients directly from the market stalls, and we were able to pick up a few spices that were used in our menu at a stall afterwards.The menu itself was a wonderful introduction to local Provençal specialties, and we came away with some great new ideas and techniques to use at home.And how have I gone all these years without knowing how to cut an onion properly?! 😊 Thank you, Chef Jonathan, for such a fun, delicious, and memorable experience!

My daughter-in-law and I had a truly fabulous time learning to cook a French meal with Kelliy! Her kitchen is beautiful and the ingredients were all fresh and locally sourced. Kelly gave friendly directions and taught us a few tricks along the way. I highly recommend this activity so you can bring a little bit of Provence's life back home with you.

The cooking class with Jonathan in Les Halles in Avignon was superb. The class was excellent, food was perfect and the recipes were great. We really enjoyed the class.

What a delightful time we had cooking with Kelly. First of all the kitchen was a delight to the senses. The colors, the smells, the wonderful French kitchen music set the tone. We cooked potatoes au gratin, leg of lamb, stuffed zucchini flowers and strawberry tarts. Kelly did a fantastic job with instruction and affirmations as we prepared the dishes. After everything was cooked we sat around a large table in the yard, enjoyed some wine and the fruit of our labors. Kelly is gracious and such a hostess. Phillipe (her husband) did the honors of carving the lamb and ate with us. We all left with a full tummy, a smile on our faces and happy hearts. This is a do NOT miss experience

Gina was marvelous! She is expert in Provencale and a delight to be with. We explored the recipes and options.

Gina was warm and welcoming. She had wonderful local cooking knowledge. The whole experience was excellent and the food delicious.

Learning the different types of wines snd how to blend. Emily was friendly and knowledgeable. We chatted about many things during the evening.

Fantastic experience! Really interesting to blend your own wine to see what different flavors and textures you can add with just shifting percentages around a little. Highly recommend.

This was truly a highlight of our time in Provence! The class was fun and informative and the food was fantastic…we’ll recreate for friends soon! Kelly & Philipe were gracious hosts, the facility was top notch. We’ve done many cooking classes, this one was exceptional!

My wife and I took a cooking class from Gina and had an amazing experience. We met her at the Les Halles Market where we selected a variety of fresh fish and vegetables for lunch that we planned together. We walked only a few short blocks to her apartment where we enjoyed each other's company while preparing a salmon tartar appetizer followed by sea bass with roasted peppers and quinoa.Gina was such a delight. She made us feel welcome in her home and we learned a lot about French Mediterranean cuisine. It was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation in France.Thanks Gina for such a wonderful time!

A friend and I, on a french language immersion trip, signed up for this cours de cuisine with Gina for last week. This cooking class with Gina was the highlight of my trip to Avignon. Gina is very friendly, bilingual, and after taking us shopping at the market Les Halles, had us over to her apartment in Avignon’s old town for preparing our planned meal of stuffed peppers and a delicious tapenade. She involved us in the process as much as each of us wanted. My friend was more interested in the intimacy of the cultural experience, and I was a mix of the experience and the cooking. The final part, dining on the fruits of our labor on Gina’s rooftop terrace, is the stuff you’ve only only seen in movies. Up to now, that is. Merci Madam, c’était vraiment un bon moment!!

My wife and I did the cooking class today that was lead by Kelly. What a fun time. It was sort of early in the season so only 4 of us but we had so much fun. We made a starter, entre and desert. All of which were excellent. The cooking class was held on Kelly’s picturesque country home. Added so much to tge experience. Thank-you!

Our family of four enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon at La Beluga with a cooking class followed by lunch al fresco in La Belugue's relaxing garden on a perfect August Provence day. The ingredients were so fresh, Kelly's instruction was spot on, and the wine the perfect compliment. We'd recommend this for anyone who enjoys wonderful food, hands on experiences, and the outdoor beauty of Provence. It was the highlight of our week in the south of France.
