We had such a great time at the Athens: Sculpt Your Greek Masterpiece Workshop! I did this experience with my 25yo daughter and it was so much fun!!Our instructor was incredibly patient and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. The group was small, which was perfect because we had plenty of time to work on our sculptures and get individual guidance when we needed it.And the studio… WOW! It was such a cool and inspiring space and really added to the whole experience.Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or even solo, I highly recommend this workshop. It was hands on, unique, and something completely different from the typical sightseeing experience. We absolutely loved it!

so much fun! we chose which type of piece we wanted to make (mug, plate, vase, etc) and then we were instructed on how to make it. the teacher was helpful, friendly, and supportive. even though none of us had ever worked with clay we all enjoyed ourselves!

This was such a unique experience and definitely something I wouldn’t have thought to do in Athens. What made it even more special was hearing about the generations of the family who have been involved in sculpting and art. You could really feel the history and passion behind the craft.Mateo was a fantastic instructor. He was patient, encouraging, and made the experience fun regardless of your artistic ability. Not everyone in our group was naturally artistic, but everyone still had a great time and left with something they could be proud of.It was also really cool learning about the family's work on Assassin’s Creed and seeing the connection between their traditional craftsmanship and modern entertainment.And the wine cellar area was an unexpected surprise and added another layer to the experience. It was a really cool setting for something that felt both educational and hands-on.If you're looking for something different from the typical Athens sightseeing experience, I highly recommend this. You get to learn about Greek art and craftsmanship, try sculpting yourself, hear some incredible family history, and have a genuinely fun experience along the way.

Friendly artist/sculptor, bilingual, informative about different clays and it's properties. Cafe very close by if you want to bring a coffee with you. May benefit from a colourful sign for tourists to spot and cold water flask to offer in the studio, August I can imagine gets very hot inside.

To start, the instructor was very patient with me and my friend, lol! We didn't feel lost at any point and he engaged with us and our 'projects', along with some general chat which all made the experience very comfortable and fun :) - - - Plus, we didn't share this, but we both have autism and anxiety, and I thought he still treated us kindly and patiently (again, something we worry about), especially with us commonly having problems with Greek accents, haha 😅 , and his English was super 🤙 - - - Despite the obvious guidance, the pottery-making itself felt very creative and we had alot of time to shape and design it however we wanted - also, we were able to use the full 2 hours advertised without feeling rushed (idk about these other reviews, but definitely not us) - - - So, I think this experience is whatever you make of it, but you will definitely feel comfortable no matter what 😊🫶 thanks

Very fun experience! Got the opportunity to create any type of piece you want - mugs, plates, etc. we were beginners so we appreciated the assistance. They take care of shipping so now we wait to see how they turned out!

We made pottery for the first time. It was a lot of fun. Irene explained and demonstrated every step great and always helped when you couldn't get anywhere.

We really liked the Workshop. The communication with the instructor was very easy going and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We definitely recommend.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. The pottery class was relaxed, fun, and welcoming from start to finish. We got to sculpt our own little heads, which was a really unique and creative experience, even for complete beginners.The host was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the session. They took the time to explain each step, offered guidance whenever needed, and created a friendly atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable. We had an awesome day kneding, molding, turning, and perfecting our pottery creations. We were coached on each step. It is amazing how different each piece became with the same instructions. We laughed and were surprised at the results. The kids won the day with the best pottery results! Great memories.

Great experience. The kids loved it. Super helpful with both the pottery and offering suggestions for our trip. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

This was so fun and relaxing! I highly recommend this for groups of friends and couples! We aren’t artistic but we’re able to create adorable sculptures.

Really fun, would definitely do again!

One of my dreams was to create an ancient Greek wine cup in the heart of Athens, and this workshop made it come true. Although I was a complete beginner, our instructor, Dilek, patiently and kindly guided me to shape a complex cup within the limited time. My daughter also enjoyed making her bowl under Dilek’s clear and easy-to-follow guidance. It’s such a special feeling to savor wine from my own handmade cup! We’re deeply grateful to the Tales in Tiles team and highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is inspired by the art and pottery displayed in the museums of Athens.

A very relaxed chill vibe, I love njoued the session thoroughly. I went with my best friend and had a blast!

Super fun and creative! I definitely enjoyed learning about the different techniques. She’s very nice and helpful, and the cat that wandered in was super cute.
