Punta Sam Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

From pickup to drop off, everything was very well organized and timely managed. Both the tour guides, Juan and Thomas were very helpful and well informed. We liked that they made a couple of stops before we went to chichenitza. Throughout the tour they were very friendly and helpful in making sure we get coffee and water breaks, being able to use the restroom etc. I really liked how funny Juan (139) was and he also took some beautiful photos for us too. Only feedback is the restaurant food option where we went to see the cenote, food options weren’t good. Everything else was excellent, on time and worth the money. I highly recommend anyone looking to book a tour, book these guys for an enjoyable day trip.

We had an amazing experience on our Chichén Itzá tour! Our tour guide, Juam did an incredible job. He was very friendly, respectful, funny, and knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly and gave us great instructions throughout the entire tour, which made the experience easy, enjoyable, and stress-free.I also want to give a big thank you to Rubén, our driver, who did a fantastic job taking us everywhere we needed to go and making sure we got around safely and comfortably.Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chichén Itzá. Juam and Rubén made the trip even more enjoyable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Angel was the best guide ever! If your scared to do something he will be right by your side to make sure you get the full experience. This being my family’s first vacation I wanted to make sure they were comfortable with everything and this excursion was a little out their comfort level but with Angel he made it very smooth sailing so they could enjoy themselves

Juam was a great tour guide. Very through and able to translate between English and Spanish very well. He was very informative about the Mayan culture and my family had a great time.

It was a very nice tour. Out guide, Frank, had so much knowledge about the Maya as he even is a Maya himself. He explained everything about rituals, sacrifices, games and the gods. At every place there was enough greeting planned after a quick tour by Frank. I can definitely recommend him and the driver José, as the ride was very smooth. The only thing I have to admit is, that in the end it was almost 200€ per person for us, which was definitely too expensive in our opinion. Nevertheless was the tour and each spot wonderful to look at!

Great choice to experience multiple activities. We got to experience horseback riding, cenote, zip line and ATV. I really enjoyed it plus the shots!!

This trip really was wonderful! Getting to see the culture of Mexico, the Mayan way of living and the UNESCO Chichen Itza was really a great opportunity. Cannot forget the tequila tasting session! Myself and my partner had a brilliant day out, being able to live new experiences that we would not get elsewhere!All of this could not have been possible without our driver and guides along the way. Kevin and Juam took us through the culture and heritage throughout the day - helping us to understand the importance of these artefacts and being so welcoming and interactive along the way. Great excursion and it was awesome

This exp was so fun! Our guide, Maria made sure we had a great time, enjoyed the open bar and all! Great time to snorkel and just float in the water. Also beautiful sites!!Highly recommend eating before and at the island, the food was the only thing we did not enjoy.

We did the cenote and lagoon tour on our honeymoon. It was around $180.00 for two of us. They do try to get you with a $40 per person photo fee. You can take photos at the lagoon but not the cenote. It was very enjoyable. Pickup was right on time and explained very thoroughly in the email. It was a smooth process. The van was comfortable and spacious. Fernando was sweet and a great driver. We picked up other passengers along the way. There was around 14 of us I believe. We ended up getting to Yal Ku. JJ was a wonderful tour guide explaining natural history and explaining the process of how to snorkel. He helped us spot a sting ray, eel, and many other creatures. We then went to the cenote, which was gorgeous. JJ made sure to explain everything and added humor throughout. It was overall a great experience. Recommend.

We had a great day trip to Tulum. The small 14 passenger van picked us up on time. The trip to Tulum including a few more hotel pick ups took about two hours. There was a midway stop at Adventures Cancun office where we could use the bathroom. The van had a cooler with water and snacks for us. We also picked up our tour guide Myriam there who was lovely. She was very informative on our tour of Tulum and was happy to answer any question the tour of Tulum took about one hour. I would highly recommend borrowing or bringing an umbrella. Single use plastic water bottles are not allowed in Tulum so bring a reusable, refillable bottle or you can buy one at the market there. It was very very very hot which was expected. We had some free time after the tour, which was nice. There are many shops, including coffee, ice cream, café, and a Subway right at the entrance of Tulum. Everyone wants to sell you something which is to be expected, but everyone is very nice and respectful. When we loaded back on the van they had cold bottles of water and a cold towel waiting for each of us, which was so thoughtful! We dropped Myriam off back at the office and everyone was dropped off at their respective hotels. We left at 7 AM and got back at 2 PM. Highly recommend this excursion!

The experience on this trip was amazing our tour guide was Ricardo and driver, Carlos. We have heard a lot about visiting Chichén Itza. It’s one of the 7 wonders of the world. I definitely don’t think you should do it on your own, and you definitely need to be with the right tour guide. Ricardo is very friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. He went over the history of the Mayas and the ruins and explained it a way that felt like you were there. His English is great also. By the end of the trip it felt bittersweet because it felt like we really made a connection and now we had to go. I would 110% recommend booking with Cancun Adventures and requesting for Ricardo and Carlos as your guides.

We had such an amazing time with our tour guide, Ana! She was so knowledgeable of both the history and present-day conditions, and what Mayans believe and why. It was so much fun too!

We had a blast on this excusion! So much fun riding the 4 wheelers and the airboats were a new activity for us! The staff was helpful and made our day a ton of fun! We had a great ride on the ATVs and on the airboats, we saw Pink Flamingoes and stopped at a stunning beach area - highly recommend!!!!! Also the photos offered were great and reasonable!!!!!!!
