The audio tour was a great way to explore Ambleside and learn about its history. Very easy to use and clear to listen to.

This was a great audio tour, we could wander off track by pausing and take it at our own pace. The location tracking is fantastic as you don't need to remember which point you're at, it's automatically played when you reach the point. Plus it gives you a free tour to use later.

Martin is an excellent guide for our group of friends. He was very informative, knowledgeable and interesting. We found out lots of interesting facts about the area especially the history of Ambleside. Would recommend.

This was a brilliant tour, a great introduction to Ambleside with helpful suggestions of where you might like to spend more time. Well paced with interesting information about some of the town’s influential residents.

Jamie was a great guide for our walk around the stunning scenery. He shared his local knowledge and was very informative. I first met Jamie and Blisco last year and enjoyed my adventure so much that it was a no brainer to book up again on my next visit to The Lake District. My trip this year was actually organised around my walk with Jamie, as I did the special walk of Rannerdale in full bluebells bloom and boy did it live up to and beyond expectations! Jamie tailored the walk to the request of another hiker to also do Rannerdale Knotts, but making sure we were all happy with the route options, and fitness/capabilities. So I am now officially hooked on “bagging Wainwrights” and can’t wait to return to the Lakes again and see what my next adventure with Jamie and Blisco holds! I hugely recommend Jamie and Inspirit Walking to all, regardless of your knowledge, fitness and experience of the Lakes, a walk with Jamie will never disappoint.

We had an excellent day's walk, which combined the very best of the Lake District! Starting at Glenridding, the price included a trip on the iconic Ullswater Steamers - lovely views down the lake and a chance for Jamie to share his knowledge of the area, pointing out the different fells and places of interest. Then up the small but lovely Hallin Fell for a panoramic vista, and back down to the lake for a walk through ancient woodland and along the shore; lunch on a sunny outcrop and back to base past an amazing carpet of daffodils at Glenridding church. On another day we might have seen red squirrels and red deer too - today though it was buzzards, a woodpecker and an angry chaffinch! Jamie is a brilliant guide, very experienced and genuinely good company. It's not my first time joining one of his group walks and it certainly won't be my last - I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to walk, chat, learn about the Lakes and enjoy a varied day, making the most of everything this fantastic place has to offer. Thank you Jamie!

We had a fantastic time on The Langdale Walking Tour with Jamie. Communication beforehand was excellent, so we felt well prepared and relaxed even before we set off. The small group size and comfortable pace made the walk especially enjoyable. Jamie was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the area, pointing out present day and historical facts and sharing insights we would never have known otherwise. The scenery was stunning throughout and the lunch stop was an excellent spot with truly gorgeous views. A memorable day and one we would highly recommend for anyone staying in or around the area.

It was so fun. The hike through the England countryside was amazing. Jamie and his lovely pooch made the trip. Jamie was so informative and spoke of all the historical events. I was very impressed on how safety was number 1. He would caution us on up coming parts of the trail to be aware of and was very attentive to all of us. A true professional !! I would suggest this trip to everyone that goes to England.

My daughter and I planned our trip in the UK around this hike and I’m so glad we did! Jamie was a great hike guide! He was very knowledgeable and also paced the hike well to the abilities of everyone in the group. His dog Blisco was an added bonus! I highly recommend taking a hike with Jamie!!

Jamie was absolutely incredible.. from the minute we looked around and started asking questions pre trip, he was helpful and approachable and tailored everything to the experience and fitness of the group. This was everyone's first time to the Lakes, and Jamie provided a tour that gave us a bit of everything. Before we arrived he provided a list of things we should bring, where to meet, where to park etc. The day could not have been more perfect.. the weather, the route, the cows wandering up to us to come have a drink from the lake. Jamie walked us though the history of the area at every stage, the place names, the significance of people and place (I won't spoil it for you here), and the importance of the ecology. We had a fly-by by the USAF F-15's, which if I would not have known better I could swear Jamie also arranged this :) The walk was easy.. a couple of hills but nothing too taxing for anyone in our group. Jamie was extremely accommodating and attentive throughout. He kept a quiet eye on the group, and suggested stops and water breaks as needed, and provided great photo opportunities - and of course cake stops! At the end of the tour, Jamie recommended the Britannia pub for lunch, and we were not disappointed. He also gave us a recommendation for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and this was also incredible. Above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. The final thing I shall say about Jamie is this. Jamie is a sole person business. He does this because it is a passion of his, and this is what shines through. I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough, and if you are considering a trip to the lakes, look no further, and do so in the knowledge that you are supporting a truly lovely guy.
