Having Stephen as my tutor this past week was an incredible experience. I arrived with a few stones and some basic skills, but he belied in my ideas and nurtured me through the process. Working in his studio which had every tool imaginable, was inspiring. I will be forever grateful.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Camera Etrusca Photography. Our guide was Patrick Nicholas who is a talented professional photographer, an excellent teacher and a delightful host. His knowledge of Orvieto and the surrounding area was breathtaking and he was able to help us not only take better photographs, but also better understand the city and the region.My wife and I both have photography experience but learned much from Patrick, particularly about controlling the camera in manual mode. One of the greatest things about the trip was having an experienced guide who knew all the right spots for great photos. We highly recommend Camera Etrusca and Patrick Nicholas.

Wonderful experience that I recommend to everyone, especially to couples who are about to get married: my boyfriend and I had a great time forging our wedding rings! It was an intense and very interesting day, thanks to Stephen who taught us and guided us in making our wedding rings, which thus acquired an even greater sentimental value.

I participated in the workshop with my fiancé to create the wedding rings for our marriage. It was very nice to be part of the entire jewelry creation process, from choosing the model/thickness/shape, etc., to its realization and refinement. With the expert guidance of Stephen and assisted by his wife for English/Italian translation, we were able to appreciate every phase of design and creation. It is an experience we highly recommend; we truly had a lot of fun and were able to personalize a piece of jewelry that will accompany us for a lifetime.

I have now done two workshops with Stephen, and he offers such a wonderful experience. Whether or not you have good dexterity, he helps you develop your own ideas and then realize them into a unique item of which you can be proud. He has all sorts of adaptive equipment, as well, so if you have particular needs, he may be able to meet them. What I particularly enjoy is how he is able to understand my vision and then help me create it by teaching me the right techniques and showing me how to use the tools and equipment for myself. I will definitely be returning to Todi Art Lab.

Stephen was the ideal combination of teacher and host, directing me through the process of making an incredible sterling silver ring. The time spent was informative and at a pace to suit me and Stephen was receptive to questions and clear in his explanations, as well as feeling more about his experiences as an artist jeweller. The studio itself is fantastic - equipped well with equipment - in beautiful and historic surroundings. We had a break for lunch with Stephen leading the way to a fantastic little spot. Thank you so much for the memories and the ring - I hope to return soon.

I really enjoyed the one-day one-to-one class – it was such a fulfilling experience. I'm very proud of the ring and earrings I made, and I truly appreciated the guidance and patience throughout the day of Stephen. It was a pleasure learning from him!

First time doing anything at all like this. Stephen is a deep well of jewellery making and metal working knowledge which he generously shared to enable me to achieve in stone and silver what I had imagined and drawn on paper. My project wasn't exactly a piece of jewellery, rather a miniature sculpture, but the skills required were the same. Stephen has a fantastically well equipped workshop in which you could make just about any kind of jewellery you could imagine.....including small sculptures ! It was a very interesting and rewarding experience and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone remotely interested in giving it a try.

I had a great experience at Art Lab Todi! Stephen was incredibly kind and professional. He walked me through each step of the jewelry-making process, educating me along the way. I created a ring and earrings that look so polished and professional and are a meaningful souvenir of my time in Italy. Stephen also went above and beyond by giving me a quick tour during lunch and sharing local recommendations to enhance the rest of my trip. Highly recommend this experience if you’re looking to do something creative and personal while visiting this beautiful town.

Steve was a perfect host, we learned a lot and loved the experience. Additionally we now rings we adore.It was awesome that we could do everything on our own, knowing he was always there with help and information.

The workshop took place in an old and cool house in the middle of Todi. It felt calm, genuine and not like a tourist activity.The instructor was clearly very experienced. He helped when needed but made sure we where the ones making the decisions. I felt part of the whole process from start to finish.We only had four hours because of our schedule. He recommended seven, and I can see why. It was still a good experience, but more time would have been optimal.It came out better than I expected, and it truly feels like something I created.

We had a Hen party for my daughter prior to her destination wedding. We had 12 women participating in the jewelry class. We all had a wonderful time. Stephen and Maria were so professional throughout the entire session. They were very patient, knowledgable, and helped us all through the process.

I was so fortunate to have been invited to Artlab for a ring making class with Stephen. Whilst staying near Todi to celebrate the wedding of a good friend, this unique class was arranged by the brides mom to celebrate her daughter’s nuptials. It was a really beautiful gathering of a dozen women who spent about 5 hours together in Stephens studio learning how to make a silver ring as a memento of our time in Italy together . Stephen is a patient and gifted teacher who managed to have us all leave his studio with beautiful silver rings that were absolutely gorgeous. The Artlab studio itself is a beautiful space that would make any class held here feel special.Highly recommended this studio and Stephen if you want to arrange a very special and memorable day with friends . Would also be wonderful for a mother daughter date or for an engaged couple wanting to make wedding bands for each other .

This was a wonderful experience! Stephen is not only extremely knowledgeable and a good teacher, he pays attention to his guests requests and goes out of his way to be accommodating. Had a lovely time.
