We had a fantastic snorkeling tour at the Puerto Morelos Reef today, and Fran was an excellent guide! He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the reef, pointing out vibrant corals, colorful fish, and even sea turtles. Fran made sure our group had a great time, keeping everything safe, fun, and well-paced for everyone—from beginners to pros.What impressed us most was his passion for reef protection. He shared eco-friendly tips, like avoiding contact with marine life, showing he truly cares about preserving this beautiful spot. Highly recommend Fran for an unforgettable experience!

Booked direct via Xel ha website. The Xel ha bus picked us up on time from our hotel in playa del Carmen. We took 45 minutes to get there. Brilliant host telling us all the do’s and don'ts enroute. Park is spotless. Towels available for free. Head for the red zone because this is central. Lockers are free. Suncream is banned apart from reef friendly brands. Snorkels included, scanned out and in by your wrist band. Restaurants good quality and drinks brilliant. We had 9.5 hour day here and loved every minute! Beach shoes a must. Ladies/girls wear some shorts, much more comfy with the life jacket strap between your legs.

Loved the snorkeling- picked up on time from hotel- Charlie Brown and frank were most organized crew. All had to attend tequila tasting- not in original plans. Lunch was just ok because tacos were cold and only allowed to stop at “authorized store” on way to lunch. After lunch had to sit there for at least 45 min to an hour before van picked us up.

Great experience overall, beautiful park and installations. My only concerns were, 1: the station to refill your water bottle around the park is not cold. With this heat drinking hot water is not fun. 2: tons of snacks bars around but they only offer chips and sodas, no sandwiches, pizzas, hotdogs, fries, fruits, nothing, just prepackaged processed food. The variety of food in this area, besides the specialty restaurants, is very minimal. We didn’t bring anything with us thinking that we would find something substantial to eat before our dinner, so it was a little disappointing, good thing we find a bread house and a coffee shop. That is why I don’t give them a 5 stars.

Amazing experience, you do not need to buy wet shoes really, we used our sliders/flip flops and used the flippers for the river and snorkling as they were included in our package - take towels and change of clothes for evening show! Was a long day, but well worth it.

It is not worth spending so much money for what there is to see because there are many extras that are not included after paying what you pay and they are very expensive, also the water in the photos looks crystal clear and turquoise blue and it is not like that at all, it is green, it is a shame honestly.
