Awesome ride
It was loads of fun and we had really good weather for this ride. Our driver, Remi, was very informative and had a good sense of humor. He had a good perspective on historical events. We toured the British sector, Gold beach, which we hadn’t seen yet and it’s always an eye-opener to see these things in person. My only regret is that we took the two hour tour and not the four hour tour. It seemed to end too quickly.

What a great experience driving on the beautiful, clean, scenic roads of Normandy! Our guide, Nicolas, was easy-going and enthusiastic in his delivery (but not fake) of interesting history along the route. Some flowers were blooming - you could smell them from time to time. The Calvados farm produces in the authentic old style, so this felt very special! The bonus of the trip was all of the other tourists who were stopping to smile at us in our retro cycle set-up as we wove our way through Honfleur’s old stone streets. Highly recommend.

We Started off with our tour guide john picking us up at exactly the time stated at our hotel in bayeux. He then said the tours for 3.5 hours then asked me what i wanted from the tour and where i wanted to go which caught me by Suprise as i thought it was a set tour but i got to choose what i wanted from it within the time frame which was great, So we went to arromanches 360 then to gold beach see the mulberry harbour then the sherman tank then we went onto the gun batterie and longues sur mer, we then went to the port en bessin and From there we went to omaha beach and the bunker then finished the tour off at the omaha American war cemetery. All in was a great trip john was very knowledgeable talking me and my daughter through the history and pointing sights out and showing us pictures .The bike was a great feature to the trip really made us feel like we were soldiers zipping down the country lanes, johns a great rider and we never felt unsafe or in danger at anytimeThe trip made things I've seen in films and books come to life it was great i would do it again in a heartbeat if i ever go anywhere that retro tours operate in the future il be sure To book a tour with themThank you for a memorable trip john

Best Excursion We've Ever Booked — Worth Every Penny for the Sidecars
We paid a little extra so we could each ride in our own sidecar with two separate drivers, and it was worth every penny. The drive from the port through Le Havre and across the bridge was exciting and beautiful.We've been on over 50 cruises with several cruise lines and have booked many excursions through Cool Destinations over the years — this is, by far, the best one we've ever done. As we talked with our drivers along the way, they modified the route to show us things we were personally interested in, which made the whole experience feel custom-tailored.The Calvados tasting was amazing, and the charcuterie we purchased to nibble on paired perfectly with it.One tip: as with any motorcycle/sidecar ride, bring light layers and a windbreaker or light rain jacket. We changed layers several times throughout the ride as conditions shifted.

What a great tour and enthusiastic pair of guides. Rémy led the tour across the city of Honfleur and surrounding countryside showing us many interesting places. From churches to scenic byways, to a great Ciderie near the end if the tour, it was a great afternoon. We loved the sidecar tour and would definitely do it again.

Fantastic Sidecar Tour of D-Day Sites and Countryside
This was our favorite tour experience by far. Riding the motorcycle and sidecar through the quiet backroads of Normandy felt like going back in time. Our guide, Thierry, knew the area and the history and took us to the bunkers and turrets above Omaha Beach at a place not easily accessible by car so we enjoyed it alone before returning to the lower beach other other stops. I’d highly recommend this experience and Thierry is an excellent and safe driver, the sidecar is comfortable, and riding on the back of the motorcycle is too. (My teen son and I swapped spots at times.) Thierry has rain gear (it had rained before our ride), gloves, helmets, etc. I would definitely take this tour and so much better than being in a minivan or car for a private tour. Thank you, it was fantastic!

It was a great immersion in historical events and an opportunity to see legendary sites! Very informative and interesting. Travelling on historic motorcycle models allows you to further immerse yourself in history and enjoy the picturesque local landscapes. Two and a half hours went by unnoticed. The tour was particularly enjoyable for my teenage children. Thank you!
