Natalie was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable! This is definitely an adventure to be had while visiting Hoonah!!

I can't say enough about Natalie and her guided tour. This was the absolute highlight of our trip to Alaska with me and my son. We hiked for about 20 minutes to the most serene spot and fishing was simply incredible! Pretty much caught them every cast. We caught so many Salmon we decided to try and catch a few trout and did that as well. Simply amazing trip and thank you Natalie!

This was an amazing fishing trip! We caught several halibut and a few other fish that we threw back. Captain Herm was very helpful! Showed us what to do and let us go. If we needed any help (and I did!) he was right there. We ended up shipping about 10 lbs of halibut home. Lots of laughs and good time!

Our guides were amazing! My child got scared with some big waves, so they pulled out some coloring books and moved the boat to gentler waters. We still caught 4 halibut!

We had a great time with Eric and Alice! They were very knowledgeable and helpful. While fishing we saw otters, porpoises and more which was a great bonus!

An Unforgettable Hoonah adventure in Icey Strait, AK with NatVentures!What an absolutely excellent experience! Our family group of fourteen, including our 2 year old, had an incredible day in Hoonah with Natalie Vaz, owner of NatVentures, along with her additional guides, Chris and Gavin. With such a large group, we were especially impressed by how attentive, knowledgeable, and energetic all three guides were throughout the entire excursion.We hiked through a beautiful Alaskan forest down to the river, where everyone was provided waders — even our 2-year-old! From the very first cast, the fishing was fantastic. Everyone caught plenty of fish, and Chris, Gavin, and Natalie worked tirelessly, hustling up and down the river with their nets to scoop up and carefully unhook fish after fish. Almost everything was released, with the exception of the fish Natalie kept and later cooked for us in a nearby park. Freshly caught Alaskan fish prepared for our family was the perfect ending to an already amazing day!Natalie also knew that seeing bears was high on our wish list. Because she understood our time constraints with the cruise ship, she made sure we had the opportunity to look for them after we had enjoyed plenty of fishing. Before hiked up and back through the beautiful Hoonah forest, we waded along the river and, unbelievably, saw six bears right there in the river fishing for their own food! Watching them in their natural environment was an absolute thrill and a memory our family will never forget.We have been to Alaska eight times and have experienced some truly outstanding excursions, so we have a lot to compare it to. Without hesitation, NatVentures is hands down one of the very best experiences our family has ever had. Natalie, Chris, and Gavin went above and beyond to make sure everyone — from our 2-year-old to the grandparents — had an amazing time.This is an experience our entire family will be talking about and reminiscing over for years to come. We had A wonderful day river fishing in Alaska with Gavin. It was great to have a local take us to spots that tourist typically wouldn't know to access. Gavin was extremely knowledgeable and extremely patient with all of us. We are a family of five there were several times where our rods needed to be untangled or re-hooked and he was patient and prepared. Gavin was extremely knowledgeable about fishing and also everything Alaska. After fishing he took us to a beautiful lake area where we were able to look for bears and he had five binoculars for us to use. I would highly recommend booking this experience

Captain Eric and Alice were amazing! Alice told us as soon as she met us that this was going to be the highlight of our trip. She was right!! They were such gracious and friendly hosts on their boat. They were as excited about catching the fish as we were! We truly had an amazing experience and even brought some hats and sweatshirts back home. Kiss the Fish

We had a terrific time with Capt Eric and Alice. My family booked a 4 hr trip with Ear Mountain Charters as part of our Alaskan cruise. The fishing charter was a highlight of our trip. Myself, three adult kids, and two grandkids ages 13 & 11 all had a great time and caught a lot of fish. Capt Eric knew where the fish were biting and made sure we enjoyed the trip. Eric and Alice are both teachers and were absolutely wonderful with the grandkids. In addition to all of us bringing in some large halibut, the Capt brought us to a pod of whales that were incredible to watch. Both Capt Eric and Alice went out of their way to make sure everyone was satisfied with the trip and provided good balance between fishing and sightseeing. The boat and gear provided were clean and well maintained. I recommend this charter without reservation and hope to have the opportunity to enjoy time with Eric and Alice in the future.

Our family of five (with kids aged 4 -10 years old) was looking for a wilderness experience to allow us to enjoy what we came to Alaska for, a retreat in nature without a crowd. NatVenture Tours delivered. Natalie picked us up at the port and we drove a short distance to the dock. On route by boat to our private fishing location, our boys spotted humpback whales “bubble-net feeding” in the distance. Natalie was quick to divert our route so we could watch this incredible event up close. Once at our fishing location Natalie was an experienced and patient advisor, teaching our ten year old how to fly fish for the first time. Many fish were caught, multiple bears were spotted, and an unforgettable memory was shared by all. Cannot recommend this tour enough.

We had an amazing fishing experience with NatVenture Tours. The fishing was great sport and the whole morning was more than we could have hoped for - a proper bucket list activity for us.Our guide Gavin was brilliant. He was so passionate about the area and the wildlife and location. He really made the experience so much more enjoyable.I highly recommend this

What an experience fishing with Nat. My wife and I asked for a private charter which Nat agreed. She took us into the deep bush of Alaska to fish a stream. What a beautiful experience that you can only dream about. Five stars did this trip no justice.

Had a great experience with our guides. They were excellent at giving us gear and helping us with advice. We hiked out to our spot, fished, hiked back, ate the fish we caught, and even got to watch the bald eagles enjoy the scraps.

Gavin and Natalie were great. Such an unforgettable experience.

Amazing experience, my group of 7 guys, all family, had the best time with them on our stop during our cruise. We caught multiple fish and had great instruction as first time fly fishermen. We even surprised Natalie with the amount of fish we could all eat!

This was the highlight of our entire Alaska trip! My boys had a blast! Chris was very knowledgeable and even cooked some of the fish we caught afterwards for us to have lunch!
