Athens Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This was a great trip with lots of things to see and do. Mycene, Nafplio and Epidaurus are great places to visit. And there even was a short stop at the Korinth Canal.The guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. Gave a lot of interesting information about (ancient) Greece. And drove very pleasantly.

This tour was a fantastic introduction to Greek food culture, along with the sights and sounds of the city. Our guide, Peter, did an amazing job, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny throughout.We enjoyed traditional Greek pastry pies, Greek coffee, followed by a traditional Greek lunch at a taverna. We also really enjoyed the company of Peter and the other guests on the tour.We highly recommend this tour if you want a delicious, fun way to experience Athens.

Excellent tour guide Paddy from Theodore Travel. His expertise and knowledge of Greece and the sites that we visited was awesome. Dinner back at Athens was very authentic Greek food.

Roads in Athens can be very bumpy so be prepared for a bumpy ride! Great tour that covers lots of Athens must sees.

The selection and variety of food was great, our host was fabulous, and this is a a great way to see the "inside" of Athens.

Yiannis was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable and easy to interact with. It was like being driven around by a friend.

Julia (and George) were amazing! Teaching all the Greek culture and eating delicious food along the way. We saw sights we would have not normally went to on our own like the fish and meat market and the store with the different spices. One of the highlights of our trip to Athens! Thank you Julia!

We thoroughly enjoyed this, it was funny while also providing some historic Greek stories. The outdoor venue was perfect with the Parthenon lit up behind. Blankets are provided, which came in useful when we had some lite rain for a short while.

Great tour guide from Australia..

Andreas provided a casual, but knowledgeable tour of several venues around Athens, where we were able to taste lots of different items. Don't go with a full stomach as you will not have room for all the delicious food! A highlight for me was a visit to a traditional Taverna where we ate several dishes which were all excellent. Afterwards we received an email with a list of recipes and photos taken on the evening. A very worthwhile tour and Andreas was excellent

It was very interesting, and we learned a lot of history about the food and culture. We left very full and satisfied!! Our tour guide Joe was friendly and easy to make conversation!

This is a great tour to do on the first day. Recommend to take this day on day 1. You learn about various points of interest and you get to experience Athens traffic in a Tuk Tuk! Joseph was our guide and he was fantastic for our 3 hour tour. A great guide for the Athens tour. Highly recommend this tour.

Joseph took us on the Tuk Tuk tour on the first day we arrived in Athens. His enthusiasm and energy was amazing. You could feel his love for the city based on how excited he was to tell us about Athens. It was such a great way to get an overview of the city and learn some core information about the city. I would recommend this to anyone.

We really enjoyed the seaside e-bike tour with Kostas. Kostas was a very pleasant guide. It was a relaxed ride to the coast with time for a swim—a wonderful, different perspective on Athens. On the way back, we fueled up with the best *bougatsa* we’ve ever had. We gained great insights into the Athenian way of life and got ideas for further exploring the city. Great way to experience a show with a night time view of the Acropolis. You get a choice of wine and water.

Spyros was a great guide and driver! He picked up and dropped off my sisters, nieces and me right at our door. He was informative, interesting, patient, personable. Spyros knew so much about our Meteora tour and made the long drive there and back comfortable.
