The Spirit of Mexico: Tequila Tasting
Overview
We are the Mexican Spirits Club, a group of friends who share a deep passion for spirits that have been crafted in Mexico since ancient times. Our club is located in downtown La Paz, where we gather once or twice a week to indulge in tastings and pairings of unique craft spirits from various regions of the country. Our tastings include a variety of 6 certified Mexican spirits with designation of origin, such as tequila, mezcal, Sotol, raicilla, Bacanora, and Charanda, sourced from different states in Mexico. During each tasting session, we delve into discussions about the production process, history, flavors, and techniques for identifying different notes in each spirit. By participating in our tastings, you will gain valuable insights on how to detect aromas and flavors, ultimately refining your palate and becoming an expert taster.
Please note that this activity is exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

What To Expect
Come and become an expert taster and learn more about Mexico and it's cultural diversity through its ancestral distillates! Then this unique experience is for you. We will meet in Mexican style boutique in the heart of downtown, where our Mexican Spirits Club is located and there we will do the tequila tasting in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere with traditional Mexican music in the background. We will try more than 6 types of tequila with designation of origin from different states in Mexico, their elaboration procedure and origin.
First we will head to the state of Jalisco with its famous Tequilas.
Lastly we will go to our state, Baja with its damiana liquor and a dessert pairing chocolate liquor with ice cream, both handcrafted tequila based. The activity lasts 45 min- 1 hour and is an experience that will be perfect to spend a pleasant time enjoying in-depth knowledge and becoming an expert taster, as well as meeting with other visitors.
