Top Kos Sailing Trips

What an honour it was to be on-board this beautiful sailing boat which was clearly lovingly taken care of. The captain personally introduced himself to us and it wasn’t too long before we met the lovely lady crew member. We were made to feel so welcome and knew that the trip was going to be the relaxing excursion that we wanted. There was plenty of space on deck for everyone to grab a spot, hanker down towels and enjoy the beautiful views. I believe there were only 5 other couples with us so it really was a very intimate experience. The vibe was so chilled with no ‘banging’ music and once the sails were hoisted, at certain parts of our journey, no engine noise could even be heard. We had the opportunity to leave the boat at our two stops and it was fantastic to swim in the beautifully, clear sea. Bread was thrown in by the captain and other guests and there were fish aplenty to be seen swimming to the surface to grab a bite – absolutely fabulous! At the first stop, my husband and I swam to the little island and enjoyed sitting on the rocks there and watching the fish in the rock pools. Throughout the sailing, the lady crew member would give us plenty of information about the different islands we passed and highlighted the island which housed the Greek army. She was full of knowledge and was so willing to share this with us and other guests on-board. Now lunch … superb! We all sat around a table and shared lunch together – it was really utterly mouth-watering. The moussaka was so tasty, the bread so fresh, tzatziki delicious as were the other side dishes which accompanied our meal – all washed down with a choice of beer, wine or soft drinks. The coconut Greek-Turkish delight was very good too. Thank you for all the effort you put in to fill our tummies! 😊 Your hospitality was very much appreciated – thank you. Would we do this trip again – absolutely YES! Would we recommend this trip to our friends and family who frequent Kos often – absolutely YES! It was totally worth the money we spent – we would not change anything about it. Again, thank you very much for a fantastic day out at sea.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear turquoise waters by the islands and seeing the fish. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable and there were only about another 7 couples on the trip, everyone got on well and had there own space aswell during the sailing. We were also lucky enough to see a dolphin jump out of the sea! The crew were very friendly, informative and entertaining and the food was delicious, drinks were plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful time, the day flew by from 09:00- 16:15 and we would absolutely recommend this experience, well worth the cost!

We had a fabulous day on the catamaran trip. The crossing to Pserimos was a little bumpy which added to the excitement ( we got pretty wet from spray ! )We had two stops on the island for swimming with the second stop being a longer one for swimming then a fantastic Greek lunch followed by more swimming and sunbathing before the return trip to Kos.The crew were fantastic, friendly, welcoming and fun.

A fantastic day. We visited 2 small coves and sailed for around 90 minutes each way. Then spent the rest of the time relaxing at anchor. The 2 places we went to were beautifal, blue seas and plenty of fish to snorkel through. The 2 members of staff were brilliant, funny and knowledgeable, both knew a lot and answered questions about thr area and the trip. Lunch was a lovely homemade greek style food, more than enough for us all. There was 13 people on the yacht, varied nationalities and a mix of groups and couples.Would highly recommend, a good day out and would do it again.

Great day out for a family with 3 stops at amazing locations, not often you get to see a volcano and snorkel on the same day!

Fantastic day out, "Little Santorini" far exceeded my expectations. What a stunning place. Our guide for the day, Manoli, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Had gyros at a beach side restaurant, lovely food and view. Not wanting to put pictures or too much info as it would spoil the "ahhh" moment. Would totally recommend.

If you're considering visiting Nisyros, do it. It was easily one of the highlights of our holiday. Most people visit for the volcano, and rightly so. Standing inside Stefanos Crater is an incredible experience. The sulphur smell is only really noticeable once you reach the crater itself, not throughout the island as some visitors expect. It's definitely there, but nowhere near as overwhelming as many people imagine. What surprised us more was the heat. Standing inside the crater, you can actually feel warmth through the soles of your shoes. The yellow staining across the crater floor is sulphur deposited by escaping volcanic gases, a constant reminder that this volcano is still very much alive. One piece of advice: don't touch the steam vents. We watched another visitor reach towards one, seemingly forgetting that the steam is being heated by volcanic activity beneath the surface. The warning signs are there for a reason. The information boards also explain that if Nisyros erupts again, it is more likely to be through a gas or steam explosion than a dramatic lava flow, which makes standing in the crater feel even more surreal.Beyond the volcano, however, the true heart of Nisyros is its people. The villages are absolutely beautiful. Narrow stone alleyways weave between traditional houses, hidden archways open into tiny courtyards, and every corner seems to reveal another view of the sea, the castle above, or a beautifully maintained home filled with flowers and character. Unlike some Greek islands that can feel overly commercialised, Nisyros feels authentic, lived-in and loved. What stood out most was the pride the local people have in their island. Everyone we met was kind, welcoming and genuinely passionate about sharing their home. Whether explaining the volcano, recommending local dishes, sharing island history or helping visitors find their way, there was a warmth and authenticity that made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was another highlight.Make sure you try: • The cinnamon syrup. • The almond syrup. • The tomato jam, which sounds unusual but is absolutely delicious. • The local cheese starters and traditional island dishes.A special mention goes to Koukouzina, which we would highly recommend. The food was fantastic, but more importantly it embodied everything we loved about Nisyros: traditional flavours, genuine hospitality and a sense of local pride that you simply cannot manufacture.Don't be afraid to ask questions. Some of our favourite moments came from chatting with local people whose knowledge, pride and passion for their island turned a simple visit into something far more memorable than we expected. One mystery we still haven't solved is the cave on the road up to the volcano. It's signposted, appears on maps and seems to extend underground. If anyone knows its history or has found any information about it, we'd love to learn more.Nisyros isn't the place to visit if you're looking for nightlife and crowds. It's a place for people who appreciate history, geology, traditional culture, beautiful villages and genuine human kindness. We arrived expecting a volcano. We left talking about the people.

A very nice excursion, ideal for slowing down and enjoying the nature, charm, and flair of Greece 🇬🇷☀️.

No frills trip. Boat journey, bus to crater and return trip. A German tourist guide who was nothing to do with the paid for journey gave us some brief commentary in English which was a bonus. Well worth the trip with no problems encountered.

Before sunset we usually dock in a small port where you can try the local cuisine! We have been sailing in the Mediterranean for several years, we love the bays with very few boats, the long swims exploring the seabed, the sweet afternoon navigation, the aperitifs at sunset and the warm welcome of the Greeks! Our weeks on a sailing boat have very relaxing rhythms with 2/3 hours of navigation per day: in the morning Luciana prepares a rich breakfast and after coffee we set off to drop anchor in a splendid bay where we can swim, snorkel or lie in the sun on the comfortable cushions at the bow reading a book or simply enjoying the wonderful view. For lunch we usually choose a different bay, a dive and we will be ready to enjoy a light and tasty meal in the cockpit perhaps accompanied by a good fresh wine! In the afternoon, wind permitting, we set sail and everyone takes part in the maneuvers. It is a fantastic way to do a bit of sport and learn to sail, Renato will be happy to leave you the helm and teach you the perfect adjustment of the jib and mainsail! Before sunset we usually dock in a small port on one of the islands on our itinerary. The villages of the Greek islands are always great to visit and the Greek taverns serve delicious and cheap food. With the right conditions we will also sleep in a quiet and sheltered bay... aperitif at sunset and dinner under the stars!✨ The days are never the same during a sailing holiday, there is always something interesting to visit: a temple, an ancient settlement, sometimes a scenic walk, a monastery with a spectacular view, a particularly renowned tavern or the fascinating old towns (chora), mazes of alleys and blindingly white houses! It is difficult to get bored but everyone can choose their own pace and maybe enjoy total laziness!

Beautiful experience. Unforgettable day. Well organized excursion so you can enjoy every site. Nice pirate ship.

From start to finish the experience was second to none. From inquiring to ultimately returning from the day aboard the boat. Staff I booked through where tentative and made things clear and well put. However the crew on the Catamaran were quite simply second to non. They were a-tentative catered to all our needs in the party of 8. From drinks to food to safety they had it all covered. Yes it’s expensive but worth every penny to be on a private trip even the music on board was a good choice. Highly recommended .

We had a lovely day with Sail Kos - highly recommend if you are looking for a small group sail. Petra was amazing. Informative and helpful. The food was excellent. We went swimming in 2 beautiful coves off of Pserimos. We sailed some on the way there and back. We’re always happy when we get to sail and not motor sail. It was a wonderful day!
