Top Zakynthos Sailing Trips

We just finished our week aboard Eros, and I would like to share a few thoughts and suggestions:We had Captain George and the entire crew— incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout the week. They work extremely hard from early morning until late at night, yet were always smiling and ready to help. Everyone spoke English.A special mention has to go to Chef Morsy. The food was excellent, and I was genuinely impressed by the variety and complexity of the dishes he managed to prepare every day, especially considering he was working from a small boat kitchen. We had different dishes and flavors throughout the week, and everything was beautifully prepared. I even got a couple recipes from him 🙂When we were in port, Captain George or one of the crew would also pick up fresh local bread for breakfast whenever it was available, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our cabin was tidied every day - crew constantly worked on keeping everything clean.I rented a SUP for the week, and at every swimming stop guys would have it in the water for me without ever having to ask. It may sound like a small thing, but it perfectly describes the level of attention from the crew.A few practical tips for future guests: We traveled in mid-September and still purchased the overnight A/C package. Plan for this expense — you will want it, especially if you’re traveling during the summer. These are traditional wooden gulets and the cabins can trap an incredible amount of heat.Pack light. The cabins are very compact and there isn’t much room for large luggage. A carry-on was plenty for a week and made life onboard much easier.Also throw a couple of clothespins into your bag! You’ll constantly have swimsuits and towels drying outside, and the clips mean you don’t have to worry about them flying away while the boat is moving or when the wind picks up.Rent a SUP- it will allow you to get close to the beach and explore shoreline while boat is anchored for a swim stop.We also did the Ithaca island excursion, which Captain George organized flawlessly for us. If you’re considering paying for one excursion during the cruise, this is the one I would personally choose. In just a few hours we saw a wonderful part of the island, learned so much about Ithaca’s history, and stopped at some absolutely beautiful viewpoints. It added a lot to our experience and was a great use of our limited time in port.A huge thank you to Captain George, Morsy, Ahmed, Mido and Magdy for taking such wonderful care of us. Eros has an EXCEPTIONAL crew, and they absolutely made this vacation special for us!

A great relaxing holiday on the Aphrodite with a nice crew. We went to some beautiful bays for swimming. The food was very good too.

Ask for Mr. Costa as your skipper! Him and and his wife went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing trip! The Keri caves are absolutely stunning!

We will certainly be back to Zakynthos thanks in large part to such a wonderful tour. We came on a cruise ship and only had a short day there, but Jhon helped us see so many places in little time we had. We laughed with him the entire time while he showed us the beautiful scenery and taught us about the islands history. Absolutely recommend him and this service. Thank you all for making our vacation special!

Fantastic trip around the north part of the island. Stopping off for 2 swim stops and fantastic photo opportunities along the way to see the shipwreck and blue caves. The ship was great with all the on board facilities you need.

My father and I had a fantastic week onboard. Maria and Apostolis were very professional and very welcoming. Apostolis cooking was very very good. And Maria was a wonderful hostess. We enjoyed meeting other guests and sharing meals together

This trip was top of my bucket list. We sailed on Hemera and the crew were fantastic and looked after our every need. They were also very happy and provided us with good food and entertainment.

Best boat trip on ionian sea recomanded. By Juan the best Cool Destinations you will ever get. Very nice guy

We had a lovely time touring Greece with the tour. Juan was a great host, and the trip was exactly as described. Would definitely go again, the caves, water, boat and whole trip will be remembered by us forever. Thank you Olympic Tours x

Bit of a nightmare with the pick up arrangement with this one plus original trip cancelled due to bad weather so obtaining correct ticket hard work too no Turtles’s due to weather day before but exceptionally beautiful trip nevertheless

Slightly chaotic but that seems to be the norm here 😆 i cant argue that it isnt a glass bottom boat as there is a small piece of glass down in the hull, just wasn't quite what we were expecting. But over all we had a great day! We were looking forward to getting some education on the turtles as the advert describes, but unfortunately we didnt get this. But we did see a turtle and enjoyed all parts of the trip. I would recommend booking through the shop when you arrive, we booked through Cool Destinations and, after talking to other families on the trip, realised we paid 3x more than everyone else. John was in touch with me to make sure we were picked up and comfortable wich was perfect. The boat crew were all lovely and friendly. Also very impressed with the bus driver who was calm and skillful in such a chaotic environment.

A little poorly organised, we wanted collecting but only found out last minute that was not possible even after many times asking, once advised the details were given in full and were ok. There are no real cool or shaded waiting areas at the port, you hv to walk up the hill to the restaurant. The trip was great, we saw a turtle. Sea swimming was good, but be warned you get left in turtle island, the boat pulls off the beach, no facilities on the island no shade no seats. The bost has no shower food or drink. The boat was very stable. Comfortable and had some shade

We had a fantastic sailing experience on the Aphrodite! Our crew were amazing; particularly our chief Steward Hamdi, his second, Mahmoud, and are amazing chef, Mohamed. The food was so delicious I was compelled to ask for recipes which were offered with a big smile! We visited many unique swimming coves, saw wild pigs on their own beach, visited numerous charming ports, and had a very positive social experience with our fellow shipmates. My only criticism is regarding cabin temperature which may be beyond anyone’s control. While we added the nighttime A/C and had a strong fan, sleeping often required absolute stillness to avoid sweating! Sleep up top if you feel comfortable doing so! This was a great adventure filled with fun and spectacular sights only made better by our delightful, caring, and supportive crew!

An Outstanding Cruise Experience on the Gulet Boat ValerieWe had a wonderful experience aboard the Valerie, sailing from Zante to Kefalonia, Meganisi and Ithaca. With 11 guests and 4 crew, the trip exceeded our expectations.The excellent food was a highlight, with generous, varied breakfasts and delicious lunches prepared with great care by Apostolis and Maria.The cabins were tidy, comfortable and exceptionally clean, providing a relaxing space after each day of exploring.Most of all, the captain and crew were warm, friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed, sociable atmosphere. Captain Apostolis, Maria made us all feel especially welcome.Overall, the Valerie offered outstanding food, comfortable cabins and a fantastic crew. We highly recommend Zante and the Valerie, and would happily cruise with them again.

2nd cruise with Sail in Greece. Zante Cruise excellent, Gullet clean, staff welcoming and hard working. Special mention to Hamndi, who went above and beyond. Ensured us less agile passengers had a swim, beach visit, etc. His communication skills ensuring all passengers are always happy with stops, excursions, etc. Food excellent. I would say a dish of meat and fish each day would be better instead of just one choice. However, so well cooked, amazing salads, rice dishes, meat dishes, etc. All freshly cooked all followed with a variety of fruit. Excellent bar skills from H----- apologies, not sure of spelling. Cabins are Cabins, not hotel bedrooms. They are cleaned daily. Excellent linen. Fans air-conditioning etc. However it is a cabin so storage is not that of a hotel. Take little luggage. Everyone manages with swimwear, shirts, shorts and a couple of evening tops/dresses. Honestly, so much swimming sun bathing, its hot. My tip take a little. Things rinse and dry overnight. The Captain is very polite and smiling, however, very little Engish. This is why Hamndi (apologies again for spelling) did such sterling work overseeing all the crew and amazing caring communication skills. Such an asset to Sail in Greece.

Fabulous 7 nights aboard the Gulet Aphrodite. The crew led by Hamdy were excellent, attentive and fun. Amazing onboard food buffet selection and quality. You must try it all. Beautiful Ionian islands, bays and places to visit. Please be aware that travelling in August the below deck accommodation stays very warm all day and night. Highly recommend paying the fee for Aircon 24x7.
