My hubs and I loved this tour and the tour guide ! Gerry really went out of his way to show us various neighborhoods (this was a walking/eating tour) and their history. He made a point of taking to have traditional Irish food . I have to be honest the seafood chowder at Busker's is Delicious (please go there)! I would absolutely recommend taking a tour with Gerry..he's wonderful !!

Exceeded my expectations!
Exceeded my expectations! I fell In love with Irish scones and brown bread last year in Ireland. We are back visiting Ireland again and this class was my number one activity on my bucket list. My homemade scones have been like hockey pucks. We learned the art of fluffy scones ! And the brown bread was dense, flavorful, - delicious!! Enjoyed our time with the other guests. And Kate is an inspiration and delight. Like having a wonderful afternoon having tea and baking with a good friend.

Our walking food tour with Gerry was fantastic. It seemed as though we were visiting a long lost cousin when we first met him. It was comfortable and easy. The places we went and the food we tasted were great. These were places that we would have missed being on our own. It was nice to have someone local and knowledgeable about the Galway scene to hang out with for a few hours. We highly recommend Gerry’s tour.

Good Eats in Ireland
My daughter and I were greeted by Kate who brought us into her well-equipped kitchen. We introduced ourselves, had a little small talk and got to work preparing an authentic Irish stew. Everyone had their job and were supervised by Kate. Once the stew was cooking we started on the scones and bread. Everything moved quite smoothly stew, breads, and conversation. Once done we sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labor in Kate’s beautiful dining room. We enjoyed every bite. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous experience, Im a manual wheelchair user and worried if I would be able to get everywhere - I absolutely could. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave us just enough information without overwhelming us. The length and pace of the tour was perfect and we were able to enjoy so many treats along the way. Its obvious the passion the guide had for Ireland and Westport and was lovely to see.

Kate did a great job teaching us to make traditional Irish stew as well as making two loaves of brown bread and scones. We got to meet Paul as he repaired the cooker and Kate's summer helper Madison. We took away several great recipes. We would highly recommend attending Kate's classes.
