Exceeded my expectations! I fell In love with Irish scones and brown bread last year in Ireland. We are back visiting Ireland again and this class was my number one activity on my bucket list. My homemade scones have been like hockey pucks. We learned the art of fluffy scones ! And the brown bread was dense, flavorful, - delicious!! Enjoyed our time with the other guests. And Kate is an inspiration and delight. Like having a wonderful afternoon having tea and baking with a good friend.

Such a wonderful experience. Kate was a delightful host. We had the best time and met some lovely couples. We will definitely be making scones and brown bread back home 🏠 n Tennessee! Highly recommended!!!

My daughter and I were greeted by Kate who brought us into her well-equipped kitchen. We introduced ourselves, had a little small talk and got to work preparing an authentic Irish stew. Everyone had their job and were supervised by Kate. Once the stew was cooking we started on the scones and bread. Everything moved quite smoothly stew, breads, and conversation. Once done we sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labor in Kate’s beautiful dining room. We enjoyed every bite. Very highly recommended.

Kate did a great job teaching us to make traditional Irish stew as well as making two loaves of brown bread and scones. We got to meet Paul as he repaired the cooker and Kate's summer helper Madison. We took away several great recipes. We would highly recommend attending Kate's classes.

Literally a woman’s house outside Galway. Takes 40+ minutes in traffic coming from the city. Living on scones and brown bread for days after.

Kate was just lovely❤️From the minute she greeted us (Randy and Darla) at the purple door and invited us in her home to the very end when she gave us our baked goods to go—it was a fun, “cheeky” afternoon where we met three other people for a shared baking experience. We made any scone of our choice—-(cinnamon and nuts for me and blueberry for Randy) and made Irish soda breads—one being snelt bread. Kate was skilled in her technique and quick with her humor and wit. We also left with the recipes and made new friends. We highly recommend the experience!! Thanks again Kate🙏❤️

The cooking session is in Kate's beautiful home and was a fabulous experience! Her chef experience and knowledge is quite impressive which made it more than just cooking off a recipe. After our baking, we sat at her table overlooking her beautiful garden. She has specialty jams available as well and we went home with a recipe pamplet as well as our scones and bread.

We have enjoyed the Irish brown bread during our visit and wanted to learn how to make it. We did in an engaging an fun environment. Highly recommended.

This was one stop on our trip to Ireland that I absolutely HAD to do. We were very excited because I love a baked good. We accidentally got our time wrong and arrived twenty minutes late! But Kate was kind enough to take us anyway and didn't make us feel rushed. We still got to do BOTH scone making and brown bread. We made two flavors of scones, blueberry and almond/pear (she let us pick). We had a nice time talking with Kate and she even was giving us suggestions for the area. After we finished baking we enjoyed eating some of our treats on the patio with some tea. She gave us a bag to carry out the rest (which we nibbled on throughout the rest of our trip). We also got recipe cards to take home. I am excited to bake these scones at home!

We had a great experience baking scones and brown bread at Kate’s! We learned her technique of mixing the ingredients while taking about local customs and events! They put up with our many questions and need to turn the scone baking into a competition! We had a fabulous afternoon!

Kate is so lovely in welcoming strangers into her home to share her love of cooking, baking, and Ireland. I was overwhelmed walking into a room full of strangers and within minutes we were all talking like old friends surely in part due to Kate's hospitality. That aside, I love to bake and it's typically a slow and methodical process, but with Kate's expertise, we all made perfect scones and brown bread in what felt like 10 min each! She shared she hosts other events and BnB's her home and I'd recommend visiting with her somehow if the opportunity arises.
