A fun mystery experience. Everyone was able to solve several of the clues so it was fun for all. The tour operator was really good at giving helpful hints but not major clues when needed but not interfering with the process. We did it as a mother daughter outing and fully enjoyed it. The food board we had after we solved the mystery was delicious!!

Leave the car at home, don’t worry about parking, and take transit for a multi-stage adventure that you should plan to make a full day of. Everything is within walking distance and no time limit, so you can explore freely. The puzzles were challenging enough that it took us about 3 hours to complete, although there is a useful hint system if you get stuck. We have done numerous escape rooms and the first puzzle still made us jump to wrong conclusions before the Aha! moment came on. The real world clues were well utilized and made us revisit familiar places with new eyes. This box theme did seem to encourage group participation as it did allow 1-6 different intro puzzles that led to multiple concluding keywords. Overall it was a great way to spend the day and become a tourist in your city.

This was a fun way to spend an afternoon exploring Vancouver with friends. We started out pretty relaxed but the tension grew as the clock was ticking! The puzzles were challenging enough to keep us well occupied and had enough variety in style to ensure that all team members had something to contribute. We would definitely recommend this to other people. It's a must do.

Very fun activity to do with friends! App was intuitive and smooth. We liked that it was super easy for us to connect our phones together via the app and the progress was synced across all devices. The clues were clever and various so we don't feel repetitive although there were over 20 challenges.

We were in Vancouver ahead of a cruise and decided to check out this outdoor Escape Rooms. We are so glad we did. We played both of their games in Granville Island and Gastown. We have completed many escape rooms across the country, but this was our first experience with outdoor escape games. It added an entertaining layer we were not expecting. The puzzles were clever, challenging, and flowed naturally from one to the next.

We had a great time saving Vancouver from a villainous spy group! It's fun way to see a bit of the city including places we didn't know existed. The tasks were laid out well and not so difficult that you couldn't complete it in the 2 hours. We'll definitely try their other games.

I absolutely loved this adventure. I am an avid scavenger hunt participant, and this game was right up my alley.I did have a couple of issues: - The "magic 8" ball leaked, and the plastic viewing piece was fogged and heavily scratched, so we didn't end up using it - One of the cards had a QR code with a sticker that got stuck to it, and we were almost unsure if we would be able to use it (we wet it slightly and were able to figure it out).Things I loved: - The clues were well presented and dynamic. - The use of the outside world added to the overall enjoyment, and the fact that my phone was only used to read some extra story pieces and to write in answers was a perfect addition and allowed me to be present - I love the use of tangible items as well, rather than it all being on the phone only. - The difficulty was not too hard, but it was definitely hard (the hardest one was finding the real world clue that corresponded with the sepia photos)Suggestions for the future: - More of them, please! - Allow for the envelopes to be resealable to be able to play again. I know there was a scratch-off one, so that would need to be changed to something else.

It was great fun!! Highly recommend!!! Got to see the beautiful waterfront while having a fun and challenging game!!

This adventure was a lot of fun. The supporting materials were helpful and the staff member was very friendly and professional. Being an easier type of challenge, we completed it within the allotted timeframe and feel confidant in trying a more challenging adventure in future.

Excellent murder mystery! Lots of fun, kept everyone engaged, so much fun and would definitely recommend. Did as team building event but would also be great to do with a group of friends for an event or just for fun!

It. Was. Amazing!We came up from Seattle for the long Thanksgiving weekend, and I wanted something we could do if we had to wait for our hotel room to be ready. This was absolutely perfect and our favorite thing we did all four days we were in Vancouver. Whenever anyone asks about our trip, we start with the murder mystery, and my friends now think I'm a genius at finding cool things to do.The awesome person who met us stayed in character and was a lot of fun. They explained that the overall puzzle was to figure out how each suspect had tried to kill the victim and who had succeeded at it. To find out, you go on an adventure through the streets of the Gastown district. It's a satisfying mix of self-guided tour and puzzle-solving, and my husband loved that you had to really pay attention to the streets and buildings. Mindfulness was key.Some of the first few puzzles were on the easier side, but they got more challenging as you progressed. Some clues required careful observation. To get the right overall answers, you had to piece together information from different places. The adventure required a certain amount of effort but it never got frustrating or boring. We totally got into the storyline and had a fantastic time. We can't say enough good things about the staff and the experience.12/10, would do another game with them.Love,Team SquirreLlamaOne note: I need a wheelchair to get around sometimes, and the game was very accessible. I had heard good things about Vancouver Mysteries, so I was expecting to enjoy it. That said, it still exceeded my expectations; it was so much fun! Well organized, fast paced and extremely well thought out. The clues were very clever. Challenging as you would expect, but not impossible. You had to brainstorm with your partner and let your ideas flow. Highly recommended!

We signed up for this not knowing what to expect, it was so much cleverer, in-depth and fun than we ever imagined. We met our detective/guide who was terrific - stayed in character while she gave us the story outline and instructions. Then armed with a detective bag of clues and tools we made our way around the streets and alleys of Gastown by following the detailed and sometimes cryptic directions to find the next clue. A LOT of time and thought went into creating the mystery story, it was a really fun and entertaining few hours. Team costumes encouraged and highly recommended! Great for a fun date night, a gang of friends or a work event. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike.

We had such a fun time playing this game. It wasn’t as hard as we thought but it also wasn’t easy. It took us all around the waterfront area, with beautiful views! This was a great adventure and outing for the whole family, including the young ones. Everyone had something to contribute. The game is put together so well! Can’t wait to try the Gastown one! The outdoor escape room was awesome! It had a great story (ghostly theme) and took us to many of the key sights and neighborhoods within walking distance of downtown Vancouver. My tip would be to do the first puzzle before leaving home or your hotel as you don't need any "real-world clues", then start near Gastown/ Waterfront Station. Once you've opened the last clue, you can also take the rest of it home to complete there (or finish up at your leisure in a cafe or bar). We've done a lot of escape rooms and puzzle games, and this one was perfect: not crazy difficult but not too easy, and emphasized walking to different areas of downtown. If you get stuck, just turn to the app for help. Definitely recommend it and would do a different one in another city I was visiting.
