A good experience. A bit chilly in the wind, so bring something to wear if staying outside. Went to both bridges and around alcatraz. Great little adventure.

The gift shop is located right at the entrance, where you can purchase tickets, although buying them online ahead of time is also an option. Even with several families, couples on date outings, and a few solo visitors enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, I was inside within five minutes.One of the highlights of the day was arriving about 15 minutes before the noon butterfly release. Walking into the Butterfly House felt like stepping into another world. Butterflies of every size and color floated gently through the air. Some were as small as a quarter, while others had wings nearly the size of an apple.My favorite was a brilliant blue butterfly outlined in black that gracefully glided throughout the conservatory. If you stand quietly and patiently, many of the butterflies will actually flutter close to you, making the experience feel almost magical.The Butterfly House asks guests to remain quiet and avoid running so the butterflies aren't disturbed, which helps preserve their natural habitat. I also learned that many of the butterflies come from different parts of the world, making the exhibit even more fascinating.One of the most interesting things I discovered was the Atlas moth. Seeing these incredible moths up close was amazing, but learning about them was even more fascinating. They live for only about 100 days and don't eat during their adult life. Their sole purpose is to reproduce before their life cycle comes to an end. I also enjoyed seeing butterfly and moth cocoons and learning about each stage of their development.For families, homeschool groups, or anyone who loves hands-on learning, there are educational activities throughout the gardens. Children can participate in activities like leaf printing, while visitors of all ages can explore exhibits featuring tarantulas, beetles, reptiles, and other fascinating creatures. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.Outside, the gardens are just as breathtaking. Beautiful flowers, native plants, peaceful walking paths, water fountain, and sculptures create the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon. Every plant and butterfly habitat is clearly labeled, making it easy to learn as you explore.It's easy to see why so many people choose these gardens for graduation photos, engagement sessions, weddings, and special occasions. Every corner offers another beautiful backdrop.After exploring, I couldn't help but think how perfect this would be for a picnic. Bring a blanket, pack lunch, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading home.Whether you're planning a family outing, a date, a solo self-care day, or simply looking for something different to do around Dallas, I highly recommend visiting the Texas Discovery Gardens & Butterfly House. It's educational, relaxing, affordable, and full of natural beauty.

I found myself especially moved by the Human Rights section of the museum. Many people have not heard of the many atrocities being committed all over the world today.I especially enjoyed being able to "talk" with the hologram of an Auschwitz survivor. I saw it on television but never thought I can do it too!

I’ve been here before and went specifically to see The Walt Disney Studios and World War II exhibit. I enjoyed the Disney exhibit and it was very educational. I had no idea about Disney’s role in the war efforts. There was a lot of reading and plenty of videos so make sure you allow enough time if you do the special exhibit. I decided to go through the museum again while I was there. The museum is very well done and does a very good job at portraying one of the most horrific periods in history. A highlight is definitely the Dimensions in Testimony Theater. You need to get tickets for this when you check in at the ticket desk – the tickets are included with your admission. You get to hear one of the Holocaust survivor’s story and then you see a hologram of the person while you can ask questions and they respond to your question. It’s like they are in the room with you even though it’s been pre-recorded. It’s very impressive and a must do while you are there!

In this engaging one-man show, Allan traces his journey from a childhood Fisher-Price magic kit to becoming a master illusionist, blending storytelling, technology, and classic sleight of hand.His repertoire is impressively broad: dual levitation, mind-bending digital magic using an iPad, card illusions inspired by the great Cardini, mentalist math, and jaw-dropping feats like a sword piercing glass and making an assistant vanish. One lucky audience member, called on stage, resulted in his "trick" that was mind-reading moment, leaving us genuinely baffled long after the curtain call.Allan’s affable humor and warmth make the show accessible to all ages. The intimate 200-seat theater allows for real connection and high audience engagement, evoking fond memories of super magic shows of Doug Henning and David Copperfield. Allan's heartfelt tributes to his parents and mentors add depth and sincerity. One story, about his Dad, results in the magical appearance of a real-life Harley Davidson.Amaze is inspiring, entertaining, and joyful. "Dreamers" will feel seen—and even the "skeptics" will likely leave believers.

My family and I all had a blast here. Great place for a fun time whether you consider yourself athletic, or not! My daughters loved the robot goalie and ski simulator. Staff was very helpful as well. Highly recommended!

Although the Academy was excellent there were some problems with the ticketing that should be addressed. Nobody seemed to know about the tickets that were supposed to be issued to us on arrival but the staff did sort out the problem without too many hassles.

It was a fantastic tour - great value for what is included! Only complaint is that we didn't get to see as much as the academy afterwards since it closes at 10pm. Suggest taking the 6pm tour and don't miss the earthquake simulator!

This was so cool. No Kids in sight. This even was made for adults. Drinks and Music make education that much more fun!
