A very enjoyable day The mini bus was comfortable, we were supplied with water throughout the day.Our guide Eran was excellent, he speaks excellent English and was very knowledgeable. The Sumela Monastery lived up to expectations, although very crowded. Lots of steps to walk up but we'll worth the effort. After we visited several locations including the charming town of Hamsikoy.We made a stop for lunch in a lovely restaurant in the mountains. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Trabzon

When I tell people I visited Trabzon they either say "Where is that?" or "Why Trabzon?" Well, before I went there I would answer "I just want to get a look at the Black Sea and I read about a cool monastery perched way up on a sheer cliff." But now I can answer with assurance that this city is a must see, and that you MUST see it with Ozkan! This man was born and raised here and was such an excellent guide I cannot express what a pleasure it was to hear the stories he told. Of course a detailed narrative of the history of the area, but more than that were his own stories of growing up there joining in the annual Hazelnut harvest and other experiences that really help connect a traveler with a previously unknown place. Ozkan did this for me in Trabzon and I heartily recommend the trip!

We had 2 day trips from Zagnos tours they are well established company..First Sumele manastir Hamsikoy and Cal Cave and Hidirnebi plateau both excellent day trips..Thank you to our guide Mais first trip and Mustafa the second trip highly recommended, good value for money.

We took a tour with Mr. Taner. He was knowledgeable, friendly and guided us well with details of history, current and ancient times. The tour was well paced allowing us to explore, relax and be a part of the city. The walk through bustling local markets was an added plus of the tour!

We took a private tour to the monastery and Trabzon city. The experience was excellent: the tour was very well organized, and the tour was tailored to our needs (eg, we wanted to focus on history, which they accommodated). As an added bonus, we were taken to a very nice spot for an excellent lunch on the way back to the airport. We highly recommend.

We went with Emrah who was the best kind of guide one can ask for. Non intrusive and no corny jokes. He was very knowledgeable and always prepared to go the extra mile and make necessary adjustments. He was very prepared, polite and pleasant. It was an amazing experience. Trabzon is a beautiful place.

We had a great trip going up the mountain to a tranquil place in the middle of the valley. Despite a little hick-up in the beginning everything went smooth as it should. My family and I recently went on a private Black Sea Adventure Tour with Sunnova Travel, and we had a fantastic trip. Visiting the Sumela Monastery was impressive, perched on the side of a mountain, and our guide Veysel did a fabulous job explaining its historical significance. The drive in the Highlands was picturesque, with stunning mountain views, tree-lined landscapes, and charming villages along the way. The waterfalls we encountered during our hikes were beautiful, and the hike itself was rewarding.Our stay at the Pokut Orion Boutique Hotel was very comfortable, and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Despite a rainy afternoon, we had a pleasant time playing backgammon with Muhammet. Ayes, the owner, prepared a delicious homemade Turkish dinner and a generous breakfast. Muhammet’s guitar playing and the hosts’ bagpipe performance added a lovely local touch.It was a special experience to visit Muhammet’s parents’ house and tea garden. There, we not only enjoyed tea but had the privilege of attempting to harvest tea leaves from the garden, some of us with more success than others.Throughout the trip, the restaurant recommendations consistently delivered authentic Turkish farm-to-table food, and we also developed a taste for Turkish tea.Overall, our tour with Sunnova Travel was a great experience, and we would recommend it to others looking for an enjoyable tour. We are group of ex-schoolmates in the 6-series age group. Sunnova Travel in particular Mr Alican provide an excellent service in helping me customize our 6D/5N private tour to the Black Sea. Our tour package includes visits to Trabzon city, Sumela-Uzungol-Pokut-Ayder-Rize tea plantations - top of the visits will be Pokut Highlands which was highly recommended by Mr Alican. The Black Sea tour offers an amazing view coupled with some "adventurous" activities for the people from the 6-series. We have an experienced and cheerful tour guide Celal who not only gave an excellent tour guidance for the places that we visited but he also gave good suggestions of restaurants where we had our meals. Top of it he sang some traditional Turkish songs for us while playing the musical instrument. Our driver for the tour Erkan also took great care of us where he helped us "to finish the walks and climbs" of the tour. My recommendation for those who intend to go to the Black Sea - do not miss out Pokut - the experience to be above the clouds. A private tour of 7D/6N or more is recommended to allow you to follow the tour at a slower pace and allows you the the time to enjoy the tour. The Black Sea tour should not be done in a rush.
