Trabzon 2026 Calendar of Events

Our last tour with this company… 🥲 We absolutely loved our previous tours with them and it was almost hard to say goodbye after this one. Gülnur was an amazing organiser and a knowledgeable guide regarding the monastery. But before the monastery, we were on the Zigana mountain and the view was absolutely stunning! We’ve done the quad tour and the big swings here (you have to do these! 😮‍💨❤️). Then we were in Hamsiköy and tried the Sütlaç (milk rice pudding) with hazelnuts. You really have to try this one. And then we finally arrived at the monastery. That’s when Gülnur shone and gave us all the information we needed to know about this place. 😌❤️ We thank you so much to this company for making our experience in Trabzon unforgettable!

This was our second tour with the same company since the first one in Uzungöl was really nice. We were on the way again with Hüseyin abi and Gülnur. In my opinion, this is a must-do tour if you are into trying out some activities as well. We’ve done the rafting (which is very famous in this region) activity and absolutely loved it. There are also other things to try like the quad tour, big swings, ziplining etc. (though some of these you should absolutely do in the Zigana mountain on a separate tour—trust me! 😌) The waterfalls were really impressive and I’ve done the ziplining there (do it here, yes!) We really recommend this tour to anyone who’d like to not only appreciate the nature but also try some activities. We’d like to thank our tour guide and the driver for their amazing recommendations throughout this tour and being the absolute friendliest people. ❤️

We were on the way with Hüseyin abi and the beautiful Gülnur for this tour. They are an amazing pair to experience the maximum hospitality and comfort. 🥰 First, we visited the knife store and got some explanations on the variety available in Trabzon. Then, we went over to the tea factory where we could taste the tea from the region and see how its production took place. They even gave us a little traditional dance show, which was really nice. Then, we ended up in Uzungöl. You absolutely need to try the Alabalık 🐟 here in butter. Uzungöl also offers pretty impressive scenery but be warned that it can get really crowded with the tourists. Our overall experience was pretty satisfactory that we decided to continue on our next tours with the same company after this one. ❤️

A very enjoyable day The mini bus was comfortable, we were supplied with water throughout the day.Our guide Eran was excellent, he speaks excellent English and was very knowledgeable. The Sumela Monastery lived up to expectations, although very crowded. Lots of steps to walk up but we'll worth the effort. After we visited several locations including the charming town of Hamsikoy.We made a stop for lunch in a lovely restaurant in the mountains. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Trabzon

Rafting was amazing! It is at an extra cost but it's worth it! Amazing waterfall and the stops are nice for taking pictures.

When I tell people I visited Trabzon they either say "Where is that?" or "Why Trabzon?" Well, before I went there I would answer "I just want to get a look at the Black Sea and I read about a cool monastery perched way up on a sheer cliff." But now I can answer with assurance that this city is a must see, and that you MUST see it with Ozkan! This man was born and raised here and was such an excellent guide I cannot express what a pleasure it was to hear the stories he told. Of course a detailed narrative of the history of the area, but more than that were his own stories of growing up there joining in the annual Hazelnut harvest and other experiences that really help connect a traveler with a previously unknown place. Ozkan did this for me in Trabzon and I heartily recommend the trip!

Ozkan is a great guide. His knowledge about the history is outstanding. He introduce everything about tge Trabzon and Sumela monastery. He is also very kind. We enjoyed our time with him

We had 2 day trips from Zagnos tours they are well established company..First Sumele manastir Hamsikoy and Cal Cave and Hidirnebi plateau both excellent day trips..Thank you to our guide Mais first trip and Mustafa the second trip highly recommended, good value for money.

We took a tour with Mr. Taner. He was knowledgeable, friendly and guided us well with details of history, current and ancient times. The tour was well paced allowing us to explore, relax and be a part of the city. The walk through bustling local markets was an added plus of the tour!

Our goal was simple: find a reliable transport to Uzungol, and Zagnos Tour delivered. The price was competitive with private taxis around town, but the value went far beyond a ride. I was genuinely impressed with the itinerary — there was more to see than just the lake, and the journey itself was a pleasure.The car was comfortable, the driver handled the route with ease, and Mustafa, our group leader, did an amazing job coordinating everything. I’d gladly recommend Zagnos Tour to anyone planning a trip. They’re incredibly organized, and my partner and I had a wonderful day in Uzungol; it was a well-rounded day-tour experience.One small note: the itinerary mentioned a stop at Of, but we didn’t pause there for the 15-minute photo break. It wasn’t a big deal for us since our main goal was Uzungol, and the other six itineraries provided a very rewarding consolation.Overall, great value, great experience, and a memorable day

We took a private tour to the monastery and Trabzon city. The experience was excellent: the tour was very well organized, and the tour was tailored to our needs (eg, we wanted to focus on history, which they accommodated). As an added bonus, we were taken to a very nice spot for an excellent lunch on the way back to the airport. We highly recommend.

What a wonderful trip! Ancient monuments, churches, palaces, castles and mosques. We travelled through wild places with spectacular scenery. We ate far too much and stayed in comfortable hotels. Our guide Ahmet Gülmez has an encyclopedic knowledge of Turkish history and culture and he brought alive the cultures of the Black Sea, Anatolia and Mesopotamia. He educated us and entertained us and worked hard to make sure we were happy. I appreciated his shared photographs which are a much better quality than mine. Serhat was a safe and professional driver and a cheerful and friendly companion. There were many highlights. Sumela, Ani, Akdamar, Mt Nemrut, Ishak Pasha and Gobeklitepe were standouts. Many kilometres were travelled and this was well managed. However the Mercedes vehicle was simply too small for 5 passengers and their bags. For a tall man it was tricky getting in and out of the car. Toyota offers more comfortable options.

We went with Emrah who was the best kind of guide one can ask for. Non intrusive and no corny jokes. He was very knowledgeable and always prepared to go the extra mile and make necessary adjustments. He was very prepared, polite and pleasant. It was an amazing experience. Trabzon is a beautiful place.
