A Wonderful Wine Experience in the Priorat RegionWhat a fantastic day! My wife and I, along with two friends, arranged a private tour through El Brogit just a couple of weeks before our visit to the Tarragona area. Meritxell put together a wonderful itinerary that included small wineries, an olive oil tasting, an ancient monastery, and a delicious lunch.Every stop was special and felt genuinely local. At Gritelles, we met the winemaker, whose incredible knowledge of wine, the land, and the region made the tasting fascinating. We all left a little “wine wiser,” and the wines were excellent. The olive oil tasting was another highlight, hosted by a wonderfully lively woman whom my wife absolutely adored. The ancient monastery, tucked away in the countryside, offered a fascinating glimpse into the region’s history.Lunch was outstanding, with an array of tapas paired with the owner’s wines. The three different local pâtés were a particular favorite. Our final stop was in the beautiful little town of Porrera, where we visited an ancient cellar carved into the rock. We saw centuries-old walnut casks, French oak barrels, and bottles that had been aging for more than 30 years. The winemaker even took time away from the grape harvest to meet with us and share his wines. We bought one of those old bottles, which he had to carefully clean before putting the label on!This was so much more than a wine tour—it was a wonderful introduction to the wine, food, history, and people of the Priorat region. El Brogit created a memorable and very personal experience for the four of us. Highly recommended!

Me and my mum had such a wonderful day exploring the wineyards in the Priorat region with Meritxell who took us on a path which was safe for my mum to walk on and was such a warm, joyous person to be around and taught us so much about the region, the wine and everything in between! We then had an amazing wine tasting which made us love the place even more! Everyone was so knowledgeable and welcoming and made our day extra special!

While in Tarragona, it was like being transported back to the Roman Empire era. The Roman amphitheater is awesome. Sitges on the other hand has beautiful beaches and a lively cultural scene. The tour guide was able to quite effectively showcase these two distinct destinations in Catalonia, Spain. We also enjoyed a nice meal at a local restaurant. My family thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

We appreciate the meticulous planning and the comfortable transportation, which made the journey between locations stress-free and enjoyable. Seeing the old towns, iconic churches, art galleries and the golden beaches, is an experience that we will always remember.

We had a marvelous day with Carl and Peter. It was a shore excursion out of Tarragona. They are excellent guides - knowledgeable, capable, professional and entertaining. They made the day really special and memorable and I would highly recommend anyone to tour with them in the Barcelona area. They took the time to understand our interests and to create a tour that was what we wanted. They have an excellent minivan, immaculately clean and comfortable. Also, the booking process with them was easy and accurate.

We had a wonderful 5-hour tour in Tarragona with brothers Peter and Carl. The positive experience began with a thoughtful email the day before providing important details and advice. They arrived promptly in a comfortable and clean vehicle and with a well-organized itinerary. It was such a pleasure to have one brother drive and the other guide, as we wasted no time at all parking the car at each site. Peter and Carl were charming, entertaining and knowledgeable. They provided a fantastic experience. Highly recommended for tours in Tarragona , Barcelona and nearby towns in France. We loved these guys!

Wow! what a Day! It was a wonderful private road trip with Rodrigo to Poblet Monastery, Siurana and… Montserrat (yes, I finally got here!) Only took me five trips to Spain to get here. Rodrigo was the perfect guide, kind and attentive to my needs. Poblet has been home to a monastic community for years and was founded in the year 1150. It fell into a sad state in the 1830s but was restored to its former glory by four trusty and rich Italian Cistercians, and is now both an institution and a monument well worthy of a visit. I really loved the cloister. After that drive me to what I think of as Spain’s most beautiful villages, Siurana. It is a tiny, medieval village you have walk into as the streets are exceptionally narrow. It is a limestone paradise in Catalunya and because of the amazing, tall limestone cliffs, is very popular with climbers. I saw so many dashes of colourful clothing of the climbers as we wound out way to the top to explore the village and enjoy a leisurely lunch. It was lovely to have his company así have been travelling alone. Then, it was onwards to Montserrat, now late afternoon, which worked in my favour as nearly everyone had left by then. I truly appreciated this unique mountain because it is spectacular from a geological point of view, and also because this Benedictine monastery has more than a thousand years of history. I’ll didn’t have time to see the Holy Grotto but enjoyed the basilica, the Angelic door, many of its spaces and made sure I touched the right hand of Our Lady known also as the Black Madonna, who holds in her hand a sphere, the symbol of the universe. Gabi believed in the universe so I lit a long lasting blue candle in his memory. Today was a very special day for me. Really you need a whole day in Montserrat alone. Thank you Rodrigo for a memorable day.

Our wine and olive oil tasting tour was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was seamless — warm hospitality, breathtaking scenery, and a thoughtful selection of wines and olive oils that showcased the region beautifully.

We are a mature couple who have done a lot of wine tours all over the world. Priorat wine area has been on our list for a while. When we started planning our trip we made contact with Meritxell, which was a great decision. She suggested how to spend our two days in the region and planned our trip. From the moment she collected us from our hotel (which was also organised by her) we had the best experience. Meritxell was born, raised, educated and now working in this region. She has so much local knowledge to share and loves doing it. She has a very personal touch and took us to the actual wine makers who shared their knowledge. When you come to this area she would be the person to show you around.

This tour uncovered a different side of Spain for me, as I experienced some unexpected delights of Tarragona and Sitges. It was a delightful mix of picturesque beaches and a rich cultural scene, thanks to the exceptionally knowledgeable guide.

We got to see 2,000-year-old relics, colonial buildings and an idyllic walk on the beach of Sitges. The tour guide provided personalized attention and that is appreciated. This tour is ideal for people interest in history, specially in the Roman times, but also wanting to spend a relaxing day.

Being the only one on a tour is both a plus and a minus. I missed the interaction of others which adds to the total experience

Our favorite part of our trip to Spain was the time we spent in Priorat, which was largely due to our amazing tour guide from El Brogit. We reached out about wanting to hike, try local food, and taste wine from smaller producers. El Brogit immediately understood what we were looking for and delivered spectacularly. El Brogit planned a few days for us that included all of the above - private, intimate tastings with vineyards run by 11th generation family producers, beautiful lunches, olive oil tastings, hikes through vineyards and the wilderness and much more. Even more than the spot on itinerary, we are grateful for Meritxell, our guide, who was a warm, open, and incredibly knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend them more!

We got to explore 2 different wineries and oil. We got a tour around one of the oldest wineries and saw how it is produced from start to finish. We also got to taste wine in the actual winery itself and try different oils and what each one pairs with. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and our tour guide, Meritxell, was one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. We even got to have lunch at a restaurant that was in a beautiful area with delicious food. We absolutely recommend doing this tour, you will certainly not regret it!

We loved walking through the vines and seeing olive and hazelnut trees. We very much appreciated Meritxell’s knowledge about the environment, history, and winemaking in the Priorat region. All the tastings (wine, vermouth , and olive oil) were so informative. A great day!

I've gone on a lot of vineyard tours, but this was the best. Jeff was a great guide. Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he introduced us to a whole host of warm and welcoming folks along the way. The landscape of Priorat left me speechless. The wines (especially at Cal Pla - an 11th-generation winery) were amazing. Lunch at Ca l'Artur was delicious.
