Top Taiwan Half-day Tours

James was a very nice and accommodating tour guide. We visited all the spots and James was good at accommodating our flexible schedule and itinerary since I was traveling w my elderly mother. He will accomodate you and ask your preferences on where you want to visit in the 1/2 day tour and he also will give you great recommendations on where to eat. I would use James again for a future tour.Davie C.

A very fun way to see the city and learn about the history of Taiwan and Taipei. Included a typical local breakfast, a morning market and multiple sites along the way.

An excellent 4 hour guided bike tour around Taipei with our knowledgeable guide Zak from Taipei Bike Works, taking in many sights including the Chiang Kai Chek Memorial, inside several temples, a typical Taiwanese breakfast, the changing of the guard, and along the river path. Zak succinctly summarised the history of Taiwan and gave us many insights into significant events past, present, and future.

I have done two food tours in Taipei: this one with Taipei Eats and a much cheaper one with another company. This tour was far superior to the other one I did. The guide, Jean, was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting, patient, and professional. She knew so much about Taiwanese cuisine, culture, and history. I learned so much from her. The tour of the market was fun. There were so many stops and all of them were fantastic, especially the guabao and the stinky tofu. The tour is definitely worth your time and money!

We had an absolute blast with our guide! She was patient and very accommodating! So very helpful and very personable. Took us to an amazing tea spot where we had delicious tea. Sonia was wonderful and I if you can get her you will be lucky.

Eva was such a fantastic guide! She arrived early and ready to walk me though hidden away places, providing interesting info and history. The food choices were wonderful and she gave very thoughtful backgrounds on each dish. Would very much recommend again!

Eva was absolutely fantastic! We did the Hidden Gems tour of Taipei with her, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. She took my partner and me to places we never would have discovered on our own, and there’s no way we could have experienced so much in the limited time we had in Taipei. One of the surprises was the tea tasting. I honestly didn’t think it was something I would be that interested in, but I’m so glad we did it — it was such a unique and memorable experience.Eva was warm, knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire day feel personal rather than like a typical tour. She really gave us a chance to experience a side of Taipei we otherwise would have missed. She also gave us recommendations for other places to see and places to eat while we are here on our short stay in Taipei.I highly recommend this tour, and if you have the opportunity to do it with Eva, even better. I truly couldn’t recommend her more!

This was the best tour we took on our 3 week trip to Asia. Pauline, our tour guide, was amazing. She was knowledgeable, spoke great English and she told really good stories. She brought Taiwan history to life. We walked down small alleyways, ate food, drank bubble tea and really enjoyed ourselves. Take this tour!

Tina and the tour were terrific! She is very knowledgeable about the food, preparation, and local history. I learned so much. The food sampling choices were excellent. Word to the wise… skip breakfast to prepare for the amount included. Highly recommend!!!

We had a fantastic experience on our Taipei night tour with Vincent. Communication beforehand was smooth and clear, which made everything feel easy from the start. He did a great job guiding us through a very busy evening—taking us inside Taipei 101 and navigating the crowds and traffic at the Friday night market effortlessly. It could have felt overwhelming, but Vincent made it feel organized and relaxed. He was also genuinely interesting to talk to and especially great with our kids, which made a big difference for our family.Highly recommend this tour if you want a seamless and enjoyable way to experience Taipei at night.

Had a great time, Sonia was so friendly and knowledgeable, we loved this food tour (but were bursting at the seams by the finish 🤣)Highly recommended, but don’t eat anything before you go 🙏🏻

Great tour and amazing first immersion in Taipei, I would 100% recommend it on your first days to get acquainted with the city, its customs and a traditional Taiwanese breakfast ! Our guide was brilliant, she was very attentive to each person in the tour, she shared her experience of the city, she made us feel like we belong in Taipei! 🙏 And as for the cycling, it’s very easy so if you wonder whether you can do it, the answer is likely yes!

Garen was kind and passionate and knowledgeable and connected to the community wherever we went. It was so nice not to have to wait in long lines at popular places, so nice to try tiny samples to full bowls of shaved ice deliciousness in the heat (she would get you as much as your heart desires to be clear but we asked to share our servings), allowing us to to try so many things. Her love for her country and her peoooe and the culture and food shines through in all her interactions. She is a lovely, intuitive human being and it was a treat to see and taste Taipei with her.

This was an amazing experience. Everything was so thoughtfully planned out! It was such a unique way to learn about the city, see a ton of things we probably wouldn’t have found on our own and even sample some traditional breakfast foods! It was more than we had expected and highly recommend!!

Garen was incredible. I changed the time for our tour multiple times and even the day due to travel hiccups and illness. She was so flexible and responsive. Once we finally did meet though, we were so impressed that she knew mandarin, Cantonese, and English. She was energetic and full of information. Patient with both my elderly mother and young tired kids. She was incredible and her own history with Taiwan is interesting as well. Please book her. She took pictures of our family, gave us great tips about the city, and is such an amazing person. Ask for Garen and book this tour.

Garen was an incredible guide. She was knowledgeable and passionate and communicated well. She gave us flexibility on our trip to spend more times with the things we were interested in. I highly recommend taking a tour with Garen. She’s amazing!
