Top Syracuse City Tours

The itinerary allows you to see all of Ortigia well. The explanations summarize the places well without being tiresome. It took me 6 hours to complete, admittedly with detours in the alleys, lunch, and two visits. It also provides good addresses, obviously known to the guide, to treat your taste buds. I advise doing it in the indicated direction in order to take advantage of the fish market open in the morning. Unfortunately for me, I had not seen on the page that there was a bonus second itinerary including the city of Syracuse and Neapolis where I rented an audio guide, even though the explanations on this one were just as complete, if not more so. Practically speaking, I found the guide very well made. No additional application to install. A button allows you to integrate the proposed itinerary into Google Maps and thus keep the navigator to have the guide's explanations or do additional searches with the itinerary in a floating window. In short, very good value for money, thanks to the designer!

I couldn't get a free tour and we opted for this option. Much better, you can go at your own pace and they explain everything very well.

A great review of a beautiful city

Paolo was a fantastic guide. My sister and I were there with my elderly mother. I put down friends as the category because there was nothing else that described our situation. He paced the tour perfectly for us. He was very knowledgeable about the buildings, the history, and the area. We really enjoyed the experience thoroughly and felt to learned a lot. I would really recommend the store anyone coming to Noto.

Stephano was a great driver for this trip. The time we had was perfect for both stops in Siracusa and Noto. Two beautiful cities with an abundance of beautiful architecture and history. Lots of great photos! We are thankful that we chose this type of tour so we didn’t have to worry about driving.

The beaches and bays were astonishing! We had a blast kayaking & paddleboarding along incredible caves. The food was delicious! We will come back!!!

A truly beautiful and "instagrammable" place, so perfect that it doesn't seem real. The Christmas tree was huge🔝

Antonio was fabulous. My daughter and I had a great time. He was so knowledgeable and super fun!! He showed us so many places we wouldn’t not have ever found.

Came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely experience is Cassa de montabalno. Maria the housekeeper was amazing. Very helpful friendly and when we arrived we had to organise a Covid test. She organised it with the help of Ivana and we were very happy that they helped us.Maria was a source of information and arranged us to go on a day tour on a Montabalno Day Tour with Nunzio the taxi driver. We had a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone who loves the tv show.Only negative was we missed the season and not many restaurants were open but we didn’t starve. We bought our food in the local shop and ate on the balcony in the evening.Thank you for having us!

My husband and I are both avid viewers of the Montalbano TV series so this excursion was a perfect day trip from Ortigia where we were staying for a few days last week. We originally tried to book this trip on Cool Destinations but the booking rejected as we would have been the only guests. However, we were delighted when Paolo came back to us with a fair price for a personal tour.He picked us up promptly from our hotel in his new, comfortable Mercedes and chatted to us throughout the journey. As a local, Paolo is very well informed about the history, geography and food of this part of Sicily and he also had a lot of detailed knowledge about Montalbano. We visited Montalbano’s beach house and took photos by the iconic terrace, his favourite beach restaurant ( not open yet as it was too early in the season) before moving on the the palazzo at Donnafugata. The scenery and views were amazing and Paolo gave us a lot of opportunities to take pictures. We then went to Ragusa and the to Modica to visit various churches and other locations from the TV series. The final highlight of the trip was a visit to the “real” Vigata police station at Scicli. This was like stepping right into a film set as everything has been left exactly as it was when they last filmed there- Catarella’s office, Fazio’s desk and Montalbano’s office, complete with files, clutter and paperwork. This was a very interesting day and Paolo is a great guy as well as being an excellent guide. He looked after us very well and made special allowance for the fact that I am unable to walk very far due to an old leg injury, we will definitely use Paolo and Handy Sicily for excursions next time we come back to Sicily.

Excellent tour of Siracusa by our knowledgeable and charming guide Elena -- including a special look at the St. Lucia celebration that was in progress at the time of our visit. In addition to all the history, she had lots of interesting anecdotes and insights only a native could provide.

It was the first time I hired a guide to do it at my own pace and it was a very pleasant experience. You have all the documentation to do the tour at your own pace and without connection problems and it is super well explained. I will hire it again for other visits I make in other cities. I recommend it 100%. Thank you.

Clear informative audio guide that was easy to use. Having individual sections was great as was the ability to replay certain sections. I did have to use alongside Google maps

We did the day tour from Siracusa to Noto, a winery and then Marzememi. Paolo was professional, very knowledgeable and informed us of many interesting facts about Noto and Marzememi. The winery was also excellent. The van was a smooth ride and very comfortable Mercedes van. Don’t miss out on this! Highly recommend!.

Emilia is the best tour guide, she was friendly, approachable, full of information, answered our questions and really took her time to show us the city. You can tell she loves what she does. Thank you Emilia.

My best evening in Siracusa! Our guide Valeria was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her native town and told us a lot about local's life. We visited the most important monuments of Ortigia as well as authentic little streets and corners which I couldn't discover by myself. Two hours of tour with Valeria and our small group was very relaxing and friendly! I enjoyed so much and recommend to everyone who is going to visit amazing Ortigia!
