Top Stratford-upon-Avon Dining Experiences

I attended the gin tasting session at the Judith site. I was surprised by the welcome drinks on arrival. The whole experience was very informative with a lot of history behind Gin and also the distillery. The 3 samples we were given to try were beautiful and the shop had an amazing selection to purchase. Definitely would recommend to any Gin fans.

Fantastic experience, well laid out room, very knowledgeable guide and some great Rums to taste with lovely mixers. We learnt a great deal from our time there. Would thouraghly recommend it.

What a fantastic experience! Spending time with Fulden is delightful, she is a brilliant teacher, charming and very knowledgeable. The venue is beautiful, warm and welcoming. The Sourdough class was a lot of fun and the bread we made tasted amazingly good. It was such a great afternoon and I learnt so much, I’ve booked up for three more classes!!

My boyfriend and I visited during a long weekend trip to Stratford upon Avon. We’ve always wanted to do a sourdough class and we are SO glad we chose Fulden’s class at the Dough House. Fulden is a phenomenal teacher and such an inspiring woman. It was an honour to meet you and we’ll definitely be back to see you when we are next in the area! The class was so informative; we learnt loads, baked four different loaves to take home and have techniques/skills that we can use in the future. She made the lessons easy to follow but fun and personal! I would recommend these classes at The Dough House to anyone (no matter what level!). It was an amazing day and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!! X

Would highly recommend this to anyone. It was so much fun, and we already have plans to come back with friends. The guides were really helpful and knowledgeable and the time just flew by. Can't wait to try our rum once it has matured.

Interesting and informative. Sampled a few different rums and mixers over about 45 mins. Easy to get to in central Stratford, be aware that the tasting is on the second floor and involves stairs, but manageable. Good gift for rum enthusiasts, unfortunately, we decided we prefer gin (but that's our personal view!)

Definitely the best workshop I have ever been to! I can’t recommend it enough. Fulden was so friendly and welcomed us in to her beautiful home. I did the bread and pastry workshop and learnt so much, had lots of fun, an amazing lunch and came home with a big bag of home baked delicious goodies. Can’t wait for my next workshop with Fulden. Thank you so much for a truly memorable day.

Made very welcome and your first rum mixer drink was freeThere was short chat about the products and how there distilled and a introduction to the Shakespeare distilleryThen you try 3 different 3 rums with a insight into the way these rums get there flavours All in all a very pleasant way to spend an hour learning and drinking English rum

Fab day, great hosts and a lovely building.

Putting my review for the Rum making class here as I couldn't find a specific spot for it. I had limited time to make it to the class due to my travel arrangements and the team at Shakespeare Distillery were super accommodating even offering to store my bag if I couldn't check in before the class when I emailed them about my situation. The class is a 3 hour workshop where you choose which flavours you would like to infuse your Rum with, I chose Christmas tones of currants, nutmeg etc, and the team are there to help guide when it comes to quantity. The guys had a great sense of humour and made the learning experience fun. During the session we also had 3 Rum based cocktails and three tastings so make sure if you do sign up for this course you aren't driving as you don't want to miss trying them all (as well as your own creation at the end). Looking forward to getting my family and friends to taste test the Rum I made during this session.

I went here with a friend and sadly we was so late due to traffic. Katherine was absolutely lovely when we got there ( 50 mins late) and stayed on to let us have some tasters and share some her knowledge. Was very much appreciated after the journey we had!

A lovely xmas gift from family. Brillant experience and learnt alot about Rum and tasted a lot as well. We were there about 3 house. Very good helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

We had a great time distilling our own rum at Judith's in Stratford-upon-Avon. All the staff from Shakespeare Distillery, including those doing the experience and serving in the shop, were extremely friendly, helpful and informative. This certainly enhanced the enjoyment during the day. If anyone is looking for a fun gift for a loved one, especially if they like rum or gin, this experience is ideal!

This was bought as a Birthday present for me. I attend with my son and both of us agreed it was a great 3 hours. The whole experience was very interesting and great atmosphere. All staff made you feel very welcome, and were very knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth doing again.

1st class experience, host super knowledgeable

Thoroughly enjoyed the rum tasting experience. Our host Katherine was incredibly informative, funny and kept the guests entertained. The experience is relatively short, around an hour long, but I found that length of time to be sufficient. Definitely would recommend to anyone interested in how rum is made etc.
