Top Rhodes Hiking & Camping

We had an incredible time with our guide, Manuela, from Hiking Rhodes Team. This was by far the best thing we did during our holiday in Rhodes! We escaped the hustle and bustle and headed to beautiful Monolithos for a three-hour hike, finishing at Monolithos Castle in time to watch the sunset. Manuela was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and kind throughout. We were also provided with snacks, water and a beautiful Greek picnic to enjoy while watching the sunset. The hike itself was perfect for beginners. We stopped halfway for a refreshing dip in the sea before continuing on to the castle, with plenty of time to find a spot and enjoy the sunset. The route was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by pine and olive trees. One of the highlights was being welcomed by a huge group of goats halfway through the hike! You could hear all the bells hanging from their collars, ringing together like an orchestrated band, such a lovely and unexpected moment.I would 100% recommend this hike to anyone visiting Rhodes. A huge thank you to Manuela for such a wonderful experience! We really hope to join another hike with you in the near future. Perfect for fit and healthy beginners. Before the hike, we also ate at a small local restaurant called Greek House, which produces its own wine, olive oil, honey and souma. It was the perfect way to round off a brilliant day exploring this beautiful part of Rhodes.

Me and my husband booked this tour only a few days in advance and fortunately we were the only ones on it. The best guided hiking experience in our lives. We got picked up from the hotel by our Guide, Manuela, and we drove together straight to the starting point of a hike. The route was sooo picturesque - with lots of great spots for photos and simply to enjoy a wilder and calmer part of Rhodes. We had an hour long stop at a secluded beach with giant (as for the sea) waves and NO sunbeds/people on the beach and it was INCREDIBLE! No tourists, no noise,- just you, black sand and a sound of strong big waves. Like a dream. The sunset on Monolithos castle was majestic. I strongly urge everyone who’s considering this hike to book it ASAP, you will not be disappointed.Manuela also brought some food she gave us at the monolithos to enjoy together with the sunset - we had cheese with olives, juice (there was an option to have some wine, but we are both non-drinkers, so we had juice) and a greek snack. We did, however, have a lunch packed in advance we ate at the beach, I would recommend you do the same mainly because of the duration of the hike - the pick-up from Faliraki was around 1:20pm and we got back around 9:30pm - so bring some food and water.Manuela is an amazing woman, we loved spending this day with her. We learned a lot of things about Greece, the island itself and of course some interesting and important history :)I do hope you get to experience this hike if you’re on Rhodes - you will NOT be disappointed.Thank you!

The guides Elisa and Manuela were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you

After pick-up at hotel and driving direct to foothills Manuela skilfully guided us safely through a range of beautiful locations, meadows, thick forest, rocky paths, at times challenging but rewarded with breaktaking views, immersed fully in nature and all it's delightful sights, sounds and scents. Best day of my holiday undoubtedly and worth every penny and small group of 4 made it highly personable.. highly recommended! Thanks all.

Great and informative hike with Manuela!

Group vacation where everything was fantastic! Everyone is happy and satisfied! We are already ready for the next vacation 😍 in 🍀🇬🇷

We have just returned from a super vacation in Rhodes. Everything perfect, organization, flights on time, hotel up to our expectations and then Rhodes... wonderful island! See you soon!!

Trekking organized to perfection, perfect stay in a well-kept, clean and delicious food. Absolutely recommended

It was a wonderful experience! Elisa the guide who accompanied us is really competent as well as being nice and with a crazy determination. If we hadn't done this week of trekking I wouldn't have seen some truly unique places.

I enjoyed my half day hike to profitis llias. It’ the better time you to go hiking because it not too hot to hike. It’s very green but very rocky terrain. It’s one of the easiest trails to do if you don’t do much hiking. The two guides Tsimkas and George were very acknowledgeable guides. Very easy to get on with. The speak good English. It’s worth going.

We were picked up early sunday morning at our hotel in Faleraki by our guide Manuela ,and together with an english couple we drove to the Kritinia area where our hike started. It was a very hot day,so Manuela gave us extra bottles of water. We started walking up a steep hill, and at the top we got a beautiful view over the Aegean sea and the beautiful island Halki ( which my wife and I visited 15 years ago on a 7 day hike around the Rhodos Island) Our lunch break was in a small beach with peeble stones. We also got the chance to dip our toes in the rough sea (Manuela even went swimming in the big waves) After the break we continued to the ruins of Kritinia castle (the end of the hike)sitting on the top of a small mountain. The view here was amazing. Afterwards we had a stop in the small village of Kritinia for a cup of coffee. On our way back home we even visited the Gadoura dam in Laerna which support drinking water to the city of Rhodos. All in all a fantastic day, thanks to our guide Manuela and our traveling companions

With a group of a Section of the Cai-Sat of Trentino, we participated in a one-week trek visiting the mountains, cliffs, and the most beautiful places on the island of Rhodes, enhanced by the friendly and competent Guides Elisa and Manuela of Hiking Rhodes. The assistance was great. For those interested in a fulfilling and not too tiring trekking, I can only recommend this organization.

First hike I have ever done and I survived. Guide was fantastic and very informative. Had the best time ever and would recommend this trip. Views at the top were stunning.

Fantastic experience with amazing guide, she told us she had the best job in the world and it shows in her passion for hiking, knowledge and friendliness, we can not fault our guide Manuela, do not come to Rhodes and miss out on one of these hikes especially a sunset one, what price do you put on a sunset view we shared on the mountain?, only one answer, priceless!

Amazing views and brillant tour guide ,its a absolute must for anyone who likes brillant sun rises and decent views the real bonus is a tour guide with such energy and all round honest vibes

Wow - truly amazing hiking this sunset trekking through rich scenery and wonderful views! Our very professional trekking guide Manuela was AMAZING and we got so much value thorough the history of Rhodes as well about the various trekking! The panoramic view on top the mountain was amazing and also the Greek snack! When trekking downhill in pitch black night we could enjoy the stars & the Moon ! What a beautiful memory and lovely trekking company in this small group. I can highly recommend! Thank you Hining Rhodes.
