A very fulfilling afternoon! We started by shopping at the Mercado a Janeiro, the largest market for Chefs in Lisbon, for all of our fresh vegetables, cheeses and fish as Angela pointed out important Portugese food facts. Once back at the kitchen, she explained a lot about the Portugese food culture as our small group of 5 moved along collectively from one recipe to the next. She even taught each of us how to filet sardines and sea bream. Our menu of traditional favorites was Tomato Peach Gazpacho, Grilled fresh Sardines, a gorgeous fresh tomato and fig salad, Cataplana, Clams with peppers, and a wonderful orange sponge cake. We all felt it was very informative, and an inviting space with plenty of apps and wine paired with our delicious meal! Ask for Angela when you book!

Excellent, great, brill, ace.... cant think of any more superlatives! Jose our guide ( forgive if name not correct) was amazing and very knowledgable. We had our doubts about visiting a "smaller" winery but we were blown away by this tour.... have no doubts this experience is excellent and well worth doing! Oh, and the wines 🍷🥂 of course are delicious 😄👍

Romantic and Cultural experience
This was an unforgettable experience. There is nothing like learning from locals, specially trained local to really get a true taste of the culture in a country. Over all this was the highlight of our trip. The combined experience between the chef Tania and the wine knowledge of Tomas, and the small.class setting really allowed you to gain an appreciation for the food and culture. Would recommend to anyone interested! A must!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute highlight of our trip to Lisbon! Our pastel de nata class with Home Cooking Lisbon was warm, engaging, and exceptionally well-organized from start to finish. Our instructor, Francisco, was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and full of great tips for getting that iconic flaky crust and caramelized custard just right. He also shared the wonderful history behind the pastry, making the experience feel deeply authentic. Working in the cookery school was a great , and sitting down to enjoy our warm, freshly baked tarts with a traditional drink at the end was the ultimate reward. We left with detailed recipes and a new skill we can't wait to try back home. We would definitely try one of the other courses they offer such as the Portuguese tapas if we return to Lisbon. Do not miss this class! Obrigada, Francisco and Home Cooking Lisbon! 🇵🇹✨
