Chris was our tour guide and he was amazing,. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and went out of his way for me since I had special food requests. The scenery and food were great , and made even better by our terrific guide!

Great chance to get off the beaten path and Learn from an expert about cacao cultivation and making chocolate. We saw the entire life cycle of the cacao trees and were allowed to touch smell and taste beans from all stages of processing. Then we taste tested chocolate made from cacao grown across the entire region. The cacao tea was a highlight.

After the adventure of finding the meeting place we boarded the van for the short trip to the Manoa chocolate factory. Although the factory is modest in size, the Manoa people are serious about making great chocolate products. Georgie gave us the basics and we arched a short film about Manoa origins. Then we each got a golden spoon and explored the factory while sampling warm chocolate from chocolate fountains. This is very good chocolate! This tour is interesting and fun, we felt like kids tasting chocolate and identifying scents and being treated to coconut ice cream. Well behaved children might enjoy this? Steep staircase in one area. Lovely little gift shop where you can buy some bars to take home. I’m really into chocolate and already loved Manoa chocolate for its great flavor and smooth texture, so I really enjoyed the tour.

Amazing experience, a little hard to get to. But lots of fun and yummy chocolate. Informative and great staff!

This tour was amazing! Diego offered two options... One was free while the other was way more focused on the entire Cacao and Rum experience... We did that one. I'm just appreciative on giving us options. He called us about a week before so we could plan our day. He was able to send a link to help with the tickets so we didnt have to worry about it on our tour day. He stayed with us the entire time helping guide us on where to go. The whole tour was 6 hours but everything timed perfect. He picked us up at the Honolulu pier, held our bags and at the end got us to our hotel with plenty of time to get to our Luau... Couldn't have asked for a better first day on Oahu! Mahalo Diego!

Chris Bodily was fantastic! He was very informative and knowledgeable on the island and food experiences. He was able to answer all our questions from all guests in our group from many countries. He was cordial and funny and had us in stitches most of the time as well as giving us many poignant facts about the island!

I love, love, love this tour. Chris Bodily was an amazing and awesome tour guide. Coming to O’ahu is one of my bucket lists and Chris helped make it so memorable. He’s friendly and personable and is very entertaining and engaging. If I had to do it again, I would definitely do it.

Nice and short. Informational and tasty! Was nice we did not have to wait for the whole group to finish before taking us back to our vehicle.

Fun! Short, sweet, and to the point! Good activity to learn about local production with the whole family. Good activity for kids.

The gate access is trickie. There is a keypad to gain access to the road to the farm but getting out was difficult. There is no keypad to exit the property. Luckily, a car was attempting to access the property without knowledge of the keypad and code. Our car and another car was trying to exit so we educated the incoming car. They got the gate open and the other attendee car and ours were able to get out.

The tour was great! We entered a beautiful door that was given to them. We learnt about the cocoa trees and the other trees in the orchard that all play a roll in the ecosystem for these trees. We were able to see the seed pods in all of their stages, we were able to taste the pulp around the seed, and eat the bean if we wanted to. If you like dark chocolate you will most likely like the raw seed. After we tasted the pulp of the cocoa bean, we were welcomed into the tasting hut. Where we tasted 7-8 different chocolate combinations. We tried to name the different tastes of each chocolate combination. Each one had fruit, honey, or nuts mixed in. They also had tea and coffee options made from the cocoa plants. It was an enlightening experience for sure. I also want to mention that if you want to take this tour, you should plan on renting a car to get there and back. We got lift to take us out there, but I could not get lift to come back. The owner drove us off of the property to a church and we were able to get lift from there. Thank goodness!

Amazing tour. Andrew was awesome. He August is about Hawaiian history, told us about the food, and gave great photography tips. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour. We would highly recommend the tour, especially with Andrew as the guide.
