Top Marseille Hiking & Camping

We had the best time! Our guide knew all of the best stops! The views were absolutely breathtaking and the guide was an excellent photographer too! I can’t get over the views from the highest point in the Mediterranean!

Our walking tour with Caroline was outstanding. It was comprehensive and at exactly the right pace. In her very engaging manner, she revealed so much about the city, its history and its people that I very soon realized I hadn’t allotted nearly enough time to this amazing city. I’ve resolved to return for at least a week to do it justice.

Lucy was an exceptional tour guide! She was very knowledgeable of the area, very friendly and always making sure we were doing well. I am so happy for our beautiful hike, with swimming and a nice French lunch/snack. I couldn't have asked for more :) Thank you Lucy!!

We had an amazing time with Denise, our guide. He was kind, thoughtful, great photographer and took us around Marseilles from beach to mountain top. It was a blast driving the VW Beetle top down. Car was well maintained and clean. Awesome experience! Highly recommend it.

Carolina is a great guide. She is growing up locally and she has a vast knowledge of Marseille. She was patiently introducing us to hidden spots we couldn’t have found by ourselves.

It was a nice hike that requires little athleticism. We saw great viewpoints, learned something about nature, and the place for swimming and the picnic was also really well chosen. Our guide Adrien was also super! I would recommend it :)

I had a wonderful time on this tour! I learned so much about Marseille and its history. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She clearly loves Marseille and was excited to share her city with us.

Caroline was an outstanding guide! She was very knowledgeable & enthusiastic. She was good about keeping us in the shade (Marseilles is hot in August)! A really good tour & a highlight of our trip in Marseilles.

Exceptional experience, not to be missed. Very professional and very nice guide. Regional products offered and swimming in a cove: top! Sports hiking especially in summer but it is definitely worth it.

Bruno was a great guide! The hike has amazing sights and moments. Bruno is very helpful during the tougher parts of the hike

There were only two of us on this tour with Caroline. I really enjoyed it as she focused on history rather than food. I loved her stories and the use of her pictures. She was great and very considerate, waiting for me to take pictures.

Adrien is phenomenal Knowledge and caring describes him The hiking was great, the scenery breathtaking

It was far more than just a drive: a perfect and wonderfully unique experience that began in Marseille, taking in the Cassis *calanques* and the Route des Crêtes, which offered breathtaking scenery. Our guide, Denis, was extraordinary; with a great sense of humor, he shared fascinating anecdotes about the various sites we visited. A true breath of fresh air behind the wheel of a stunning convertible in the sunshine—an experience not to be missed.

Our experience with Caroline as our guide was absolutely wonderful. With excellent English, a great sense of humor, and an incredible knowledge of Marseille as a city as as well as of the people who inhabit it, she showed us all the high points of the city and gave us incredible insight regarding what makes this such a unique and special place. I was not expecting Marseille to be as interesting or diverse, and I was not anticipating such a detailed and in-depth presentation. It was truly wonderful, and I now look forward to the opportunity to return to Marseille again.

A great experience to enjoy a hike in the Calanques park. Our guide, Alex was very nice and knowledgeable about the region. Some parts of the hike were challenging but overall an unforgettable experience.

I can't thank Dennis and Colette enough for our tour! We were very lucky to be the only people on the tour so navigating and following Dennis was easy! He knew the perfect places to stop and take photos and he was so helpful with my daughter (who is registered disabled and unsteady on her feet) - unfortunately for us my son was ill on the trip (possibly a little too much sun) but Dennis stopped at a pharmacy and spoke to them in french to get him some medicine! He also helped us order the most incredible cakes in a wonderful patisserie and recommended the best ice-cream shop! Cassis is beautiful, exactly what I wanted to see - a marina full of cafes and bars with the cutest shops. I could have stayed all day! It's not the most 'tourist' place which made it feel very authentic but also meant that not everyone spoke English! If you have any reservations about booking, just do it! We were on a cruise and so nervous about not making it back but I had every faith in Dennis and he didn't disappoint. The only thing to be aware of is that driving in a major city, on the opposite side of the road (to England) isn't easy if you're a nervous driver but the car was great fun!
