Top Lake Maggiore Cooking Classes

We loved everything about this experience! First, our host's apartment was in the most beautiful area with a terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore. The cooking experience was amazing with details given at every step as well as help because rolling that dough is really hard! LolWhat we created looked and tasted unbelievable. Most importantly , we enjoyed having dinner with our hosts and learning so much about what it's like to live in northern Italy.

Absolutely loved our cooking tour, consisting of three couples from all over the world yet we all loved the experience of making homemade pasta and . The knowledge and ease which our chef explained things made the time go by quickly. Plus, eating such wonderful food with new friends and enjoying the lake area made this a tour we will never forget.

This was a lovely cooking class in the home of a local couple. I didn't realise til I was there that I had a private class, and it was such a treat. I had the opportunity to practice speaking Italian and make a couple of dishes - ravioli, tagliatelle and tiramisu.

Highly recommended! We felt very welcomed from the beginning. Cozy place, great hosts and so nice experience making delicious Italian food!

I would highly recommend this experience if you are travelling in this area of Italy. Gabriella and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasure to be in their company. I learnt how to make bruschetta, ravioli, tagliatelle and tirimisu all from scratch. We then sat down and ate and drank together. Wouldn't have missed it. Thank you so much both of you. Saluti !!

We were warmly welcomed by Gisella and had a great time with her. Very familiar and she is a great photographer. The pictures of us taking pasta, she sent us afterwards.

Gabriella was great! This is fun concept. Home cooks invite you into their homes. Then they teach you to cook. We prepared appetizers and rolled pasta for ravioli. We also made tiramisu. Then, we all sit down and eat the food we prepared together and learn about their lives.

Gabriella was delightful and we loved our class! Highly recommend while visiting Stresa! That said, be very mindful of the many emails that are sent. There are multiple addresses in the initial confirmation emails and navigating to the link with the actual location of the host's home was a bit confusing. I only took a star away due to that. The class and our host Gabriella was 5 stars!!!

We were welcomed at Gisella for a typical culinary workshop. We learned how to make tagliatelle with gorgonzola, ravioli and tiramisu. We loved this moment, the sharing of experiences, our lives too. Everything was delicious, as well as the chosen wine and bruschetta for our Welcoming. Thanks to Gisella for her simple and authentic Welcoming.

Gabriella has a welcoming personality and puts people at ease immediately. She is a wonderful cook and teacher. We made homemade ravioli with a sage and butter sauce, and tagliatelle pasta with a lite fresh tomato sauce. We usually buy homemade pasta, but Gabriella encouraged me and my husband throughout the creative cooking process about the ease of making your own fresh pasta. She focused on the importance of natural foods and home grown herbs. We rolled and rolled our dough and the final product stood the test! A delicious and memorable dinner with Gabriella and her husband. What would an Italian meal be without dessert? Gabriella taught us to create from scratch Tiramisu! It was easier than I expected, and the best that we have ever tasted! I can’t wait to make this meal for my family.

Gabriella and her husband were magnifico! We made tagliatelle in a red meat sauce, gnocchi in pesto, and herb and lemon ravioli in butter and sage. They hosted us in their home overlooking Lake Maggiore and we enjoyed wines perfectly paired with each dish. They treated us like familia! It was super intimate with our group of 2 couples. There is nothing like fresh pasta and even more special in such a unique setting with such great hosts! It was the best Italian dinner party with wonderful hosts! Mangia!
