Lake Maggiore 2026 Calendar of Events

We had such a wonderful experience with Davide! He drove us to several wineries and truly went above and beyond. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and so lovely to chat with throughout the day. It felt like much more than simply having a driver — Davide really added to the experience and was a memorable part of our trip. We would absolutely recommend him!

We had an awesome time with our hosts Gabriella and Fausto! Gabriella was an excellent teacher in helping us make 2 different pastas and a dessert. They made us feel welcomed in their lovely home!

It was such a hot day. We enjoyed the trip across the lake talking with Dario, and asking him questions. It was a beautiful relaxing day. We learned a lot of history about the area. We went around several of the islands learning information about them.We stopped and tied up to a buoy, and everyone could go swimming if they wanted to. He also had some wonderful drinks, and snacks set up for us. Everyone was relaxing and just enjoying their surroundings.Once swimming and snacks were over Dario cleaned everything up and we began heading back to shore as the sun was setting it was very beautiful, and just a wonderful relaxing time on the boat! We enjoyed it so very much, and would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that would enjoy a leisurely relaxing 3 hour boat ride. It was exactly what we needed on a hot day!!

We had a fantastic tour with Davide of the Borromean Islands and the Lombardy Countryside. This was the second time we had a tour with Davide and it was everything you could want in a tour of the Italian marvels of Northern Italy. He blended history, art and local culture so you left with a true understanding of the locale. It was pouring down rain and we were not bothered by it as he kept us engaged throughout the tour inside and out. He also took us to a traditional trattoria in the hills above Lake Maggiore for a special lunch with a spectacular view of the lake and countryside. He also provides recommendations on where also to go during our time in the area and his suggestions are always the best things to see. Best tour guide we have had in Italy. We highly recommend him and will tour with him again !!!

Outstanding experience. An informative tour of the cheese cellar, with fascinating insight into the history and development of the many different types of cheeses across Italy and wider. Very knowledgeable and humorous guide.A real eye opener about the evolution of cheese, followed by a very generous sampling board - indeed, others might call it a light lunch.Thoroughly recommended.

Great way to view the islands Beautiful gardens and palaces

Our Capt., Andrea, was as good as it gets. His knowledge of the lake and its history exceeded all expectations. He gave us the best recommendations for restaurants and scenery throughout the day. Excellent safety and professionalism as well.

We learned so much about the history of cheese. It was a wonderful experience! It was also fun to taste some of the cheese we learned about during the tour.

This is an absolute MUST if you are coming to Lake Maggiore! Andrea was our captain and he was a fantastic tour guide - funny, informative, and efficient (and spoke very good English!). He made sure we did everything we wanted to do and even made us a lunch reservation on Isola dei Pescatori. The boat was also very nice and spacious for 2 people - we booked the Cranchi CSL 27. We learned so much about the history of the lake and got to stop for swimming next to a 15th century castle in a secluded part of the lake. It was absolutely incredible and the highlight of our honeymoon for sure.

Our family had a great tour with Davide. He was very engaged, interesting, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend on the list of must dos!

This was a lovely cooking class in the home of a local couple. I didn't realise til I was there that I had a private class, and it was such a treat. I had the opportunity to practice speaking Italian and make a couple of dishes - ravioli, tagliatelle and tiramisu.

Highly recommended! We felt very welcomed from the beginning. Cozy place, great hosts and so nice experience making delicious Italian food!
