The trip was fantastic. We selected the sunset tour, going by bus and coming back by train. It was truly an amazing experience with the guides Osiris and Isidro explaining everything super clearly! Absolutely recommend it!

It is an excellent experience, both for those who traveled by train decades ago and for those who have never done so. I could not travel in the bar carriage because I was accompanied by a minor, but the first class carriage is equally satisfactory. On board they offer snacks, a tequila tasting and the staff are extremely friendly. The guided tour of the distillery and food on the hacienda exceeds expectations. It is advisable to buy the ticket that includes all activities, otherwise you do not have access to food or tequila tasting on board the train.

Super recommended for those who have never been to Tequila. Service on the Tequila Express train is the best. Arriving in Tequila, there is plenty to see too.

The best experience is a very nice experience, since they took us to a beautiful place, the Casa Souza tequila factory and the experience was unforgettable, without a doubt, I would repeat it again.

The José Cuervo Express tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The service was exceptional, the staff was warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about tequila and the history behind it. The entire experience felt organized, welcoming, and full of energy.The train itself is beautiful and comfortable, with excellent drinks and attention throughout the journey. The tour of the José Cuervo distillery was fascinating—informative, interactive, and full of unforgettable moments. We learned so much about the tequila-making process, from the agave fields to the final tasting.The tequila tastings were outstanding, and every drink we tried was top quality. The food provided during the experience was delicious and exceeded expectations. My mom and I took the Tequila Express recently and it was an incomparable experience. We booked directly through Tequila Express to save a little time in the morning. Instead of getting picked up at our hotel by a tour and starting at the Chamber of Commerce with coffee and pastry, we took an uber directly to the train station. The train station is beautiful. We thought we could pick up snacks before the trip but there wasn't a place to. The train leaves at 10:30 and we only needed to check in and get a wrist band. Arriving at 10 would give you plenty of time.The train is a leisurely two hour trip to Tequila. We booked the first class cabin which had very comfortable seating and excellent staff. The tour was only in Spanish. We were offered little sandwiches, a cocktail and two tastings of tequila (blanco and anejo). When we reached the town of Tequila, we boarded a bus for a field demonstration (bring a hat and sunscreen) and then a tour of the Sauza tequila factory. This part of the trip was a bit disorganized. We transferred to a different group to hear the explanations in english and spanish which meant a lot of standing around.We had a lovely meal along with entertainment after the tour. This was extremely well done and everyone was having a good time. Be prepared this is pretty late in the day so snack well earlier. The meal was followed by some free time in the town of Tequila which is a pretty little pueblo magico. We took a bus back to the train for another leisurely ride back although most folks were having a blast with free flowing tequila. Once we returned to the train station we caught another uber back to our hotel. All in all the staff was amazing and worked incredibly hard. We aren't big drinkers, but the train was beautiful and I'm glad we had this unique experience.To note- Jose Cuervo offers a different train experience. You can only take the train one way and the bus the other. This train leaves 90 minutes earlier in the morning.

This was a very fun experience. I would suggest bringing a small bag so that you are able to carry anything you want to buy along the trip.

This is an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Guadalajara. There are two tours available; the sunrise or the sunset tour. Which means, basically, you will take the train either up to Tequila in the morning or take it back in the evening. The other way is by bus. I would recommend the sunset tour (taking the train back from Tequila only because I can't imagine drinking that much tequila on a train at 9 in the morning! We were taken by luxury bus in the morning straight to the agave fields and served a fantastic breakfast of tamales and tequila with grapefruit juice. We spent time in the fields learning about the harvesting of the plants before being bussed over to one of the processing plants for a tour of the facility and how the tequila is made. The Jose Cuervo complex in downtown Tequila is stunningly beautiful, the tour is informative (in English or Spanish) and you have time for a late lunch and brief walk about the old town in the afternoon.Later in the afternoon, they present a Mexican show with Mariachis and dancers which was very lively - probably due to the non-stop serving of tequila drinks, after which we were bussed over to the train station for the 2 hour ride back to Guadalajara. The train is beautiful, the hosts are amazing; friendly and funny, and the ride back includes drinks (of course), several courses of tapas and a Tequila taste testing. We upgraded to the premium package (worth it) and be prepared, because this is about a 12 hour excursion (pace yourself on the the tequila drinks to really enjoy the whole day!)
