Top Jalisco Plantation Tours

This tour far exceeded our expectations which were high. Very knowledgeable tour guides, super interesting, filled with tasty bites and hands-on activities. My husband I absolutely loved it.., oh, and the chocolate is just amazing!

Adrian & Millie were absolutely amazing and made this experience so much fun! We learned so much about the history of cacao and it was delicious to eat chocolate that we made ourselves!! Thank you Adrian and Millie!

Booked the tour online and received prompt confirmation of the tour and agreed upon pickup location. Our tour guide Alejandro was on time and we set off after introductions. He told us that he would break the drive to San Sebastián del Oeste up with some stops in between. Our first stop was in Las Palmas where we were able to walk around and experience the town on a Sunday morning. It was a good stop and seeing the town was very nice. Our next stop was at a bakery where we got drinks and baked goods. This also provided a great viewing location of the bridge and the mountains. The baked good were awesome and I highly recommend the empanada filled with beef and cheese. Our next stop was at a distillery where we learned how agave is made into liquor. The owner (also named Alejandro) was excellent and fun. We sampled several of their products. We spent time in San Sebastián exploring the town, shops, and restaurants. All were wonderful and a lot of fun.We returned to Puerto Vallarta where all three of us on the tour commented about how much we enjoyed it. Alejandro is delightful to talk to and has a wealth of knowledge about local customs, plants, foods, etc. He was well prepared with an ice chest of cold beverages, bug spray, and everything we needed.I would definitely book another tour with Luna Tours and Alejandro!

Five Stars for Alejandro and Luna Tours PV!Our day trip to San Sebastian del Oeste was spectacular, all thanks to our amazing guide, Alejandro! From the start, his warm hospitality and attentiveness kept us comfortable and refreshed with cold drinks. He built the perfect itinerary. We loved stopping for incredible cinnamon rolls and mushroom cheese sandwiches at the bridge panadería, followed by a fantastic visit to the local distillery. San Sebastian is a charming town, but Alejandro’s passionate storytelling and deep knowledge of its history made the trip truly unforgettable. We highly recommend booking with him!

A memorable experience from start to finish. Simply loved the morning visit to Cafeteria El Cartero in Amacueca, pure bliss for a coffee junkie like me ;) The pueblo magico of Tapalpa and Las Piedrotas are the perfect introduction to the beautiful mountain scenery a stone's throw from Guadalajara. Best of all: Alejandro was apart from very knowledgeable also great fun. Even the Guadalajara evening rush hour couldn't dim his sense of humour, quite the feat! In short: highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun daytrip from downtown GDL.

This was a boutique tequila distillery which we were first introduced to in the tasting hut which had a breath taking view of the agave fields down below. Both the principle distiller and manager were present to give us a fascinating insight into tequila tasting, the 5 groups of tequila and how it is made. The tasting session came with food elements which paired and balanced each of the 3 tequilas we tried (blanco, añejo, reprosado). I loved how much detail was given throughout the tour in showing us the entire process from plant to bottle. The distillery itself is located within beautiful a beautiful garden in the heart of Amatiten, a quaint town with friendly locals. I highly recommend doing your tequila tour at Tequilera Hacienda de Oro!

We came here for our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything was wonderful, including the villa facilities and the service of the staff. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and it was clear that all the staff cared about making sure we enjoyed our stay.

The guide was super respectful, kind, and pleasant, his explanation was very enjoyable

It was a great experience! Millie and Gabby were knowledgeable and friendly. The chocolate making experience was amazing! If you love chocolate this is a great vacation option. We would definitely go again.

Thank you Alejandro for an amazing day! Personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had a great time!

Very nice people who truly cared that I got to see some great areas in Tequila on the tour. I enjoyed the expertise and knowledge of Agave Farming to Tequila distilling, along with history and folklore about the local area.Be clear in the beginning if you need an English language tour guide and everything will go great from there. We began in the Church Square and ended there taking photos since I felt a part of a family by the end of the tour!

Have such a great experience thankyou! It's been great.. never had any stress abd everyone has been so helpful

Excellent time at the chocolate experience! Both guides were informative, insightful, and friendly throughout the tour.We learned the difference between cacao and cocoa, the cultural history of the development of chocolate, and were even able to manually create chocolate from bean to chocolate bar to enjoy at the end.Great times for sure.

This is an absolute must-visit if you are even just remotely interested in chocolate, the history of cocoa, and how it’s made. I believe that would include most of us. :) we brought our 8 year old and our tour guide was very well informed, led a wonderfully engaging tour and it was very interactive for all of us. We even got to make our very own chocolate from fermentation to edible delight! I would definitely go back! Highly recommend this tour for everyone in your family!
